Annual solar horoscope 2015 / 2016 - Aquarius

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the February 2015 horoscope for birthdays from 13th February to 14th March or Aquarius Ascendants and Moons

Aquarius, this is shaping up be an important year for you, career-wise and romantically. You start your solar year with Saturn, your ruler in the area of your chart to do with career, reputation, social status and life direction. Traditionally, Saturn feel comfortable here but in the sign of Scorpio (sidereal!), you’ll have to face some home truths, make some very profound changes and possible reorganise your life from the bottom up and top down. Nevertheless, this is a socially visible, dignified, lawful, orderly and conventional area of your chart and for the next twelve months – and longer - you strongly identify with leadership roles and being your own boss. Towards the end of this transit and after the upcoming retrograde period, you’ll certainly command respect in your career and with a clearer idea of where you want to go next professionally. You’ll ask yourself ‘What is my true calling’, ‘What am I here to do’? Once you’ve figured that out, you’ll have no problem leading the masses.

Some you may also want to look at relocating for work - and not just a few miles down the road! We’re talking international setting and working with people from all over the world, perhaps for a charity organisation, in fundraising or anything connected to spirituality, science, inventions & innovations and new discoveries – perhaps. In any case, the experiences and insights you make on your travels will help you stand out from the crowd, professionally and potentially will help you get a better (or renewed, I should say) idea of what’s next for you. For some Aquarians, this process is one that begins with you dissecting and bulldozing down what was and what has been before – and only to start rebuilding from scratch. Sounds dramatic but it may just involve a career change that you knew has been coming for a long time. Aquarians are fixed by nature and don’t like change that’s imposed on them by others but now, it seems you almost don’t have that much choice in the matter as authority figures at work or circumstances generally almost force the change upon you.

Saturn then goes retrograde from 15th March until 1st August 2015. This is a time to file on your ‘strategy’, your plan and generally how your life should be ‘structured’. This is a more internally focused period and allows you to define your boundaries and rethink or reconfirm commitments and responsibilities.

But it’s certainly not all about career and work this year. In mid-July Jupiter enters your relationship zone and Rahu / the North node follows a few months later at the beginning of 2016. Rahu is where our biggest desires lie and Jupiter where we see the most growth and possibility. So go figure…! It’s a time of plenty when it comes to relationships and some may suddenly enter a partnership, others will leave one – and pretty soon afterwards start a new one. Whatever partnership is coming your way, it seems to be materially beneficial and it’s one that opens up your world to a whole new circle of friends. The same goes for a business partnership…

Then, the eclipses are of course also having an impact on your chart. You’ve already seen the first round of those in October 2014 across the area in our chart to do with finances, family, values, possessions and your income – all connected to relationships, agreements (and disagreements!), contracts and deals. Again, this area is under the spotlight with the solar eclipses on 20th March and 13th September 2015 and again with the lunar eclipses on 4th April and 28th September 2015. By the time the September eclipses come around, you’ll have Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion in your opposite sign, meaning you can expect some (financial) support either from family or a new partner. Sounds perfect, right? Have a great year, Aquarius!

It's a Starman conjunction

I thought about the post from yesterday again and the Mars, Uranus and South node conjunction in Pisces - David Bowie's 'Starman' came to mind. Love that song! How appropriate for what's happening in the sky at the moment.

'Starman'

Didn't know what time it was and the lights were low
I leaned back on my radio
Some cat was layin' down some rock 'n' roll 'lotta soul,
he said

Then the loud sound did seem to fade
Came back like a slow voice on a wave of phase
That weren't no D.J. that was hazy cosmic jive

There's a starman waiting in the sky

He'd like to come and meet us

But he thinks he'd blow our minds
There's a starman waiting in the sky
He's told us not to blow it
Cause he knows it's all worthwhile
He told me:
Let the children lose it
Let the children use it
Let all the children boogie

I had to phone someone so I picked on you

Hey, that's far out so you heard him too!

