Jupiter in Gemini until 18 June 2014

Jupiter moves into Gemini today for the next - roughly - 12 months and brings with it an almost insatiable desire for information, communication and interaction. Large media empires were built during Jupiter in Gemini; Steve Jobs, for example, natally had Jupiter in Gemini and he built one of the biggest businesses in history based on the development of communication gadgets.

The coming months are a time for us to be more flexible in the way we think and the desire to learn and experience new things will be magnified. As a result, we may end up with a whole bunch of new people around us, putting people in touch with each other to cook up new ideas and projects. For some of us, the coming months may also be a time to go it alone when it comes to career; Jupiter in Gemini does not necessarily need full-time employment and is quite happy not to jump from one project to another.

The challenge, however, may be that we may get so caught up in day to day interaction and information gathering that we fail to see the bigger picture. Gemini is ruled by Mercury, the planet that rules the mind, facts and detailed pieces of information. When Jupiter moves into Gemini, the teacher and guru, the believer and faith-giver moves into the zone of flexibility and changeability. We can expect a lot of 'changes of minds', changing attitudes, beliefs and perspectives over the coming months.

Jupiter is also connected to a kite formation with Neptune, Saturn and Pluto and in a square with Uranus during his entire stay in Gemini. This sets powerful changes in motion depending on the areas touched in your charts.

But how does Jupiter in Gemini affect your sign?

Aries - you will transform and grow your philosophies through introspection, through courage and curiosity and then take action based on your aspirations. You may find you are more flexible and tolerant of others while a little it of ease should come back into the realm of relationships.

Taurus - money makes the world go round and no one realises that more than you this year. Other people's money and profits from your increasingly international business dealings are the sources of your financial success. But you'll have to put the work in first. All this is tied to your value system and as your bank balance increases, so too is your self-confidence.

Gemini - your leadership skills are required as your career takes off and your elevated to the next rung on the ladder. Equally, you may well go it alone now. Relationships are also key now and the urge to merge is prominent these days.

Cancer - your belief system is undergoing a process of transformation and you may find yourself withdrawing a little from daily life as you figures out what's next. On an external level, you may find yourself taking some time out and move abroad for some time, maybe even a long time.

Leo - expressing who you are or realising how the impact your own creativity has can now help you grow your circle of friends, grow your business network and ultimately your bonus pot. This is a time when existing contacts may be replaced by brand new ones - and quick.

Virgo - a year of peaks or a peak year, only you will now by the end of the coming 12 month period. Relationships and property matters now determine the direction your going into. At the same time, your career is taking off and in all likelihood, you're the one doing all the deals and being the one everyone looks to for leadership and direction.

Libra - ever wanted the whole world to know what you're thinking? Maybe not but the urge to share your divine insights could be overwhelming now. Publishing or starting a blog may be something to consider now as the brand new you continues to emerge and grow stronger - and perhaps you actually do have a thing or two to share from your year of maturing and shedding some old skin.

Scorpio – your finances are undergoing some transformation as do your values. The pace of transformation can be a little frightening at times but will ultimately have a rejuvenating effect on what and who you value. This is also the time for property deals and inheritance.

Sagittarius – a great year for Sagittarians who are keen to finally commit to one and one relationship only. I know this doesn’t sound like you but you may just meet that person that gives you the space you need and has a similar sense of humour. After all those years of you travelling the world, this maybe someone who grew up in the same street!

Capricorn – this is the year to improve your fitness, your diet and your work life balance. Enough of working for the sake of it, you’ll need some time out to look after yourself and your wellbeing. This will also benefit you mentally as work pressures may still flare up over time.

Aquarius – a fun year for Aquarians. Travel is on the cards and so is anything to do with having a little bit of fun, romance and being creative (also procreative!) as your network of contacts is on the increase. Ultimately this also benefits your income but be aware of gambling tendencies.

Pisces – you’re pouring your energies into all things to do with your home whether it’s selling, buying, refurbishing – it’ll have to be bigger and better. Along the way, you’ll become an expert in property deal-making.

