October 2012 forecast - Libra

Happy birthday Libra! Saturn, the great teacher, has changed signs and has now settled in Libra for the next 2,5 years. It’s a very important time for you Libras! As Saturn went through your 12^th house, the focus was an internal one. The emphasis was on internal growth look over the last several years and now, it’s time to have a think about what you’ve learned about yourself and which direction your life should take. Now is a time of restructuring and maybe some heavy responsibilities, there are certainly some areas in your life that require more of your time and attention. As part of that, some hard lessons may need to be learned. Ultimately, however, this can be a time of great accomplishments. Libras can really do some great things but you will have to release some control which you have built up over the past 29 or so years before things can really emerge, be dealt with and then transformed. New structures are now important and are required of you. There is a need to set strong boundaries as this is about your own personal growth and maturation.

Libras can’t say no very well so if you can help it, don’t try and take on too much. Too much responsibility won’t do anyone any good right now and don’t try and do everything at the same time if you can. This transit affects several areas at the same time so it’s important to take it easy and in chunk-sized bits otherwise your physical health might suffer it things get overwhelming. This transit will enable you to get more disciplined and eventually accomplish more things. Don’t be frightened of this transit - it helps create new opportunities for you in the long run.

Venus your ruler is in your 11^th house of friends, networking, social-networking and the wider corporate marketplace. This may be a good time for meeting new friends and one could turn into a romantic prospect. However, don’t rush into things, Venus sits opposite Neptune which might confuse things or you’ve got the rose-tinted glasses on and can’t see the wood for the trees. From the 23^rd, Venus then moves into your 12^th house and it’ll be beneficial to spend time on your own. The Sun is also in the 12^th house until the 16^th of October – the place Saturn has just left to move into your solar first house. This is an opportunity to take on board and integrate everything Saturn has presented you with in the past 2.5 years before it moved into your sign. This means that all baggage you let go off has well and truly left your life and is no longer part of your personality.

Mars is in the 2^nd house of income until mid November. There may be some arguments around possessions but it may also be a good time to create new ways of making money. Only be careful of impulsive purchases with Mars squaring Neptune in the 5^th house of gambling and opposing Jupiter the planet of expansion. In conjunction with the North node which magnifies everything it touches, it might be best to leave your credit card at home sometimes. Reign it in if necessary! On the flipside, you may have more energy or opportunity to bring the money back in again that has been impulsively spent. With Mercury, the negotiator, in the first house, this may also be a time when business contracts are signed, changed or negotiated. Mercury goes retrograde early November so you’re better off signing on the dotted line this month.

Jupiter in the 8^th house could bring good fortune via someone else. More specifically, it’s someone else’s money such as an inheritance, a bank loan, tax refund, insurance payout and investments. Since the summer, Jupiter has brought abundance, opportunities and expansion to all 8^th house activities. You are more protected during this time and it’s also an opportunity to deepening levels of trust and intimacy. However, often the effects of this transit are not felt until it’s over and there has been some time for everything to sink in. So it’s important not to miss - the right – opportunities. Jupiter now going retrograde means what was experienced so far, new lessons learnt or new opportunities if not taken at least spotted, are now being integrated, seriously considered or new knowledge is taken on board and applied.

Pluto in your solar 3^rd house is still squaring Uranus. Authority figures are still challenging and there could be some profound and sudden changes in the workplace. There might be a move to a different department or even a complete change of direction.

The month finishes with the full moon in the solar 7^th house. This could bring a relationship into your life or end an existing one. In any case, the full moon shines a light on your one-to-one relationships. It might bring things to a head and any underlying issues are now out in the open. Decisions will be made around this time.