Switch on the TV
we may pick him up on channel two
Look out your window I can see his light

If we can sparkle he may land tonight
Don't tell your poppa or he'll get us locked up in fright

14.2.15

Mars in Pisces until 24th March

Mars entered Pisces today until 24th March. This a broad-minded and inclusive energy and a more charitable placement than Mars in Aquarius, which somewhat restricted foreword movement. Although a lot of that energy  directed towards achieving our goals, Mars in Pisces is a more forgiving energy. The next few weeks are good for spiritual counselling and welfare, especially in conjunction with Ketu / the south node in a couple of weeks. The downside is that with both Ketu and Uranus included, this make for an explosive period in the name of religion, beliefs and spirituality. Ultimately, it's a time of awakening of all those things - making spiritual practices (even) more mainstream and accessible.

February 2015 horoscope - Aries

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the February 2014 horoscope for birthdays from 14th April to 15th May or Aries Ascendants or Moons

Aries, the majority of the planets are at the top of your chart now meaning, you’re very visible, in the public eye, out there meeting and greeting and making new friends – the creative and scientific and eccentric types – while you are filing on your career plans. The month begins with the full Moon in Cancer on 3rd February which falls into the area of your chart to do with house and home on the one hand and work on the other. A lot is expanding, growing and changing at home and balancing work demands has been tricky and even more so as Mercury is still going retrograde, causing some misunderstandings and misinterpretations in what people say and commit to. It’s a push and pull time period where unanswered questions and come to the surface. Together with Jupiter in the same area in your chart, it’s a time when matters of security and the foundations of your life and your home environment take on even greater importance. Think about whatever happened in August 2013 at home, to do with your sense of security, the past or your mother – this is now coming to a close or it’s moving on to the next level.

This full Moon is in the nakshatra of Aslesha, ruled by Mercury. During this time, you are thinking about your feelings and it is the nakshatra of the ‘Entwiner’. You may get tangled up and entwined in your own and other people’s emotional dramas but you may also just ‘get involved’ with other people. Being ‘entwined’ is fine in certain circumstances, for example, when the child needs a close emotional bond but when the child becomes an adult, the mother needs to start letting go an ‘untangle’. So during this time, you may be reluctant to let go as your emotions take precedence over much of the other things in your life and the area ruled by the Moon – your home and house, your inner life, your mother and the relationship to her, your past and the very foundation of your life - and especially with Jupiter nearby, becomes of great importance.

Then, both Venus and Mars travel hand in hand through Aquarius and then later on through Pisces from mid-month, first joining up with Neptune and later on with Uranus, both planets that ‘undo’ but in different ways and through different means. One dissolves without anyone noticing, the other one suddenly explodes. So, this is a time when some of you have real creative and futuristic inspirations and ideas and whereas before, you had a slight inkling, a vague idea and nascent emotions about something, now it hits you right in the face, it’s put at your feet, it knocks at your door – quite suddenly and without warning. To make it more precise, the keywords, issues or opportunities, you’ll be faced with pretty much all month, but in particular in the later part, are: life direction and finances, growing your network, your hopes and dreams, your friends and faraway places, dreams and intuition.

The new Moon 18th February in Aquarius is then a time of new beginning around friends and your (creative) impact within a group setting, establishing a vision for your future and perhaps in one or two cases, letting go of some long-held friendships or swapping old ones for new ones which better match your interests around spirituality, creativity, future-thinking and debate. You give it your all here before the planets one after the other move on into your house of behind the scenes activities, preparation and faraway places – take a breather Aries, it’s been a busy time, you deserve a little break, just depends whether Uranus in the same part of your chart and the upcoming eclipse in March play ball. Have a great month, Aries!