30.5.13

Mercury in the signs - Libra

With ease and elegance

Terminartors
Although much depends on the position of Venus in the chart, this Mercury is polite, elegant, eloquent and sociable and knows what to say in every situation. He is a diplomat. For Mercury in Libra, debates need to be fair and balanced and, ideally, all discussions end to the benefit of everyone- or at least so he likes to think.

Someone with this placement has a special sensitivity to keeping the peace and harmony. Mercury in Libra does well in all areas where an eye for detailed design is required, such as architecture. He also does well in all environments where contracts need to be negotiated – although he seeks harmony, Libra is also a relatively cold sign so, at the same time, he won’t be afraid to stand his ground if he believes things aren’t right, just and equal. People with a preponderance of air signs in their chart will observe discussions from a cool distance and like a chess player, Mercury in Libra will wait to make his next move to add to the debate from yet another angle. If Venus is in a good position in the chart, then someone with Mercury in Libra tends to be a successful deal-maker, negotiator and also Chairperson.

The downside is that someone with Mercury in Libra can be so eager to please that he can’t make up his mind. At times, there seems to be an endless lack of ability to make a decision and a change of mind seems all too frequent.

Mercury in the signs - Virgo

Objective and analytical thinkers

Mercury is at home in the sign of Virgo and someone with this placement is able to hold large amounts of information and convey them in a precise and accurate manner – always aiming to use the right vocabulary for what is being discussed. This is a highly analytical placement and in particular in this sign, problems are understood and analysed quickly and thoroughly with a practical solution as the outcome. Virgo is a mutable sign so someone with this placement often has a good memory that connects several layers and dimensions with ease – although it’s an earth sign, Mercury in Virgo is nevertheless the most flexible of the three (Capricorn, Taurus and Virgo).

Mercury is not just what we talk about, it’s also what we think (and write!)about. Virgo is the sign, and associated with the house, that rules conflict, arguments, health, medicine, pharmaceuticals, nutrition, small pets, being of service and helping others as well as re-establishment of balance – often this is what Mercury in Virgo tends to think about.

This is an intellectual sign and at times highly strung sign that does not always have the patience for those that don’t follow even the most basic of concepts. The intolerance is not necessarily directed at those that aren’t quick enough (this would be Mercury in Aries) but at those that don’t place any importance on overly detailed explanations and thought processes. Therefore, you will be hard pressed to find someone with Mercury in Virgo turning up to a meeting ill-prepared.

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow is an outspoken advocate of non-carb diets.

Bohomoth

She not only has her Mercury in Virgo but also her Sun (meaning she truly embodies the Virgo principles) as well as Uranus and Pluto. In the 8th house, she may find that changes in nutrition are therapeutic for her.

June 2013 horoscope - Aries

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the monthly solar horoscope for birthdays from 14th April to 15th May or Aries Ascendants or Moons

By Louise Gilbert
Money makes the world go round dear Aries and over the past year especially you will have had more than usual to keep that little world of yours spinning. The sources could have varied and some avenues, ventures and ideas turned out more profitable than some while others proofed to be illusions. While Jupiter was in your neighbouring sign of Taurus, you had the opportunity to work up those plans and turn them into profitable activities and finish up unfinished business with someone or something that began in November 2011. Now that Jupiter has moved on into the sign of Gemini, you’ll be busy communicating and expanding your network – sales, negotiations and teamwork feature strongly over the next 12 months and in June in particular. In your quest to expand your network, learn, make new experiences or even travel, your may team up with someone else that complements what you already know. Not only will you find yourself touching base with others (including your siblings) more, you may find yourself writing, communicating and thinking about what’s going on in your private imagination – and if you are so inclined start putting pen to paper. Publishing your thoughts and ideas on a large scale features very strongly in your chart this month and in the not too distant future cold also result in you travelling more for your work or interests. However, you also need to be careful of mental exhaustion and a loss of physical vitality which may have an impact on you now.

So while your mental capacity and your ability to multi-task increases – you’ll be a busy been in June - the new Moon on the 8th June in Taurus heralds a new era in terms of your finances and whatever seeds were sown over these past 12 months continue to bear fruits, although in a new shape and form.

All these transits in June are also connected to new job opportunities if you are not the type to go it alone (we may be hard-pressed to find an Aries who doesn’t in one way or the other!) so interviews and salary negotiations are also on the cards.

