I follow the sidereal
calendar; this forecast is for birthdays from 16th October to 17th
November
Happy birthday Libra! Saturn, the great teacher, has changed signs and has
now settled in Libra for the next 2,5 years. It’s a very important time for you
Libras! As Saturn went through your 12th house, the focus was an
internal one. The emphasis was on internal growth look over the last several
years and now, it’s time to have a think about what you’ve learned about
yourself and which direction your life should take. Now is a time of
restructuring and maybe some heavy responsibilities, there are certainly some areas
in your life that require more of your time and attention. As part of that,
some hard lessons may need to be learned. Ultimately, however, this can be a
time of great accomplishments. Libras can really do some great things but you
will have to release some control which you have built up over the past 29 or
so years before things can really emerge, be dealt with and then transformed. New
structures are now important and are required of you. There is a need to set
strong boundaries as this is about your own personal growth and maturation.
Libras can’t say no very well so if you can help it, don’t try and take
on too much. Too much responsibility won’t do anyone any good right now and don’t
try and do everything at the same time if you can. This transit affects several
areas at the same time so it’s important to take it easy and in chunk-sized
bits otherwise your physical health might suffer it things get overwhelming. This
transit will enable you to get more disciplined and eventually accomplish more
things. Don’t be frightened of this transit - it helps create new opportunities
for you in the long run.
Venus your ruler is in your 11th house of friends, networking,
social-networking and the wider corporate marketplace. This may be a good time
for meeting new friends and one could turn into a romantic prospect. However,
don’t rush into things, Venus sits opposite Neptune which might confuse things
or you’ve got the rose-tinted glasses on and can’t see the wood for the trees. From
the 23rd, Venus then moves into your 12th house and it’ll
be beneficial to spend time on your own. The Sun is also in the 12th
house until the 16th of October – the place Saturn has just left to
move into your solar first house. This is an opportunity to take on board and integrate
everything Saturn has presented you with in the past 2.5 years before it moved
into your sign. This means that all baggage you let go off has well and truly
left your life and is no longer part of your personality.
Mars is in the 2nd house of income until mid November. There may
be some arguments around possessions but it may also be a good time to create
new ways of making money. Only be careful of impulsive purchases with Mars
squaring Neptune in the 5th house of gambling and opposing Jupiter
the planet of expansion. In conjunction with the North node which magnifies
everything it touches, it might be best to leave your credit card at home
sometimes. Reign it in if necessary! On the flipside, you may have more energy or
opportunity to bring the money back in again that has been impulsively spent. With
Mercury, the negotiator, in the first house, this may also be a time when
business contracts are signed, changed or negotiated. Mercury goes retrograde
early November so you’re better off signing on the dotted line this month.
Jupiter in the 8th house could bring good fortune via someone
else. More specifically, it’s someone else’s money such as an inheritance, a bank
loan, tax refund, insurance payout and investments. Since the summer, Jupiter
has brought abundance, opportunities and expansion to all 8th house
activities. You are more protected during this time and it’s also an opportunity
to deepening levels of trust and intimacy. However,
often the effects of this transit are not felt until it’s over and there has
been some time for everything to sink in. So it’s important not to miss - the
right – opportunities. Jupiter now going retrograde means what was
experienced so far, new lessons learnt or new opportunities if not taken at
least spotted, are now being integrated, seriously considered or new knowledge
is taken on board and applied.
Pluto in your solar 3rd house is still squaring Uranus. Authority
figures are still challenging and there could be some profound and sudden changes
in the workplace. There might be a move to a different department or even a
complete change of direction.
The month finishes with the full moon in the solar 7th house.
This could bring a relationship into your life or end an existing one. In any
case, the full moon shines a light on your one-to-one relationships. It might
bring things to a head and any underlying issues are now out in the open.
Decisions will be made around this time. Think about what happened at the end
of January 2012 and you might get an idea of what the next step in the story
is.

October 2012 forecast - Virgo
I follow the sidereal
calendar; this forecast is for birthdays from 17th September to
16th October
The big news this month is that Saturn finally leaves your sign this month after a 2.5 year stay! And aren’t you a different person now! Virgos just ended a phase of complete restructuring and discipline that might have affected all areas of life. When Saturn moves over the Ascendant or the Sun, the time of letting go of the old and eliminating what is not needed anymore has come. This can be a painful process but it is often not unexpected. Saturn has travelled through Virgo since late 2009 and when Saturn hits the Sun and / or Ascendant, certain issues have been dealt with out in the open. Virgos got rid of aspects in life that no longer played a vital part and were no longer needed for their growth process. This might have concerned relationships, your living situation or your professional life. Crucially, this was a time of internal and personal growth with Saturn in the first house or going over the Sun. A time of great maturing and personal achievement after the hard work is done. As a lot of people, I used to fear Saturn transits until I began to understand them better. Now, the attitude is ‘Bring It On!’. All the delays and responsibilities felt under a Saturn transit will be worth it in the end.
