Happy birthday Virgo!!

Virgo, I know that money, work, your career and in all likelihood your entire life direction has been a key focus for you over the past months. While this does not change in September, you’ll receive a lot of planetary support from your ruler, Mercury, as well as the Venus who gives your finances a boost. 

As we enter September, Mercury, the planet of communications and your ruler, moves into your solar 1st house. This is always the time of the year when you’re in your element more than at any other time. The way you express yourself, the way you come across and what you attract in your life seems to be the right thing at the right time. A lot of this has to do with career opportunities, which are expanding at the moment, so take your pick. You’re very communicative these days and any project, even if it’s just a hobby that requires precise and logical thought and clear ways of explaining the issue at hand, are supported and so are any manual tasks and activities. You’re opinions, wisdom, guidance and leadership skills are pretty sought after these days and so the drain on your finances, which you have been feeling lately, should ease slightly. 

On the same day, the new Moon in Leo takes place in your house of behind the scenes, foreign countries and intuition. This new Moon falls into the nakshatra of Purvaphalguni, the 11^th of 27 'wives of the Moon' and one of three that is ruled by the planet Venus. This is a creative nakshatra which broadly speaking brings skills in arts and a love of pleasure. The deity for this star is Bhaga, the God of Prosperity. For you, this can mean new connections to people from different cultural backgrounds, countries and even religions that you’ll be working or socialising with. It can also be a long-term project that you’re being handed where travelling or a longer stay abroad is on the cards.

Meanwhile, your money situation is looking a lot rosier – at least for the time being – as ALL your money houses are activated. So not only could you be in line for a pay rise, you could also be handed a bonus or money could come to you via your family such as through an inheritance. You’re also turning into the number one sales person this month, so you may be able to add a handful of extra customers to you database by the end of the month. A lot is happening around your finances this month, just make sure you don’t spend what you haven’t (yet) got. You’re very keen to achieve or at least get closer to achieving your goals this month, you’re competitive and ambitious in the work place and this extra portion of energy you have at your disposal now can catapult your earnings to new heights. You’re very involved in what is happening around you now and this also has an effect on your social life. It’s a lively month with a lot of networking and generally being out and about. 

You may need to be careful of coming across as a little too cortical combined with a ‘too much’ energy and drive when you deal with other people and in groups. In other words, this means that you can come across as somewhat domineering with a ‘my way or the highway’ – style of leadership and group involvement. As a typical Virgo, this is of course the last thing that you are but other people may experience your surge of drive and energy as a little overbearing at times. As always, one of the best ways to deal with this extra energy is to get involved in a sports club to find an outlet or, especially in your case, start putting pen to paper and write down your thoughts. 

And then it’s time for relationships which have fallen by the wayside off late. The full Moon on 19^th September is in the sign of Pisces and your 7^th house of committed relationships brings partnerships back into focus and on the agenda. Time to discuss joint finances and decide on the best place to settle down. If you are single, then love may be waiting at work - you’ll be out and about a lot this month, so who knows, the tall, dark, handsome stranger could be sitting next to you at that conference you’ll be going to.

Libra, your mind has been working overtime racing from one thought, idea and possibility to the next – some of the realisations had a profound effect on you and the way you view the world. Saturn crossing your Ascendant still wants you to get rid of old baggage and appreciate who valuable the lessons you’ve learnt over the past two or so years have been. What’s happening this month is that you can finally start implementing some of what will be part of your ‘new’ life moving forward and make it an integral part of your daily life. While this still won’t happen over night and daily routines as well as what’s going on in your mind might still hold you back, you have a lot of drive and energy this month. 

Mars is at the top of your chart, pouring a lot of energy into the area of your chart to do with life direction and career. This part of your life may have been somewhat dissatisfying and would have come under the spotlight and under review over the past few months too. Now, you can at least initiate some of the changes you had envisaged. In particular if your Ascendant is in Libra, it may be your partner or simply other people that can help you build your career and steer you in the right direction. As you’re busy building your career or working on changing your paths, your workload may be fierce and somewhat challenging for the time being, costing you a lot of energy as you’re climbing the ladder or getting your own business off the ground. But in any case, it should be a successful month for career and for the first two weeks, profits and bonuses are also well-starred. 

If you are single, then romance cold blossom at the work place this month. 

As the month goes on, your levels of ‘busy-ness’ are on the rise. Your vitality is high and you’ll be rushing around with a new-found enthusiasm for life that, hopefully, not even Saturn in your sign can dampen. You’re the centre of attention this month – or at least you feel that way – and as your intuition is being fine-tuned too, it’s time for some positive visualisation and affirmation. The full Moon on 19^th September is in the sign of Pisces and your house of health, fitness and daily routines. You’ve had your share of ups and downs in this area and this month, you’ll finally decide to change your eating habits or a treatment programme you’ve been undergoing for the past 18 months is showing some results. This could also be a culmination of a work project that’s cost you your last nerve and which has seen many starts and stops along the way.

September 2013 horoscope - Scorpio

You’re a powerhouse Scorpio and especially during the past few weeks, you’ve flexed your muscles and demonstrated your strength and leadership skills at work. Something was triggered in this area, perhaps you were given a new project, a new role or you thought about moving on and you’ve been putting the feelers out to see what’s out there and which company complements your own skills. This is still on going in September but now, you’re moving rapidly towards the next stage which involved discussions around salary, bonuses and profits. This is quite a visible time for you, so put your best foot forward.  

September is also a very social month for you with invitations, networking events, and occasions abound. However, while all of this is happening, part of you is also far, far away, dreaming of life by the sea. You may still have some professional obligations to deal with but for you, it seems to be time for a holiday – this can also simply be by occupying your mind with something new. Any subject that captures your imagination now draws you in and who knows, you might gain some new perspective and understanding about a long-held belief. Equally, you may enter a more formal course of higher education – like a summer school – or you are the one who’s the teacher and mentor. There are strong oversees connections in your chart at the moment, so teaching your own language in a foreign country could be something you pour your energies into now.

When it comes to love, there is a similar, non-tangible energy to your relationship(s). On the one hand, it can be a very romantic time, on the other, your partner may simply not be present much either physically or mentally or both. This is a passing aspect and the tables will turn come October but for the time being, don’t be alarmed by a sudden withdrawal or your partner paying less attention to you than they normally do. Not that other new Moons and full Moons are less important, but whenever the Moon phases end or begin in one of our ‘pillar’ houses, such as this one for you, then the implications can be a lot more far-reaching. For you, this is a new beginning in your career and how you want to plan your life moving forward. Again, new learning, publishing, teaching, mentoring or philosophy could all be aspects that could become part of your career path now – or at least something that you are known for six to nine months down the line.

Not that you’ve ever been bad at making decisions, you have a fairly clear head on your shoulders for the most part of this month, so executing and arranging your own as well as professional plans and projects should, hopefully, be a piece of cake. You may lack the drive at time – yes, getting something off the ground and putting in the hours can be hard work – but it’ll all be worth it in the end.

 

The full Moon on 19^th September is in the sign of Pisces and your house of fun and romance. A good time to let off some steam, get involved in a group project and spend some time with your children. Think about what began in March 2012 and you’ll get a feel of what is now finding it natural conclusion, culmination or solution.