Equally, June is a much better month for your love life that receives a little bit of a boost despite nagging Saturn in opposition. By now, you’ll be used to some opposition from others – partners, peers and anyone you get in contact with on a day to day basis -  in particular those born around the end of April and early May or those with their Moon signs and Ascendants at 8 to 12 degrees of Aries. However, this month, the urge to connect through the means of technology, as you travel to work or go on your work trips, features strongly and comes with less effort.

In June, the grand air trine formed by Neptune, Saturn, Venus, Mercury, the Sun and the Moon this month is a beautiful and welcome respite, introducing a little bit of ease. Our ideals are high this month and our ideas far reaching. Just as the summer begins in the Northern hemisphere, we are ready to socialise and interact with others a lot more than usual. From the interaction with others, new ideas and concepts are formed, new associations developed, new facts picked up and experiences made. For you, this sweeps in a social time that connects the areas in your life to do with friendships, relationships and the great art of communication. On a more tangible level, this can turn out to be a profit from our trade and your by now well-honed sales skills. Certainly by the time the full Moon on 23rd June in Sagittarius comes around, you’ll be ready to sign on the dotted line or have someone else do as much.

Have a great month, Aries!

June 2013 horoscope - Taurus

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the monthly solar horoscope for birthdays from 16th May to 15th June of Taurus Ascendants and Moons

By Louise Gilbert
Taurus, it’s still your birthday month and June starts off with the Sun and Mars still in your sign giving you a lot of energy, drive and sex appeal. People will notice you more than usual and while you’re not one who needs to be in the spotlight at all times, you now find yourself being the centre of attention in every room you walk into. However, others may want to watch taking you for granted these days – although Mars in Taurus is slow to anger, once your temper gets going, there is no holding back. The raging bull is let loose – and most of this seems to be pointed towards the direction of relationships! If there is an object of affection you are eyeing up, then, unusually so, you are the one taking the initiative now and if you are coupled up, you are the one who initiates those chats now and you are the one who take the initiative to move the relationship forward. The new Moon on 8th June in Taurus is your annual new beginning! It’s the time of the year when you reinvent yourself and when you step into the future so to speak. It’s a busy time of the year usually when you look at what’s ahead for you in the coming weeks and months and you take on your responsibilities enthusiastically. For you, it seems as though a lot has to do with your home and living situation but with such a heavy focus on your finances this month, your bank balance may play a significant role in activities being launched around this time.

But the big news this month is that Jupiter changes signs, moving from your solar first house into your 2nd house of earned income and your values. After 12 months of personal growth and defining or redefining your plans, it’s time to reap the rewards, big time. And that’s how you like it. Jupiter, the planet of expansion and the ruler of your house of gains forms a so-called Dhana yoga for a whole year providing material wealth from your own doing and involvement in large-scale, international projects. Equally, this is a combination of a wealthy second life partner if this is what you’re after these days.

In June, you may not only be preoccupied with what you earn and how you are going to increase your already substantial bank account, you may also be dealing with matters of inheritance, insurance and tax issues. All of this may be tied into a property you inherit or are about to purchase or sell. This month, this area is a big focus for you as you are getting your finances in order. There don’t seem to be any pitfalls other than not to overspend – and yes, this is not an easy task for a luxury-loving Taurus who has a stellium of planets transiting through the house of money. This is also the area in the chart to do with your values, all of which you may be thinking about more closely now.

What’s giving you wings this month is the grand air trine formed by Neptune, Saturn, Venus, Mercury, the Sun and the Moon this month is a beautiful and welcome respite, introducing a little bit of ease. Our ideals are high this month and our ideas far reaching. Just as the summer begins in the Northern hemisphere, we are ready to socialise and interact with others a lot more than usual. From the interaction with others, new ideas and concepts are formed, new associations developed, new facts picked up and experiences made. For you, this connects your professional life and your career with your finances and your daily routine. It’s likely that you’ve been somewhat unclear about where your life is heading at the moment or whether your existing job is still as fulfilling as you thought it would be. While these areas are under review, there is also a lot of effortlessness around – but you have to recognise it. Trines always need to be kick-started but luckily, the full Moon on 23rd June in Sagittarius gets involved and puts some of your concerns around loans, inheritance and generally speaking, other people’s resources, to rest. Equally, the end of June is a time for you to focus on contracts which means a new job offer could be negotiated.