For those with Moon in Virgo, the past two years signified the peak of what Vedic astrologers call the 7.5 year Sade Sati period. Sade Sati starts when Saturn enters the zodiac sign immediately before the Moon sign and ends when it exits the sign after the moon sign. During this time, emotional maturity takes place which is why it is often one of the most painful periods in life (also depending on the age of a person). For Virgo-Moons, this was a time where changes in the home might have taken place, perhaps even a long awaited move that now feels like a fresh start. For others, the relationship with their mother or other females may have undergone profound changes.
Now in the 2nd house, the North node will follow Saturn in January 2013 to stay there for 18 months. In Vedic astrology, the North node or Rahu is said to show one’s deepest desires and where one is prepared to take the biggest risks – so the spotlight truly remains on the 2nd house for quite a while. At the same time, this transit shines it’s light onto the 8th house of joint finances, loans, tax, insurance and your partner’s income. Over the next 2.5 years while Saturn resides in the 2nd house and is joined by the North node and other faster moving planets, the focus firmly remains on being more disciplined around money – not that this is an issue for Virgos but it’s likely that there is a shake-up and change in these areas of some sort. Watch out of the eclipse times to see then changes are likely to happen or situations that became stagnant move to the next phase. With an eclipse coming up in November, how you earn money or ways you always have been earning money might change. Saturn and Mercury together will help give this process some structure. Saturn is joined by Mercury from 1st October, so your mind and communication is focused on all these things.
The 25th is an interesting day as Saturn and the Sun are conjunct and Mercury is conjunct the North node in the 3rd house – pay attention to developments around agreements, communication, selling, interactions in your immediate environment – perhaps around your finances or those of your partner. Whatever is discussed and agreed then is likely to have long-term value.
Jupiter is going retrograde on 4th October in your house of long-distance travel, higher education, legal matters, media and publishing, teaching and spirituality. There might also be more contact with foreigners, travel and everything global. Since the summer, Jupiter has brought abundance, opportunities and expansion to all 9th house activities. However, often the effects of this transit are not felt until it’s over and there has been some time for everything to sink in. So it’s important not to miss - the right – opportunities. Jupiter now going retrograde means what was experienced so far, new lessons learnt or new opportunities if not taken at least spotted, are now being integrated, seriously considered or new knowledge is taken on board and applied.
The full moon rounds off the month shining across your solar 2nd and 8th houses, reinforcing the reoccurring theme for Virgos around your income and that of your partner, bank loans, tax or insurance and bringing issues around that to the surface. This area will most certainly experience profound transformation over the next 2.5 years with Saturn and the North node transiting here.

October 2012 forecast - Leo
For birthdays from 17th August to 16th
September
This is a very active month for Leos with all four angles in the chart being activated. Until the 23rd, Venus is transiting through Leo’s first house of the self, their physical appearance and how others see you. Some maybe by learning new skills or taking a further education course that really requires some attention and hard work. After mid-month, the Sun also joins Saturn and Mercury in this house putting the focus on selling, transaction, travel. In October, Saturn also trines Neptune in the 7th house and helps to get rid of some illusions around relationships.
This month brings a lot of focus on your immediate environment, the home and the work place but the month ends with a full moon in the 9th house of long-distance travel and higher learning. October 2012 forecast - Cancer
I follow the sidereal calendar; this forecast is for birthdays from 16th July to 16th
August
Saturn has now firmly put down roots in the 4th
house for the next 2.5 years, after having moved out of the area in your chart
to do with siblings, neighbours, communication, short-distance travel and
education where it’s been since 2009. Now, a time of emotional refurbishment has begun to help you remove limitations around
your emotional life, your foundations and home environment. This transit might
have an impact on your relationship with your partner, parents or it might
throw some challenges in the work place your way. Saturn at the bottom of the
chart – as it is the case in all angular houses – has a big effect on many
areas of your life by conjuncting, squaring or opposing all of these areas and
your patience will be tested. This is does not happen from one day to the next so
patience is required but you have probably already felt it coming for some
time. Perhaps you’re planning to sell that house or change jobs which might
require a move. Mercury moves into the 4th house right at the
beginning of the month, ensuring your mind is firmly focused on these areas.
The North node will follow Saturn into the 4th house in January 2013 to stay there for 18 months. In Vedic astrology, the North node or Rahu is said to show one’s deepest desires and where one is prepared to take the biggest risks – so a move to a more exciting place suddenly seems likely in the next two years. However, for the time being, the North node still sits in your 5th house of overall pleasure, children, hobbies, creative self-expression and true love and in October, is joined there by Mars. So expect a flurry of activity in this area but remember not to be too short tempered with your children, partner or around creative projects that require input from other people.

In the 11th house of hopes and
dreams, group activities and friends, your network of people is likely to have
expanded over the past few months. These people might have come from abroad or
are quite knowledgeable in one way or the other. In any case, they are likely
to play a part in making your dreams come true and might have already had an
impact in helping you advance in your career or bringing you closer to your
goals.
The new moon on 15th October plants a
new seed in the areas connected to the 3rd house of siblings,
short-distance travel, communication, neighbours and education. There should be
increased optimism and positivity and something should kick-start in this area,
especially for Cancerians born during the last 10 days of the sign or with
their Ascendants between around 20 to 30 degrees of Cancer. The effects are
likely to be seen nine months later – so mark July 2013 in your diary. After the 23rd, Venus also travels
through this house which means that things in this area should go smoothly.