February 2015 horoscope - Taurus

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the February 2015 horoscope for birthdays from 16th May to 15th June of Taurus Ascendants and Moons

Taurus, Saturn in your opposite sign has been your companion or opponent, rather, since November and even though he’s a lonely figure in your relationship zone these days, his presence is omnipresent and all-consuming, amplified through Venus, your ruler and Mars travelling hand in hand through Aquarius this month, the sign ruled by Saturn. So, translated and in plain English, this means that your relationships and what you want to get from life in general and your vocation is under a certain amount of pressure at the moment. Your boss could be opposing your wishes and your partner may be less understanding of your needs. If you are single, then this is a time period when the lack of a relationship is felt more than in the past months. However, this is an excellent situation to be in! It forces you to look at what you want and how you can ensure you take the right steps to get there.

The Moon in Cancer on 3rd February falls into the area of your chart to do with short-distance travel, hobbies, new training, siblings and neighbours and it’s a very busy time for you. For those who are single, this may be a time to launch project ‘Find-Mr/Mrs-Right’ through the various communication channels out there, while for others, it’s a time for completion, for example of a driving or a cooking course, a work project or you unveil your new website to the public….whatever happened in August 2013 is moving to the next level. For some Taureans who are married, this is a time when your marriage and the foundations of your union need to be or will be looked at and debated.

So during this time, you may be reluctant to let go as your emotions take precedence over much of the other things in your life and the area ruled by the Moon – pretty much all your day to day interests, hobbies, team meetings, siblings and communication – and with Jupiter nearby, these become of great importance.

Then, both Venus and Mars travel hand in hand through Aquarius and then later on through Pisces from mid-month. This is a time when some of you have real creative and futuristic inspirations and ideas and it means that whereas before, you had a slight inkling, a vague idea and nascent emotions about something, now it hits you right in the face, it’s put at your feet, it knocks at your door – quite suddenly and without warning. To make it more precise, the keywords, issues or opportunities, you’ll be faced with pretty much all month but in particular from mid-month are: your hopes and dreams, work and career, bonuses and profits, friends and your wider network.

The new Moon 18th February in Aquarius feels like this time period is touched by magic, sudden fireworks and intuitive decision-making. For you, it’s all about work and career and where you want to head towards in life – which will be in some conflict with what is going on in your relationships and vice versa. It’s a new start for sure, but you may have to work around other people’s opposing views and expectations. Have a great month, Taurus!

February 2015 horoscope - Gemini

I follow the Vedic calendar; this is the February 2015 horoscope for birthdays from 16th June to 15th July or Gemini Ascendants and Moons

Gemini, Pluto in your opposite sign has been transforming your relationships for quite some time and with Uranus at the top of your chart, your life direction and for some career is in flux too. Now, this is nothing new, it’s been going on for a few years and you are on the final stretch. This month, however, with Mercury, your ruler, in an area that makes you more withdrawn and introspective, even shy to outsiders, you have time to contemplate what all the changes in your life and the increased responsibility in certain areas mean for you. In particular as Mercury is still going backwards until 11th, you’ll have plenty of time to let the past months or more sink in.

That’s one part of what is happening, as the month begins with the full Moon in Cancer on 3rd February. This falls into the area of your chart to do with your income and family, putting whatever happened in August 2013 to an end or allowing it to move to the next level. Together with Jupiter in the same area in your chart, it could be ‘big’. It may be time for a pay rise or savings plan, depending on your situation but it could also just be a lot of paperwork to do with your (shared) resources – ha! Who said applying for a mortgage, sorting out your tax return or managing family assets is fun. Well, hopefully, it is for you as for a good deal of the month, you’ll have to focus your time and energy on these things.

So during this time, you may be reluctant to let go as your emotions take precedence over much of the other things in your life and the area ruled by the Moon – your money, values, possessions & family – and with Jupiter nearby, becomes of great importance.

Then, both Venus and Mars travel hand in hand through Aquarius and then later on through Pisces from mid-month. While in Aquarius, the pair joins up with Neptune, putting you into an optimistic, creative and forward-looking mood. Many Gemini’s are either planning their summer holidays or looking at other ways to learn something about the world – always curious and easily bored, Gemini’s are keen to understand the mysteries of life, learn about spirituality and follow intuitive sparks of insight.