Have a profitable month, Taurus!

June 2013 horoscope - Gemini

I follow the vedic calendar; this is the monthly solar horoscope for birthdays from 16th June to 15th July or Gemini Ascendants and Moons

By Louise Gilbert
You’re bouncing off the walls this month Gemini as you feel a definite shift is in the air! You are not someone who needs to be the centre of attention at all times but your energy is contagious now as you look forward into the future with a great deal of optimism. And so you should. Although for the first week in June, you are still clearing out old baggage and renewing your spirits, especially around the time of the new Moon on the 8th June in Taurus, June’s activities and general pace takes off with the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Jupiter in your sign. This ensures you feel attractive and ready for action. It’s your annual new beginning and a time of reinvention and whatever plans you’ve been hatching and whatever has been brewing underneath the surface is now ready to burst to the open. For some of you, this may have to do with relationships which, over the past year, you may have kept a little more private than other people as well as yourself may have previously been used to. Equally, if you were involved with someone over the past 12 months, then this person may have travelled a lot or there was some sort of a distance there that kept you apart. In the worst case, your fantasies and wishful thinking may have replaced tangible and realistic partnerships with somewhat unrealistic expectations on relationships – but let’s hope not! In any case, relationships over the next 12 months and in June in particular will be a major focus as you identify, perhaps more than ever, with being in a relationship and what it means to be part of a couple. Gemini’s don’t commit too easily but over the coming period, you associate strongly with your partner and his or her needs.

So, for the most part, June will be quite a vibrant month for you, you are charismatic and confident. This also has a positive effect on your career where you are now regarded as competent, competitive and a trend setter. As a Gemini, you may prefer to not be bound to a long-term contract so working for yourself is now a very viable option and in June especially, these qualities attract new customers or exiting new work projects to you where you take on the role of the leader. Previously, you may have not been very fussed about climbing the career ladder, and you probably still aren’t, but your flexible, innovative and visionary approach and way of being is in demand.

Basically, the big news this month is that Jupiter changes signs and moves into Gemini for the next 12 months. In your own sign, this greatly enhances your optimism and positive outlook on life. If we have positive expectations, a lore more can be achieved as you won’t even notice when you fail, i.e. have to try again! To have this attitude is a gift that you’ll be given and that you need to make sure you carry forward with you forever. As your whole life expands over these next weeks and months - the 1st house is also your body, so watch the weight – it’s easy to glance over the opportunities you are now given. Often with Jupiter transits, the present that is presented to you is only recognised once the transit passes, so make sure, you remain aware of the changes going on around you.

In June we also have a grand air trine formed by Neptune, Saturn, Venus, Mercury, the Sun and the Moon. This means our ideals are high in June and our ideas far reaching. Just as the summer begins in the Northern hemisphere, we are ready to socialise and interact with others a lot more than usual. From the interaction with others, new ideas and concepts are formed, new associations developed, new facts picked up and experiences made. As an air sign, you are in your element! You are ready to flirt, be creative and create something that truly reflects who you are – for some this includes children! Equally, relationships are serious business for Gemini’s these days and the full Moon on 23rd June in Sagittarius puts the spotlight on partnerships. It’s a culmination point and you are now fully aware of the facts and where you stand with one particular person. Sometimes full Moons spell the end of relationships but I think this one is not one of them. Although this desperate urge for freedom and to live life exactly the way you want it may get in the way, Saturn’s influence from your house of true love is a stabilising one. So, if you are single, then this time period could spell the end of that status – of course everything is a process and this is one which began in late December 2011 when you either finished a previous relationship or started working on yourself (I know!) and expectations and attitudes that made you repeat relationship patterns that after this point were no longer acceptable.

Happy birthday and have a great month, Gemini!

