Scorpio, finally Mars has made his way into your sign and
with the Sun at the top of your chart at the same time, you sure get noticed.
People literally gravitate towards you this month and rarely are you, the usually so closed and
secretive Scorpio, so open and happy to be the centre of attention whether this
is for the opposite sex or at work. But it doesn’t matter, really, you are
noticed this month wherever you go. Almost feels like your birthday month,
right? But why not, you’ve waited for two years for your ruler, Mars, to
transit through your sign again. This gives you a lot of physical energy but
also this certain presence and appeal that other people can’t help but notice. If
you are single, this is great news, make sure you use this transit to get out
and ‘apply’ yourself.
Meeting new people and getting involved with new groups
shouldn’t be a problem these days anyway as Rahu / the North node travels
through the area of your chart to do with your friends, bonuses and profits but
also your hopes and dreams. Mars gives you the drive to go after what you want
this month, the solar eclipse in your in this area of your chart on 24th September ensures you get even
closer to fulfilling your dreams. With Uranus in opposition to the eclipse,
things could be shaken up quite suddenly and you’ll find yourself surrounded by
a completely new group of people. Unusual and perhaps eccentric as they may
seem, they may be your ticket to achieving your dreams, they may introduce you
to some valuable new contacts that will prove financially or romantically profitable
in the near future or introduce you to new ideologies and ways of thinking. In
any case, your associates and friends, long-terms plans and financial profits
are going through a bit of a shake-up this month. Not necessarily negative but
something may have to give for something else to come into your life instead. More
self-expression, ability to be yourself, release your creativity and become
passionate about a social cause is all stuff that features now. For some
Scorpios, the life of their elder siblings is being turned upside down for the
coming 18 months.
Generally speaking, as opposed to a lunar eclipse, which
often brings things to a dramatic peak or even end, the solar eclipse is a new
beginning – but of course, in the first instance, this also means an end of
some kind. It can be equally as intense as the lunar eclipse but we start
something new, possibly due to outside influences, and we make choices based on
what is coming out into the open. We just don’t quite see where we are headed
next. Whatever is beginning now starts to emerge and eventually come to its own
natural end over the next 2-and-a-bit years.
In Vedic astrology, this solar eclipse is in the nakshatra
of Uttaraphalguni, which is ruled by the Sun. It’s the nakshatra of the ‘social
worker’, the one who helps those who need it most, the one who heals and
counsels others. This is an intellectual placement, you are now brilliant with
details, very capable at explaining how you feel and what is takes to grow or make
your dreams become a reality. According to ancient astrology, prosperity by way
of marital union is also one of its leading attributes of this nakshatra.
In order to prepare for the
eclipse, the full Moon on 8th September is in your 4th house of home, your mother, the
past, your house and your inner feelings. So something here is finished off
now. Perhaps a relationship – Venus is close to the full Moon – or and more
likely, something to do with where you live. Neptune in this area of your chart
for so long has not made you feel very grounded and your felt confused about
where you belong and where to put down roots. This process is not over yet and you
may have to wait until the end of the year for details, news and ‘things’ to do
with house and home to be clearer but perhaps you are now making a decision and
consequently you begin to take the right steps to get closer to whatever change
you want to make. All of this can also be an internal process to let go of the
past, make peace and move on.
Just a few words on Venus in
Virgo – Venus is travelling through this sign and your area of friends, hopes
and dreams, profits and long-term projects until 19th October. Venus doesn’t do too
well in small-minded and detail-oriented Virgo. Venus’ charm and sense of
beauty gets a bit lost in the intellectual and airy environment that is ruled
by Mercury and in the sign of Virgo, she can be self-criticising which can also
mean lower than usual self-esteem. Although great for healers and counsellors, Venus
in Virgo is the perfectionist, over-stimulating a restless mind with nervous,
doubtful questioning of the validity of much of one’s appearance and ability to
always differentiate between the rights and wrongs in relationships and what
you should be able to expect from others. In your case, Venus rules
relationships and this month, introduces a little bit of a competitive
undertone and a small-mindedness that’s not always healthy for a relationship
if it’s not handled carefully. Venus can create a bit of an imbalance now in
relationships and with Uranus in opposition and Mars in your sign, things can
either get off the ground very quickly or you react too quickly without
thinking about the consequences…so there you go! Have a great month, Scorpio!