This kind of means that whereas before, you had a slight inkling, a vague idea and nascent emotions about something, now it hits you right in the face, it’s put at your feet, it knocks at your door – quite suddenly and without warning. To make it more precise, the keywords, issues or opportunities, you’ll be faced with pretty much all month are: shared resources and income, intimacy and future life direction, new experiences and insights. For some, Geminis, their marriage needs some TLC. The new Moon 18th February in Aquarius is then a fresh start, a new cycle in terms of new learning, travelling and for some, your marriage but again, connected to you finances.

Geminis finish the month with a stellium of planets at the top of your chart, shaking up matters of career and life direction on the one hand, your home life on the other. It’s discussions, thoughts and outside influences that are making their presence felt now as a hint of what’s to come in March around eclipse time. Have a great month, Gemini!

February 2015 horoscope - Cancer

I follow the Vedic calendar; this is the February 2015 horoscope for birthdays from 16th July to 15th August or Cancer Ascendants and Moons

Cancer, the month begins with the full Moon in your own sign on 3rd February and by now, you are probably sick and tired of the misunderstanding, misinterpretations and false alarms from others including your partner. There has been a lot you wanted to get off your chest but either you or your partner (or generally other people you’ve been dealing with) got the wrong end of the stick. Now, during the time of the full Moon, the spotlight is on you, not only because the full Moon is in your sign but also because it’s your ruler. Together with Jupiter in the same sign at the moment, it’d your time to have your say, to shed light on something, to launch something or to ‘receive’ something. Whether that’s attention, affection, care and security, this is the time to ask for these things to materialise.

In any case, seldom has the focus been so partnerships and whether you’re coupled or single, some of the issues, themes and challenges you’ll have to deal with are around your expanding expectations and possibly also opportunities around relationships, your shared values or what you value in a partnership. Others may be making travel plans with a partner that’s proving more challenging than expected while some Cancerians may be going through the small print of agreements and contracts. So, whatever happened in August 2013 around partnerships is moving to the next level – romantically and professionally, it’ll just take a good deal of the month to sort out the miscommunication and info that has gone astray before you’re back on the right track. But that’s what retrograde periods are for, to pick up the stuff that’s been brewing underneath the surface or the things that you put to the back of your mind, knowing they needed to be addressed or rectified but never put your mind to it. So, a blessing in disguise.

So during this time, you may be reluctant to let go as your emotions take precedence over much of the other things in your life and the area ruled by the Moon, especially with Jupiter nearby, becomes of great importance. So, some Cancerians may be having a hard time letting go of some of the things in relationships that no longer serve you or addressing those in the first place.

Then, both Venus and Mars travel hand in hand through Aquarius and then later on through Pisces from mid-month. While in Aquarius, the pair joins up with Neptune, turning your naturally intuitive nature up a notch more. But not only that, for many Cancerians, this is a time of personal transformation and – probably most importantly – impending changes, sudden and for some unforeseen – around your marriage. It’s a time when your shared values, independence versus dependence as well as your joint financial status are on the agenda. This kind of means that whereas before, you had a slight inkling, a vague idea and nascent emotions about something, now it hits you right in the face, it’s put at your feet, it knocks at your door – quite suddenly and without warning. Especially around the new Moon on 18th February in Aquarius, which promises a new start but connected to that is some letting go and the need to gain a clearer understanding of where you’re headed next with your partnership and marriage. Not only does this give you a new perspective, it also allows you to look at things from a different perspective, from outside the box and less from a small-minded point of view you had to deal with over the past weeks.

This period gives some indications of what’s to come at eclipse time in March – some Cancerians who are not so much dealing with marriage and partnerships but who are keen on gaining new experiences in the form or learning, training, education and travelling will experience this as a fascinating and enlightening time period. Have a great month, Cancer!