June 2013 horoscope - Cancer

I follow the Vedic calendar; this is the monthly solar horoscope for birthdays from 16th July to 15th August or Cancer Ascendants and Moons

By Louise Gilbert
Cancer, you’ve been going all out over this past year and the last couple of months were a bit of a whirlwind with the eclipses affecting the very foundations of your life as well as where you are going next including your career and relationships. Most recently, you may have found yourself surrounded by a very different group of people, many from far-away places and many that have provided you with opportunities to step up the career ladder. This resulted in a nice little bonus to ring in the summer months and if this hasn’t happened yet, then the new Moon on 8th June in Taurus signals a bit of additional cash landing in your lap. For most of you, this may be down to the hard work you’ve put into building your global client base, selling your or your company’s assets all over the world. Equally, if the latest eclipse cycle affected your career path to the extent that you feel you’ve seen enough, this new Moon is a time when you start networking again on a major scale – an in particular internationally. Group dynamics are also something that you will need to take into consideration or perhaps you are simply more aware of them now as your circle of friends may have expanded and changed beyond all recognition over the past 12 months.

Early June is generally a good time for you to set yourself new goals for the next six to nine months and think about how you can achieve them. Your friends may play a substantial part in this.

However, the big news for June really is that Jupiter changes signs and moves into Gemini, the signs before yours. Together with the Sun, Venus, Mercury, the Moon and later on also Mars, Jupiter moves into your house of behind the scenes, mediation and rest. And just as well, it’s been a busy few months and you are probably craving a little downtime. You may have a little less energy now but it all serves the purpose of getting you back up and running come July. But for the time being, June 2013 will be a very intuitive period and your dreams may be more vivid than usual. Perhaps they are also trying to tell you something, so listen carefully. You may also find yourself daydreaming a lot more – you simply may want to be somewhere else now. That’s why this area in your chart which is so heavily emphasised this month also has to do with distant lands, long-distance travel, long periods abroad and beaches! Who knows, if you back your suitcase now, you may not come back. What may be good to be aware of is that over the next 12 months and in particular in June, you may come across as a little withdrawn or not quite present. This is often noticeable in people with a heavy 12th house influence so if you have to stay highly focused at work and constantly interact, you may have to make the effort to get your point across clearly.

What may make a clear focus and straight forward communication a little more difficult is that the grand air trine formed by Neptune, Saturn, Venus, Mercury, the Sun and the Moon connects three areas in your chart that are not very visible to everyone but yourself – and sometimes maybe not even yourself although, we know how much you value your privacy, Cancer! On a less tangible level, the areas are those of your intuition and your dreams, your emotions and hidden fears. There are no challenges involved in these areas but what you are left with is probably a feeling of ease and perhaps even contentment as you kind of find your happy medium again – at least for a little while. The only things you need to watch out for now is your health and overworking yourself to the point of exhaustion – your energy levels are at their all-year low.

On a more tangible level, this grand trine can have an impact on your living situation (thinking about moving abroad?), your finances including sorting out bank loans and tax issues as well as visualising what your brand new life will look like. I know I started the previous sentence talking about what’s tangible about next month’s transits but the stellium in Gemini in your house of dreams and intuition just means that the external results are, well, more internal!

The full Moon on 23rd June in Sagittarius then shakes you awake out of your dreamlike state and it’s quite literally back to work or back to the fitness studio! Your daily routines require some attention now. Venus also moves into your sign at the end of the month, ready to draw the spotlight on yourself just in time for your birthday. Not only has this a beneficial effect on relationships but also your emotional state.

Have a joyful month, Cancer!

June 2013 horoscope - Leo

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the monthly solar horoscope for birthdays from 16th August to 15th September or Leo Ascendants and Moons

By Louise Gilbert
Leo, it’s not what you it’s who you know in June in particular and for the next 12 months in general. The big news for June 2013 is that Jupiter changes signs and moves into Gemini, your 11th house of profits, networking, friends, hopes, dreams and goals. For you this shifts some of the good fortune, opportunities and general ‘grandness’ into the area in your chart to do with gains. After a year of you working at your career prospects and generally making sure you’re quite visible in the job, this is a time to reap the rewards. It may be that your sources of income multiply or your customer base suddenly (or maybe not so suddenly after all the hard work you’ve put in) expands while at the same time you find yourself working every room you enter, walking away with a multitude of new business contacts.

