June 2014 horoscope - Aquarius

Aquarius, the big news this month is that Jupiter changes signs on 19th June and moves into Cancer. Jupiter feels extraordinarily comfortable in this sign and promises a year of abundance, optimism and expansion in the area in the chart it travels trough. After a year of you expanding and exploring the way you express yourself, become yourself, expand your circle of friends and acquaintances, it's now time to focus on your fitness levels, health matters and daily routines. It's also a time to focus on your eating habits and nutrition. What will be important, however, in your case is to keep a balance in these matters - Jupiter can blow things out of proportion, so overdoing it when it comes to fitness, for example, serves no purpose. Over the course of the coming year, some Aquarians may also find that they take in the problems of the world as well as your own with optimism and faith. However, the area of the chart Jupiter is about to transit through does not operate on faith alone and any imbalances in your life, in your relationships and at work will still need to be addressed head on. You're a little more likely to excuse other people's inappropriate behaviour now and try and protect them - Jupiter's transit through the 6th house can be a lesson in drawing boundaries. Mainly, however, I do think that these coming months are a time for a new health regime and how you nurture and protect your body. Some of the keywords associated for you with this transit are belief in new routines, overhaul of eating (and actually also spending!) habits and setting healthy boundaries to avoid conflicts, accusation and arguments. 

 

In the meantime, Mercury is going retrograde from 7th until 30th June. This happens in the area of your chart to do with romance, fun, speculation and children. Mercury is in its own sign so I don't think there will be too much confusion and misunderstanding, especially in your case but there may be a lover you have not heard from in a while getting back in touch or you revisit a 'creative project' that you started thinking about some time ago. The only area where there could be some stumbling blocks are around loans, mortgages, inheritance, wills and your partner's money - but only temporarily.

 

The full Moon this month takes place on 12th June in Scorpio in your house of career, profession, reputation and status. The full Moon wraps things up - in this case, what began in mid-December 2012. This is a 'friendly' full Moon and although some type of conflict or imbalance at work needs to be addressed or is finally being overcome, I don't anticipate this to be an earth-shattering time period that turns your career or world upside down. In fact, you're probably far more busy having fun and flirting your way through the month! This full Moon is in the nakshatra of Jyestha and is ruled by the planet Mercury. Under the influence of Jyestha, we seek to be the best in whatever we do and we may well achieve this but mainly through our own efforts. This puts you at an advantage in whatever area the full Moon falls and hence, you can reap the rewards for your efforts. However, with the sign of Scorpio involved here others' jealously can be part of the picture with this placement.

 

The new Moon in Gemini on 27th June in your house of romance and children and introduces a new cycle of opportunity in this area. June 2014 horoscope - Pisces

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the June 2014 horoscope for birthdays from 15^th March to 13^th April or Pisces Ascendants and Moons

Pisces, after what was a challenging first half of 2014 to say the least, you're one of the signs that welcomes the developments of the month of June the most. Jupiter, your ruler, finally changes signs on 19th June and moves into the sign of Cancer. Jupiter feels extraordinarily comfortable in this sign and promises a year of abundance, optimism and expansion in the area in the chart it travels trough. As Jupiter is your ruler, some of the keywords associated for you with this transit are self-expression, optimism, creativity, stage performance, writing, risk taking, speculative ventures and perhaps most importantly, romance and children. The sense of optimism and the faith in your own abilities and simply your own persona, is particularly true for those with their Moon sign in Pisces. Over the coming 12 mons, many Pisceans will reach out to new people, groups and associations, making new friends and contacts along the way - perhaps as a result of your newly discovered sense of self, faith and belief in the future. Needless to say that this also has beneficial financial ramifications. 

 

In the meantime, Mercury is going retrograde from 7th until 30th June. This happens in the area of your chart to do with house, home, feelings, your mother and your childhood. While house deals, negotiations, contracts and projects may hit a few obstacles - or, indeed, you may be returning to a house project - it could also have to do with others somehow blocking your way. This could be your partner or just other people. If, what you’re are dealing with at this time, is related to a partner, then you may have to go over old ground for a number of days before the new Moon at the end of the month in the same house kicks-starts things into action, meaning you'll come to an agreement on how to move forward either in the relationship or with your joint housing project. In any case, there is now plenty of room for miscommunication, so, if you can, don't get wound up again or try the same way of solving matters that in recent months have added to your frustrations around partnerships. 

