By Louise Gilbert
irgo, you have an important 12 months ahead, financially and personally. Over the past year and more, you will have certainly noticed Saturn’s limiting influence on your finances which by now would have resulted in you taking a different approach to earning your money, you may have drawn up a savings plan and consequently, you may have changed your attitude toward materialism entirely. At this moment in time, you are one of the more freedom-loving signs and with ongoing changes around work and career, you may have come to the conclusion that although money makes the world go round, it’s independence and a freedom to choose how you earn it and what you do with it that keeps your world spinning. In the coming 12 months, you’ll finish up and consolidate what you’ve learnt about finances as you prepare for another cycle in your life.

In the meantime, you could be busy trying to make your money from anything to with health and fitness – perhaps you’ve decided to become a yoga teacher, train as a nutrition consultant or other health expert which allows you to follow a less rigid day-to-day regime. Equally, some of you may have decided or will decide to get married a second time round or enter another serious partnership and I’m not saying you’re turning into a gold digger but your (potential) partner may come with a nice little stash of cash stacked away somewhere, lucky you!

Along with changes in career, your relationships remain on the agenda and a crucial part of your life in 2014. If you are single your chances of meeting someone at work are high, at least until the summer of 2014. Most (or typical) Virgos tend to go for optimistic and generous types and whoever you choose to get involved with now is also someone who is able to back you up professionally – even if it’s more in the role of a mentor. Along with the final round of eclipses affecting your finances, the most important time for relationships will be March, April and May 2014. These could, as always be business related and a lot of it may have to do with you doing some hand-holding and guiding but equally, if you are single, this could be a very romantic time and one where your focus will be on commitment and partnerships. Perhaps you’re already at the stage where you’re talking money and children, if so, you’ll be having a few discussions then. The planet Mars will also be stationed on your sign for a whole 8 months (!) making you more argumentative (yes, even more so than usual!) but also more energetic and keen to get things done and move forward. This is a transformative time for you, be careful not to go overboard with forceful criticism.

In any case, during this time, you’ll realise a thing or two about yourself which is just as well as well as the really big news of 2014 for you is that Rahu and Ketu – or the North node and South nodes of the Moon - change signs in mid-July. After an 18-month stay shaking up your finances, now it’s time to break out of your own shell. You can sometimes put yourself down a little or underestimate how much you bring to the table but this year, you are challenging the limits of how you see yourself or of how others see you – this can also include your appearance. It makes you more determined and others may see you as more of a risk-taker – you’ll want to live life to the fullest, strongly searching for your individuality and for your true nature. This might make you feel like an outcast at times as you’re trying to figure out who you are morphing into. During this process, you’re likely to be attracted to people who, from your point of view, have a missing part of yourself. You’ll step out of the culture you’ve known to look at what’s happening beyond the horizon.

Added to that is a whole new circle of friends and acquaintances – probably a result of you changing as a person. But not only is this a good time to expand your network, this is also a good time for relationships that are blessed by Jupiter’s aspect onto your house of relationships. Other people, including your partner, can count on your support.

Your solar year ends with a solar eclipse in 1st house of self, the beginning of you break-free period as you remove yourself from old circumstances and behaviours.

Have a great year, Virgo!

Annual forecasts are very broad, so get in touch if you are interested in an individual chart reading. In readings, I use the Indian Dasha system in individual forecasts which is known for its accuracy. You can also follow me on Facebook, Google + and Twitter, see you there! The Moon in the signs - Sagittarius

Hunting for the truth

The Moon in Sagittarius is naturally attuned to emotional wisdom and strives towards religious and spiritual awareness. Someone with this placement is generous in spreading their wisdom and may be a born teacher, mentor or a guru-type person to someone else or a whole group of people, perhaps even on a global scale. The sign of Sagittarius is an inherently optimistic sign and someone with the Moon here may be the one who loves demonstrating how the future can be a brighter place.

The Moon in Sagittarius can show people the path to enlightenment and wisdom. The fundamental drive here is to nurture others with knowledge to be confident and optimistic. This Moon may be filled with a missionary zeal to improve the world and help others achieve more prosperity, positive changes and awareness in their lives.

Someone with this placement is not interested in embellishments, this is a hunter for the truth, no matter how painful it can be. If exaggerated, this tendency can come across as quite preachy and grand. At the same time, striving for constant improvement can feel tiresome to others or even downright invasive, in particular for those with their Moon in Scorpio or Cancer.

They are the born discoverers and world travellers – the Moon in Sagittarius can feel at home anywhere in the world.

Johnny Depp has his Moon in Sagittarius and the role of Pirates of the Caribbean embodies this Moon sign perfectly.

Moon in the signs - Scorpio

Emotional control

With the Moon in Scorpio, there is a deep seated need and desire to control and stay in control of emotions and even physical surroundings. Someone with this placement will experience these emotions or this desire almost to the point of secrecy which often results in tensions in sexual relationships. Someone with the Moon in Scorpio needs to pursue the mysterious, the forbidden and the unknown. This Moon wants to feel deeply and therefore, does not turn its head away from a crisis – on the contrary, someone with this placement may even be a crisis junkie or at the least a parent, often the mother could have been just that.

Of course no-one really wants to be in a state of crisis, upheaval and disaster but this Moon almost grows through these challenges and in order to do so, perhaps even generates them subconsciously.

Scorpio Moons are secretive in their habits and often, emotionally veiled. They don’t give too much away at the once and even if you think you know them, there is always another layer to be discovered. It takes a long time for them to trust you but once they do, you better not betray them. However, this is one of the signs with a lot of natural intuition and in this case especially, healing abilities and someone you can count in when you happen to find yourself in a crisis. Scorpio Moon are great observers who understand the laws of nature – of death and rebirth and transformation.

The sign of Scorpio is ruled by the planet Mars, so this person wants to hunt, needs to hunt – always on the lookout for the truth, wanting to get to the bottom of things. Mars’ influence can make someone with this placement emotionally a little explosive, perhaps if you’ve invaded their privacy or where, in their eyes, disloyal to them.

This is a strong-willed sign that doesn’t change its emotions and feelings easily – once a Scorpio Moon has made up his mind about how he feels about certain things, he’ll stick to it. Therefore during Sade-Sati period, when Saturn crosses the signs before Scorpio (Libra), then moves over the sign of Scorpio itself and then into Sagittarius, the next sign, it can be a very challenging and painful time.

Suitable professions for this sign are forensic science, working in the police force, espionage or homeopathy.