Much of this has to do with a very positive outlook on life now that makes sure you are in the right place at the right time. You’re well-connected these days and the coming year and in particular June should be a very social time for you. Leos are natural entertainers anyway but you now turn into a networking machine, entertaining large groups of people that you may end up leading to bigger and better things. This can be a very profitable time for you! Inheritance, property ownership and insurance pay-outs may also contribute substantially to your source(s) of income over this time.

Ultimately, these transits also have a positive effect on your relationships which, over this coming period, receive a lot more planetary support. If you are single, then all the networking you’ll be doing over the next few weeks and months might just mean that you’ll bump into someone who you are on the same wavelength with.

The new Moon on the 8th June in Taurus in your house of career and life direction is your annual new beginning in this area. With Jupiter in the house of global networking and the new Moon in the house of career, it seems very likely that any new beginning in this area is now connected to overseas – in the months to come, you may just operate in an increasingly international setting. The grand air trine formed by Neptune, Saturn, Venus, Mercury, the Sun and the Moon later on in the month will facilitate this and connect you and your ideas, your earning power and negotiating skills with the creativity of those closest to you – potentially a romantic or business partner. So, on the one hand, you’re able to close quite profitable business deals now and on the other, you’re in the mood for some romance and these transits in the air signs provide even more fuel to the already charged fire signs! Air feeds fire so romantically, this could also turn out to be…profitable let’s say.

This is generally a beautiful time and welcome respite, introducing a little bit of ease. Our ideals are high this month and our ideas far reaching. Just as the summer begins in the Northern hemisphere, we are ready to socialise and interact with others a lot more than usual. From the interaction with others, new ideas and concepts are formed, new associations developed, new facts picked up and experiences made.

After a busy month of socialising, the full Moon on 23rd June in Sagittarius in your 5th house will find you extremely charged and ready for some fun and romance. While the needs of others, in particular friends, perhaps older siblings but possibly also work and clients, if you have any, may somehow interfere with your plans, ultimately, this is can be quite a romantic time too. This full Moon is conjunct Pluto so this can also be a highly emotional time for you so make sure you have some fun.

Have a fabulous month, Leo!

June 2013 horoscope - Virgo

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the monthly solar horoscope for birthdays from 16th September to 15th October or Virgo Ascendants and Moons

By Louise Gilbert
Virgo, the this month could affect you as well as the other Mercury-ruled sign of the zodiac, Gemini, quite strongly. For quite some time now you had to keep one eye on your finances and may have felt a little short of cash while at the same time trying to figure out why the hell your getting such mixed messages at work and from employers. Maybe you’ve by now decided that your job needs to have a little bit more meaning and that it should be something you can be really passionate about while making sure you’ve got all the freedom in the world to do as you please. Independence in pretty much all your undertakings is a big thing for you these days and this also includes relationships.

Now, the big news this month is that Jupiter changes signs and for you this shifts some of the good fortune, opportunities and general ‘grandness’ into the area in your chart to do with your career. Although Jupiter doesn’t really like this area in someone’s chart, he want to philosophise, travel and the spread the word – whatever that may be – and not climb the career ladder, but I think that for you, this next year and in particular June will open the doors to go into a new direction. If you were a little unsure about the direction you want to take next, this month should see things shift and become clearer. On the one hand, you’ll be a lot more visible to potential employers, if you are looking for a job. Combined with a focus on your finances and the eclipses having shaken things up in this area, a pay rise should be on the cards too. On the other hand, one of the priorities over the next year, and this is connected to your whole life direction, are property matters. If you are looking to buy a (new) home or are thinking about selling, then June in particular but the next 12 months in general mean your attention will be on this area in life. And all of this is connected in a way to what you want to do next in life and especially where.

The new Moon on the 8th June in Taurus is in an area in your chart that has to do with higher education, travelling, faith and teaching and some of you may well decide to further their skills to expand career opportunities, perhaps in an area where you help those who are at a disadvantage socially or physically. But this may also simply be a time of renewed faith in what’s to come and in the choices you’re about to take. The grand air trine in June will help you with this. It is formed by Neptune, Saturn, Venus, Mercury, the Sun and the Moon this month is a beautiful and welcome respite, introducing a little bit of ease. Our ideals are high this month and our ideas far reaching. Just as the summer begins in the Northern hemisphere, we are ready to socialise and interact with others a lot more than usual. From the interaction with others, new ideas and concepts are formed, new associations developed, new facts picked up and experiences made. For you, this combines the areas in your chart to do with your finances, work and life direction as well as your day to day work and general routines. Although you are a mutable sign which means you have to think things through over and over again before you take you pick, things can really fall into place now.