February 2015 horoscope - Leo

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the February 2015 horoscope for birthdays from 16th August to 15th September or Leo Ascendants and Moons

Leo, it’s a busy month where work continues to place its demands on your time and energy and this, coupled with other people’s stubborn behaviour and demanding partners takes its toll. By the time of the full Moon in Cancer on 3rd February which falls into the area of your chart to do with letting go, faraway countries, withdrawal, meditation and spirituality, you’re ready for a holiday. For you, this is one of the best times of the year to hop on a place and enjoy some time off, if only it weren’t that relationship matters and your day to day responsibilities took up so much of your time. For only a couple of weeks more, you’ll have to deal with others needing your support and attention – possibly more than usual.

Around the beginning of the month, think about whatever happened in August 2013 – this is moving to the next stage of ‘letting go’ and being released. It may have been a long process but you may now realise something that kick-started somewhere in your subconscious at the time.

So during this time, you may be reluctant to let go as your emotions take precedence over much of the other things in your life and the area ruled by the Moon, especially with Jupiter nearby, becomes of great importance – in your case, it has to do with anything that needs to be let go of, needs to be prepared and rehearsed and mediated upon.

Then, both Venus and Mars travel hand in hand through Aquarius and then later on through Pisces from mid-month. While in Aquarius, the pair joins up with Neptune, putting you into very romantic, really creative and inspired mood. And really, this kind of means that whereas before, you had a slight inkling, a vague idea and nascent emotions about something, now it hits you right in the face, it’s put at your feet, it knocks at your door – quite suddenly and without warning. For you, all of this has to do with relationships. Whether you are single or coupled up, you want to ‘merge’ with someone else, become one and be part of a couple. Included in that are contracts and agreements, laying the foundations of a relationship – a key theme anyway at the moment – and establishing or re-establishing the bond with your partner. For some, this can be full on as the partner may need your support and help in more ways than one. The challenge for you here also is to get the partner to listen and actually understand where you are coming from – he or she may seem a little distant but the new Moon on 18th February in Aquarius is the start of a new cycle in relationships. It is one where illusions and blinkers are coming off for you to see what’s really happening and for you to understand where your limits lie in terms of providing financial and emotional support to another. If you are single, this is a time when you could meet someone who does the same for, take off your rose-tinted glasses and look at the other person for who they are – the basis of a much more realistic union than you may have encountered over the past years.

The month then ends with you focusing on your financial situation and shared resources, loan applications, mortgages or family money – it’s a mixtures of you gain some, you lose some and certainly an indication of what to come in March and around eclipse time. It’s a call to get your finances straightened out – with or without a partner. Have a great month, Leo!

February 2015 horoscope - Virgo

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the February 2015 horoscope for birthdays from 16th September to 15th October or Virgo Ascendants and Moons

Virgo, the month begins with the full Moon in Cancer on 3rd February which falls into the area of your chart to do with friends, acquaintances, networking & socialising, bonuses and profits, older siblings, fundraising, group activities and involvements and long-term projects as well as your hope and your dreams. Together with Jupiter in the same area in your chart, it could be time to bring something to light and ‘launch’ something – a project (or complete it), make an announcement to friends and family, get a promotion or receive a bonus. A lot of what’s happening at this time is also connected to relationships, contracts and agreements as well as your home. Your home life is up for transformation and although you are still very much thinking about the details and how to dot the Is and cross the Ts, it’s a time of completion and even achievement. Whatever happened in August 2013 around is moving to the next level, coming to light and is out in the open.

Some Virgos experience this time period as one of financial and social ‘gain’ based on your network of friends and acquaintances, community involvement or fundraising activities. Others will see their customer base grow after some time of networking, schmoozing and connecting people with each other.

So during this time, you may be reluctant to let go as your emotions take precedence over much of the other things in your life and the area ruled by the Moon, especially with Jupiter nearby, becomes of great importance – to do with your friendships and social network on the one hand and your own creativity, creative initiatives and children on the other.