 

If you are single, the latter half of the month is certainly a time to 'get the ball rolling' as they say. Although Mercury, the ruler of your partnership sector is retrograde, Jupiter in the house of romance slowly begins to spread his influence on  you and how you appear to others. Not that Pisceans are not outgoing, far from it, you quite literally open up to new people over the coming weeks but in the meantime, you're just having a think about what it is that you're looking for even if that means having a change of heart. You're certainly able to communicate how you feel this month, even if you have to repeat yourself a number of times to be heard and understood, you'll be able to express your inner emotions. Annual solar horoscope 2014 / 2015 - Taurus

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the annual horoscope for birthdays from 16^th May to 15^th June of Taurus Ascendants and Moons

Happy birthday Taurus! Shortly after your birthday month, the heavy focus on your finances begins to shift, which is always a welcome bit of news for a Taurus. You will have had ample opportunity to make a bit of money over the last year but this also brought with it many adjustments and overcoming certain challenges such as unpredictable cash flow, your or others’ shifting goal posts and a number of sudden turnarounds. Equally, partnerships, children and family planning were subject to certain unforeseen obstacles. Over the coming two months, as Mars goes direct and Jupiter and Rahu change signs, much in your life will shift. 

 

Jupiter moves into your 3^rd house of siblings, community, sales, meetings, deals, ideas, innovation and your own efforts. If you are self-employed, you can grow your team, extend your channels of communication and implement a hot new marketing strategy; you can expand your contribution to the organisation you work for or the community you live in. You are more optimistic than you have been in a long time, so this is great for being the one who motivates others. As a typical Taurus, you have a lot of patience and with Jupiter helping you along, you turn into a great teacher, trainer and public speaker. But over the next year, you will also learn something new, even if it’s just how to communicate more effectively. This will especially benefit your relationships with your partner, potential romantic partners as well as business associates. And of course the status quo is not transformed very easily, hence the long transit. Yes, too often we are inclined to give up on something but what this transit does is make you realise that you either work on the relationship if you feel it’s worth saving or you move on and for the better. Yes, it will be painful and yes, there will be challenges but the most rewarding experiences in life are the ones that come after having put in the hard work and the patience necessary for something solid to grow. Here’s your chance Taurus – if you have been looking for someone special, then the next two to three years can turn out to be crucial in that respect. Sun in the signs - Taurus

Easy does it

 

Someone with the Sun in Taurus is generally patient, calm and balanced and someone who appreciates solid – although somewhat inflexible - structures and routines. For the Sun in Taurus, it’s important that old traditions and customs are preserved and passed on to the next generation. This makes the Taurus Sun less inclined to get too excited about anything innovative and new but instead, someone with this placement is considered reliable and trustworthy. This is the Taurus approach to life in general as well as building a solid capital base and stable relationships. 

 

But here is the controversy – although a Taurus likes things to be predictable, Taurean relationships can be quite turbulent. Surprisingly, many Taurean natives have very intense, deep and often life changing relationships, in particular those with their Ascendant in this sign. Ruled by the planet Venus, this is someone who loves luxuries, good food – this person usually has a sweet tooth - and someone to cuddle up to. The Taurus Sun is a great host as well as a great guest and a very pleasant companion. This is someone who places quality over quantity (mostly) and someone with strong ‘financial intelligence’. This is often someone who is born into a wealthy family or with a keen interest to increase their wealth.

 

Traditional astrology, however, considers Venus’ influence on the Sun as somewhat disadvantageous. Venus loves the good things in life, Venus can be flexible when she wants to be and adapt to people and situations to get what she wants and in combination with the Sun, it’s self-directed – in this case particularly around accumulating good and money. Nothing wrong with that but this can make some Taurean Suns, depending on the placement of Venus, seem a little self-centred and other may think they are only there for their own benefit. If, however, Venus is in a good position, then this is someone who really enjoys life to the fullest – someone other people can’t stay away from. 