The full Moon on 23rd June in Sagittarius is in your 4th house of the home and this is a culmination point and in all likelihood the moment when you make your decision.  This can be an emotionally quite intense time where you are focused on building and securing some foundations in life and this includes putting in an offer on a house, exchanging with a potential buyer or signing a new contract at work that sees you take on not necessarily more responsibility but certainly more of a leadership role. Equally, this is also the time when you realise you’ve spent too much time at work and not enough time at home or at a place where you can withdraw and gather your thoughts. As a Virgo, this is always important to you.

For those who are single, the next 12 months are a time when you could meet someone at work, who is a bit of a high-flyer and who may also help you further your career prospects - I know this sounds a little strange but one in five of us apparently meet their partner at work! For those that are in a relationship, the next 12 months are a time when your existing relationship feels or becomes a bit more stable, which may be good news for some as predictability is not likely to be something you’ve seen a lot of in partnership recently.

Have a life-changing month, Virgo!

June 2013 horoscope - Libra

I follow the Vedic calendar; this is the monthly solar horoscope for birthdays from 16th October to 15th November or Libra Ascendants and Moons

By Louise Gilbert
Libra, I know you still have Saturn in your sign and especially if your Moon is in Libra, you will feel the pressure, emotional upheaval and a little bit of uncertainty around and within you. Saturn is the ruler of your 4th house of your home, house and emotions as well as your 5th house of creative self-expression, romance and children. You identify strongly with these areas at the moment and both of these are currently connected to how you view yourself and the world. To put it more simply, your focus is on your home and your house as well as children, fun and romance. In both areas you would have faced some challenges over these past months but at the same time, you would have also seen some major progress and milestones in these areas that pushed your self-development a good bit forward – the eclipses in April and May would have done the rest to get you going. I am emphasising this for you as although Saturn on the Ascendant, Sun or Moon is not easy, it is in one of your four ‘kendra’ or pillar houses which form the basis of our lives. In Vedic astrology, this is a good placement that gives you positive results in these areas although slowly. I felt it’s important for you to know if you feel that things are still not shifting quickly enough!

Having said that, I think June will be a really nice month for you with a lot of planetary support and a shift from you focusing so much on finances, pensions, insurance and inheritance matters on the one hand and intimacy and your deepest fears on the other. The big news this month is that Jupiter changes signs and for you this shifts some of the good fortune, opportunities and general ‘grandness’ into the area in your chart to do with travelling, higher education, religion, mentoring and what it is you belief in. Generally in June, these areas are key for you but for the next 12 months, what you belief in may take on a broader and more generous and tolerant feel. You may become more ideological and philosophical over this time and depending on other factors in your chart, the way you communicate may also take on a more ‘preaching’ style. You may also become more involved in teaching and education – perhaps globally or with an international perspective.

If you are still dealing with financial matters as a hangover from May, then the new Moon on the 8th June in Taurus is a good time to start looking into financial planning and initiate conversations with people that are in a position to help you out financially. Equally, it may also be that an inheritance can help you along with your plans as well as your partners’ resources – which is actually quite strongly indicated. If there has been any lack of transparency in relationships or financial dealings with others, then this should clear up towards the end of the month.

But what I like most about this month is the grand air trine which is formed by Neptune, Saturn, Venus, Mercury, the Sun and the Moon. This is a beautiful and welcome respite, introducing a little bit of ease and ensuring our ideals are high and our ideas far reaching. Just as the summer begins in the Northern hemisphere, we are ready to socialise and interact with others a lot more than usual. From the interaction with others, new ideas and concepts are formed, new associations developed, new facts picked up and experiences made. For you, as an air sign, this trine focuses on yourself, your area of self-express and true love as well as your beliefs and sense of optimism. This mix put together in one bag, stirred and shaken, produces a great deal of creativity and the stamina and focus to deliver concrete results. This has to do with creative projects that allow you to show a bit more of who you really are; it includes children, your own, the ones that are planned and, if factors in your chart support this, then the ones you look after on behalf of other people including step-children!