Then, both Venus and Mars travel hand in hand through Aquarius and then later on through Pisces from mid-month. While in Aquarius, the pair joins up with Neptune, the planet of creativity but also illusion. This is a real creative and futuristic placement and as you deal a certain amount of conflict at work or around your finances and debt management, your vision and ability to find a solution to the matter at hand, will help you find the answers to tricky work situations and financial constraints.

The new Moon on 18th February in Aquarius is another planetary configuration that is conjunct Neptune. It seems as though a lot of what’s happening this month feels like it is touched by magic, sudden fireworks and intuitive decision-making. For you, it’s a new start to do with what I just mentioned: finances and stressful work situations but also matters of health, intuition, matters of spirituality and wellbeing.

And then it gets really interesting towards the end of the month.  Venus and Mars move into your relationship zone, heating up you partnerships. Great for singles, a little more disruptive for couples. It kind of means that whereas before, you had a slight inkling, a vague idea and nascent emotions about something, now it hits you right in the face, it’s put at your feet, it knocks at your door – quite suddenly and without warning. And it’s possibly a little insight into what’s to come in March – eclipse month and a time that shakes up your relationships and relationship status. Brace yourself. Have a great month, Virgo!

February 2015 horoscope - Libra

I follow the Vedic calendar; this is the February 2015 horoscope for birthdays from 16th October to 15th November or Libra Ascendants and Moons

Libra, the month begins with the full Moon in Cancer on 3rd February which falls into the area of your chart to do with career, life direction, social standing and finances on the one hand and what’s developing and happening on the home front on the other hand. Together with Jupiter at the top of your chart, it could be time to bring something to light and ‘launch’ a new career path, to the official spokesperson, mediator or diplomat at least for the time being in your chosen profession. For many Libras, this is still very much a preparation month on many levels but around the time of the full Moon, you’ll be making your intentions known, ready to spread your wings and go into a new direction – soon. So, whatever happened in August 2013 around is moving to the next level.

So during this time, you may be reluctant to let go as your emotions take precedence over much of the other things in your life and the area ruled by the Moon, especially with Jupiter nearby, becomes of great importance.

Then, both Venus and Mars travel hand in hand through Aquarius and then later on through Pisces from mid-month. While in Aquarius, the pair joins up with Neptune, putting you into a very romantic mood and after a few years of Saturn in your sign, you’re ready to have some fun, flirt and enjoy some time with your lover, children or working on something creative – creative or futuristic fiction writing seems to be something that caught your eye. Whether you’re single or not, this is a time to spend more time being out and about than inside, you never who you’re going to meet. Generally speaking, the beginning of the month and around the 18th seems to be a better time for romance than Valentine’s day!

The new Moon on 18th February in Aquarius is another planetary configuration that is conjunct Neptune. It seems as though a lot of what’s happening this month feels like it is touched by magic, sudden fireworks and intuitive decision-making. For you, it’s a new start romantically and creatively and really, this kind of means that whereas before, you had a slight inkling, a vague idea and nascent emotions about something, no it hits you right in the face, it’s put at your feet, it knocks at your door – quite suddenly and without warning…well over the next two weeks or so anyway.

As the month draws to a close, it’ back to work, it’s busy, busy, lots happening, lots to do and not enough time to spend what you enjoy doing most at the moment: thinking things through, developing and expanding your interest in spirituality, foreign places, ashrams and spending time away from what you know and the people and places you usually surround yourself with. The work load can cause a bit of stress and conflict between you and a partner and if, at this time, you are looking for love, you may be better off waiting until mid-March – much better off. But in any case, the end of the month is a busy time for you and possibly already points at some of the themes the eclipses in March will bring: releasing some of the tension you have felt over the past years, following your instincts and taking time out. Have a great month, Libra!

Annual and monthly horoscopes are very general so get in touch if you are interested in an individual chart reading. In readings, I use the Indian Dasha system in individual forecasts which is known for its accuracy. You can also follow me on Facebook, Twitter and Google +, see you there!
