Sagittarius, you begin your new solar year with a
Grand Cross across the areas of your chart to do with relationships, your life
direction, your roots, what gives you security, your family and your home. So
basically, the most basic areas of your life are affected by this transit
meaning that over the next two years a lot of what you’ve know and had in your
life is about to change and transform. This is nothing new to you; you’ve begun
to undergo some very deep transformation a number of years ago already and over
the next year in particular, you are keen to start integrating the changes that
you’ve seen in yourself and in your environment.
For now and until mid-2014, your focus is firmly on
building alliances so to speak – whether personal or business-related, you want
to partner up. This has not always been as easy as many astrologers may put it
even though you have had Jupiter, your ruler and the planet of expansion in your
7th house
of committed relationships. Jupiter in this area in your chart of course gives
you the opportunities and the desire to form a partnership but it can also make
you want to go from A to B to C in a matter of moments. What are having to
learn through this transit is awareness of your needs and those of your partner
– what is making it that little bit more difficult is Pluto, the planet of
death and re-birth in transit through your own sign. Basically, this means that
when you enter a new relationship or business partnership, questions of trust,
power, control and perhaps even manipulation could have come to the fore.
However, any relationships you enter now can be life transforming and will
ultimately also help your progress and path in life. The best times or the most
active times for relationships are June and July 2014 and then again at the end
of the year in December 2014.
Generally, for all of
us, the summer of 2014 will be quite an ‘active’ one with Jupiter and the
Moon’s nodes changing signs. After a year in the sign of Gemini and in your
house of partnerships, Jupiter is moving on into the sign of Cancer and into
your house of joint finances. Jupiter feels very comfortable in Cancer and
although the 8th house is a bit of a tricky one for any planet, this
is still a nice transit to have in the sense that you can now build and deepen
your partnership. You are now looking at joint resources and finances, intimacy
and a deeper bond with the other person. This is yet another period of ongoing
change and transformation – let’s call it progress - for you. During the next
12 months from then on, you may also be involved in managing your family money
such as inheritance, wills, estates and other assets.
Then, after 18 months in the signs of Aries and Libra – the relationship
signs – the Moon’s nodes Rahu and
Ketu change signs in mid-July. This means that some of the pressure and urgency you felt around
your finances, profits and bonuses eases a little. Although it’s not until
Saturn changes signs in November that you’ve truly established your new way of
dealing with groups of people and ensuring your earnings are stable and
future-proof, dealing with these matters will be more straight forward. Perhaps
it is the events over the past two years that are now pushing you to climb the
career ladder and associate with those in power that can help you achieve. You’re
becoming hugely ambitious now to realise your goals in life – many of them will
still be of a financial nature. You’re more ‘visible’ this year than in other
years and that’s exactly how you like it now. You’re outgoing as a Sagittarius
anyway but playing centre-stage roles this year to become and remain noticed by
those that matter will truly become second nature to you. The solar eclipse in
September 2014 and the lunar eclipse in October will be the crucial times of
next year for you for professional progress and in all likelihood choosing
which path to take next.
Towards the end of the year, in early November 2014, Saturn, the taskmaster, then changes signs and houses.
After 2.5 years of teaching you a thing or two about friendships, your hopes, your
dreams and your finances, he moves into an area in your chart that has to do
with contemplation,
mediation and places far away from home. For the next 2.5 years, you’ll be
going through the end of a lifecycle. Saturn goes around the zodiac in
approximately 29 years and over these next years, he is preparing you for an
important transit that introduces you to the next stage in your life. However,
for now, you’ll be getting rid of outdated attachments and irrational fears.
This is a more introspective at this
time in your life where you think about your thought patterns and your
behaviours. Saturn also rules your money house, so part of your income could be
somehow connected to abroad, people in foreign places, friends or other
business contacts.
Overall, an important and exciting year for you, Sagittarius, hardly
will you see your life be turned upside down quite as much as in 2014. Have a great year!
