I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the January 2014 horoscope for
birthdays from 15th March to 13th April or Pisces Ascendants and Moons
Pisces,
although two planets are retrograde this month, Jupiter and Venus, there are
nevertheless a number of bursts of activity taking place in everyone’s chart
with two new Moons – one on 1st, the
other one on 31st January 2014. These new Moons ring
in new beginnings in two different areas while the full Moon brings an 18-month
cycle to an end.
Now, the
first one of the new Moons introduces the New Year on 1st January
and takes place in the area of your chart to do with career, life direction,
your status and reputation. It’s a time of heightened sensitivity to your
standing in society, a good time to develop new business plans and goals for
2014. As all four of the major angles in your chart are involved in the ongoing
Grand Cross, including the area in your chart to do with your life direction
and career, this new Moon, taking place in just this area in your chart, can
have far reaching consequences. Some of you may start a new job that opens up a
whole new path for you; perhaps you receive recognition for your creative and
problem solving skills or this will be part of your main job moving forward.
Pluto, the planet of transformation, is part of this new Moon as is Mercury,
the planet of communication. In addition, the new Moon is energised by a square
from Mars and Uranus as well as an opposition from expansive Jupiter. Again,
this can signify a powerful and perhaps sudden impact and push into a new
direction that has been a long time coming. Working partnerships also form part
of the picture as could existing personal ones that need a little boost and a
little bit of TLC.
This new
Moon is in the nakshatra of Purva Ashadha, The Invincible Star. It is ruled by
Venus and is quite a high-achieving nakshatra. It signifies the ability to
convince others, generate wealth and think quickly on one’s feet. The only
downside is that we may adopt a know-it-all, preaching attitude, especially
with Pluto and Mercury in Sagittarius, the sign of the preacher. For you,
again, this can relate to how you come across at work in particular and how you
deal with relationship issues and energies that want to be discussed and
brought to the surface.
So,
Venus is retrograde for the whole of January 2014 and Jupiter, your ruler,
until mid-March. During retrograde periods, the planets are said to become
stronger and the areas touched by the two planets are coming into even more
focus. The reason for this is that during a retrograde period, we have to
repeat things, gain a new perspective, re-do, adjust and modify. We have to go
through the same exercise a couple of times before we can move on but when the
results then materialise, expect them to be solid – by the time the planets
move forward again and cross the degree on which they went retrograde, you will
have had enough time to make the right choice and think about the right
decision. Hence, you’ll be able to choose the right path to move forward….In
any case, Pisces, for you, a lot of the Venus retrograde has to do with group
activities, siblings, bonuses, profits, making your dreams come true (perhaps
you may have to make some adjustments) as well as other people’s money. For
those trying to sell or buy a property obtaining a loan may just take that
little bit longer now as the year begins.
The full Moon on 16th
January is in Cancer in your solar 5th house. Whatever began in July
2012 is coming to a close. For you, this can be a romantic entanglement that
moves on to the next level or gets dissolved, a creative or literary project
and to an extent, matters that involve your physical wellbeing. This full Moon
is also a good time to be around friends, make new ones and enjoy the company
of old ones. It’s a good time to initiate long-term projects at work or if
you’re going it alone now - you’re one of the more rebellious and autonomous
signs these days – think about your longer term strategy and how you’re going
to entice your clientele. The second new Moon on 31st January 2014
is then the perfect time to start implementing long-standing plans for your own
business, set up your interest group or launch your new marketing plan. By that
point, Venus is about to go forward again in this area of your chart so you’ll
be able to benefit financially and in terms of making a few new business
contacts here and there. Have a great start to the New Year, Pisces!