Many Libras are undertaking some kind of new learning, developing new skills and working on (smaller) projects at the moment and the full Moon on 23rd June in Sagittarius may bring a course or project to a finish. Whatever it is you finish up now started in around December 2011 and in all likelihood has to do with your career - whenever the Moon is involved, the areas of career and life direction are affected and this time through developing new skills or finishing up some sort of paper work.

All that’s left to say, Libra, is have productive month!

June 2013 horoscope - Scorpio

I follow the sidereal or Vedic calendar; this is the June 2013 horoscope for birthdays from 16th November to 15th December or Scorpio Ascendants and Moons

By Louise Gilbert
Scorpio, your dealings with others are on the agenda this month and in particular in the first two weeks June 2013, you may be crafting financial agreements or you are working on the state of your relationship and how it should look and feel like moving forward. What are the foundations you want to build your joint futures on and do you or your partner have the emotional and financial resources to implement the plans you are so eager to implement?

The new Moon on the 8th June is your annual new beginning in your house of committed relationships and business partnerships. It’s a supportive new Moon and a good time to steer a certain relationship into a new direction. With Mars in the mix, you’ll have the energy to initiate and push forward with suggestions and ideas of what needs to improve, brought in and change in your existing relationships. You now identify strongly with your partner and their needs but Scorpios, always need to be aware of possible friction and tension that come with an intense focus on relationships.  If joint finances are the issue, don’t let things get to you and be blown out of all proportion.

Needless to say that this is also a really nice time for single Scorpios and hopefully most will have felt a change in the air since May and especially around the time of the lunar eclipse on 25th May. Scorpios with their Ascendants, Suns or Moons at 10 degrees of Scorpio (or those born around 26th November) would have felt this the most. The lunar eclipse in your sign followed by the new Moon in your opposite sign supported by Uranus in your house of true love may just sweep someone new into your life. Equally, if you met someone over this past year as Jupiter provided you with opportunities around relationships and brought the optimism around relationships back into your life, you are now eager to move things to the next level. You are dividing responsibilities and at the same time establishing more intimacy with your partner as Jupiter, the planet of expansion moves on into your 8th house of joint resources, intimacy – but also secrets.

So, the big news this month is that Jupiter changes signs and for you this shifts some of the good fortune, opportunities and general ‘grandness’ into the area in your chart to do with deep healing and some sort of a transformation of the state of your finances. The speed in which transformation takes place can be a little terrifying at first but the emphasis is on regeneration and this also concerns fears and anxieties you’ve been carrying around with you for some time.

Over this coming year, you may also find yourself dealing more with concerns around your pensions, insurances, inheritance, wills and family estates. It’s probably been a long time coming but sorting out your financial future is an important part of life and the process, as you go through it particularly in June, may be a healing one that allows you to put to rest some of the ghosts from the past. The full Moon on 23rd June in Sagittarius has the potential to bring any financial dealings with banks, insurance companies, the tax man or to do with inheritance to an end. For some, this may have been a long process that began back in November 2011 and whatever you have been dealing with and that has had an impact on your finances is now finished up. As you went through this process, what you truly value – including yourself – may have changed in shape, form and expectation.

So, the grand air trine formed by Neptune, Saturn, Venus, Mercury, the Sun and the Moon this month is a beautiful and welcome respite, introducing a little bit of ease. Our ideals are high this month and our ideas far reaching. Just as the summer begins in the Northern hemisphere, we are ready to socialise and interact with others a lot more than usual. From the interaction with others, new ideas and concepts are formed, new associations developed, new facts picked up and experiences made. For you, Scorpio this air trine connects you with people from abroad, perhaps you are considering a move and if not to a foreign country, then to a new home. It may even be that it’s just a home with four walls to start with as Neptune going through your 4th house of your roots has not provided a lot of stability in this area over the past years. The effortlessness that is introduced through trines may alleviate some of the pressure of the 7 ½ year Sade Sati period that those with a Scorpio Moon are currently going through.

Have a month full of depth, Scorpio!
