September 2013 horoscope - Sagittarius

Sag, a lot of focus has recently gone into your relationships, both personal and professional. You may have met someone new or you’ve decided that all the opportunities and abundance that you’ve hopefully experienced in this area arrived on your door step prematurely after all and the freedom-long sign that you are, you’ve decided to follow the wind and move on. Whatever it was, partnerships of any kind including joint resources and had to be dealt with. If a separation was part of the picture, then dealing with the aftermath and coming to a financial agreement has not been easy. This gets a little easier in September and while partnerships are still higher on the agenda than they have been for a long time, your focus is firmly on your finances, gains and profits this month. Some of your dealings still include your partner and your joint future, most of your energy, however, seems to be going into sorting out inheritances, wills, estates and matters of tax and insurance. It’s other people’s money your dealing with and perhaps managing. 

For some, if you are doing this on behalf of family members, say for example your parents then, this can be a healing process and if none of this rings any bells, then some of you may put pen to paper to write down your innermost feelings and emotions – a different kind of healing process. What might also happen to you throughout this month and as you let go of certain things, you develop a new understanding of life and death and resurrection. As something is leaving your life, something else will replace it – it’s that process you may be confronted with on some levels this month but at the same time, you might also see how this was necessary and for your own good. Other important factors or keywords that come into play are a deeper psychological understanding of who you are, with or without the help of someone else. 

Now, this is only part of the picture as a lot is happening in September. The planets are spread out across the chart and touch a number of areas in our lives. Nevertheless, two of your money houses as well as the area in your chart to do with career are activated. Although you may not be in the frame of mind to focus on work, you’d rather enjoy the fruits of your hard labour a little longer and discuss world politics, religion or philosophies with your mates at your local pub, the planets have other ideas. For a long time, you’ve been working hard on that bonus or pay rise – bit by bit and step by step. There may have been some conflict on the way, perhaps still is but this is mainly due to jealousies and other people’s pettiness – some of it perhaps not unfounded and you currently also have a tendency to make a profit at all costs, even if you have to stretch the truth somewhat, be careful of this tendency. 

So, all being well, you should be busy following a new career path, or at the very least, you will have discussions with your boss around a new project or a new position that either literally takes you out into the world or you’re responsibilities are so vast that you’ll be dealing with a large group of people. It could also be that you’re being asked to develop your knowledge in some area that ultimately benefits your career and the time of the new Moon on 5^th September in Leo is a good period to start a new course or education programme.  

This new Moon falls into the nakshatra of Purvaphalguni, the 11^th of 27 'wives of the Moon' and one of three that is ruled by the planet Venus. This is a creative nakshatra which broadly speaking brings skills in arts and a love of pleasure. The deity for this star is Bhaga, the God of Prosperity. For you, any new knowledge that you gain now, has an immediate effect on your bank balance. Equally, this can also mean that you mingle with new people from various cultures and backgrounds – a different kind of prosperity. 

The full Moon on 19^th September is in the sign of Pisces and in your 4^th house of home, the past, your mother and your emotions. It’s your annual stock-taking of how you feel about yourself and this includes the place you live. Some say the way we keep our house says a lot of the state of our inner life. Perhaps you need a spring clean or, with Uranus nervously hovering around in this area of your life, ensuring permanency is difficult to achieve, it might be time to consciously put down some roots - and commit.