Donald Trump, the son of a wealthy property developer, became one of America’s most famous property magnets himself and is the founder of Trump Entertainment, operating gambling casinos. 

His Sun in Taurus is in the gainful eleventh house together with Rahu / the North node.  The Sun in Taurus in this area of his chart make him keen on increasing his income anyway but in conjunction with the North node,  his eagerness to gain and turn a profit goes through the roof. He’s also likely to be a great entertainer with a whole range of illustrious friends and acquaintances. 

Sun in the signs - Aries

The First, the Champion, a Pioneer

With the Sun in Aries, this is an assertive and freedom-loving individual with a strong need for independence. As the sign associated with the first house in the zodiac which corresponds to one's self and physical body, this person often seeks to be the first in what they do, a true pioneer, initiating, original and innovative. They are the ones putting forward radical new ideas, suggestions and new social movements – as long as they are the ones initiating it, all is well, just don’t ask them to worry about the details or seeing the project through right to the end. And never, ever ask an Aries to evaluate something, he’s already moved on to the next project!

Although also somewhat domineering, there is a high vitality about them and they like it when things progress fairly swiftly. This is also an attitude they bring to relationships as well as career - they like initiating and starting things and they like it when relationships as well as work projects move forward at a fairly rapid and steady pace. One of their core personality traits is one of true confidence and internal certainty in the choices made.

Aries are a very decisive people and less inclined toward forming complex relationships. They are too straight forward for those.  Things have to be simple, with a sense of adventure and fun.

Aries loves competition and there is a side of them that simply has to win. This means that, at times, a person with the Sun in Aries can display a 'my way or the highway' kind of an attitude. If the planets Mars, the ruler of the sign of Aries, is well-placed in the chart, this can be someone who is capable of extraordinary physical achievements.

Sigmund Freud, known as the founding father of psychoanalysis, had his Sun in Aries. His discoveries around psychoanalysis were ground-breaking and ahead of its time. Not only is the Sun in Aries, it is hemmed in between Uranus and Pluto, quite literally making him stand out from the crowd.

Pluto certainly gave him the depth and stamina needed for a life dedicated to research while Uranus gave him the foresight, the ability to think outside the box as well as the courage not to be constraint by social norms, ways of thinking and expectations of his time.

Sade Sati - Saturn transit over the natal Moon

I’ve come across a number of people recently with the Moon in Virgo, Libra or Scorpio who are undergoing some more or less serious changes in life. With Saturn transiting through the sign of Libra (according to the sidereal calendar) until November this year, these people are currently going through the so-called ‘Sade Sati’ period which basically translates into ‘seven and a-half’. 7 ½ is the duration of the Saturn transit through three signs around the natal Moon sign. So, Sade Sati starts when Saturn enters the zodiac sign immediately before the Moon sign and ends when it exits the sign after the Moon sign. During this time, emotional maturity takes place which is why it is often one of the most painful periods in life (depending on the age and self-awareness of a person). Sade Sati is said to slows one's progress by generating a kind of inner resistance. 

Phase one: 

Sade Sati begins when transiting Saturn enters the sign previous to the natal Moon and remains here for about  two and a half years. Saturn here challenges our own and known sense of identity and we may feel increasingly threatened and unsure of ourselves from an apparent lack of protection and support in and from the world. 

Phase two:

This is the most acute phase as Saturn moves across your Moon sign. From December 2011 through to November 2014, Saturn is transiting through the sidereal sign of Libra. This means that for those with their sidereal Moon in Libra, emotional maturity comes following a period of grief, farewell and separation from the old, from what previously gave us sense of security, from known environments and certain foundations of life. This period is often accompanied by a more pessimistic and sober attitude but with a grown-up sense of duty and responsibility.

Phase three:  

During this period, transiting Saturn is in the next sign after the natal Moon. So, for Libra Moons, this will be the case from November 2014. During these two and a half years, although things are still tough, it’s getting a little easier the ‘new’ sense of identity is beginning to emerge and we accept or discover or make use of new ’sources’ of protection, nourishment and security. Often, a house move is also indicated during the Sade Sati period.