Before then, Venus continues to move through the second house of income and self-worth. In Leo, many Cancerians might be tempted to spend a bit of money on luxury items. But hey, a new pair of shoes has never done anyone any harm. However, in opposition to Neptune and squaring impulsive Mars in the 5th house of gambling and Jupiter in the 11th house of gains, make sure you don’t overdo it, otherwise the dream of yet another pair of Manolo’s might turn into a nightmare. This transit can be positive or not so positive and depends a bit on how you handle it. You can also attract big money and financial opportunities might be abundant. But this is not a long-term transit so the temptation to spend rather than to keep a tab on your transactions is certainly. Venus is not a hugely practical planet so it’s important to keep your eyes open, otherwise you might miss the opportunities that present themselves now.
The full moon at the end of the month puts the focus not only on friends, groups and teamwork but also on hopes, wishes and dreams where some might see things coming to fruition. In the 10th house, it’s also a time when everyone notices you and you are asked to perform in the job or even the home. It’s a time when any issues in these areas are likely to come to a head. With so much focus on the 4th house in the long-term, which at the same time influences the house of career, profession and life direction, it seems as though these areas will experience major transformations over the next months and years. Late July next year should see advancements or even closure of what is beginning in October.

October 2012 forecast - Gemini
I follow the sidereal calendar; this forecast is forbirthdays from 15th June to 15th July
October starts off with the Sun in house of family, home, deep seated emotions. Mercury left this house on 30th September so your mind will have been focused on this area of your chart for the past month. Sun trine Neptune, dream big October will put a major focus on the 5th house of overall pleasure, children, creative self-expression and true love. With Mercury and after mid-month also the Sun here, your mind shifts to these areas. At this time which also coincides with the new moon, the Sun still trines Jupiter, so expansion and growth around property matters is possible – at the very least a feeling of optimism, opportunity and abundance should be available. And don’t Gemini’s need that at the moment.
Saturn has now firmly put down roots in the 5th house for the next 2.5 years, after having moved out of the area in your chart to do with home, property matters and family where it’s been since 2009. Since then, it helped you remove limitations around your emotional life, your foundations and home environment. It might have affected the relationship with your partner or parents or challenged you in some way in the work place. Saturn at the bottom of the chart – as it is the case in all angular houses – has a big effect on many areas of your life by conjuncting, squaring or opposing all of these areas and your patience was tested. Now, these matters should come to a close. Perhaps you’re finally selling that house or changing jobs which might require a move.
After this time of emotional refurbishment , Saturn has moved into the 5th house of creativity, love affairs and children. Geminis are now learning to deal with increased responsibilities in this area over the next 2.5 years. Love affairs and having fun might become serious business. This does not happen without some effort and focus. Something needs to go but if we hold on it becomes even more burdensome – so what is it that you need to let go off so that something new can be born?
On a more positive note, Saturn is now in trine to your Sun so any challenges in this area should be easier to overcome than in the previous 2.5 years. Saturn also trines Neptune this month which might open doors to the big wide world. The North node will follow Saturn into the 5th house in January 2013. In Vedic astrology, the North node or Rahu is said to show one’s deepest desires and where one is prepared to take the biggest risks.
The new moon in the 4th house trining Jupiter on 15th is a feel good factor. Maybe that move is finally on the cards or a new job on the horizon. There should be increased optimism and positivity and something should kick-start in this area, especially for Geminis born during the last 10 days of the sign or with their Ascendants between around 20 to 30 degrees of Gemini. The next stage of developents is likely to be seen nine months later – so mark July 2013 in your diary.
Venus in the house of neighbours, siblings, communication and short-distance travel until the 23rd which means that things in this area should go smoothly. Maybe there even is a love in your immediate environment as your social life is likely to pick up during this transit. In trine with Pluto on the 7th house of relationships, there might be a deep, immediate attraction with someone new.
After the 23rd, Venus moves into the fourth house. This transit might mean a new look for your house and a redecorating project under way. Venus is also connected to money so you might want to work from home, feel more at home or generally withdraw from the world for the next four weeks or so to recharge the batteries. Venus also opposite Uranus at the end of the month, which can signify big changes in the work place or the home. Perhaps a new job that leads to a change in your home environment. At the same time, Uranus is in a long-term square to Pluto in the 7th house, so a transformation of relationships is on the cards.
Meanwhile, Mars in 6th house of work habits, lifestyle, health and overall self-improvement. Busy times and energised times lie ahead. Geminis will have more energy to change old work routines and fitness habits for the better. One thing to remember is that frustrations felt at work should not be ignored but instead of airing them in front of colleagues, go to the gym! Suppressed frustrations might now result in physical symptoms.
In many areas October is a time to think big for Geminis and as the
month draws to a close, the full moon puts the focus not only on friends, groups
and teamwork but also on hopes, wishes and dreams where some might finally see things coming to fruition.
October 2012 forecast - Taurus
I follow the sidereal calendar; this forecast is for birthdays from 14th May to 14th June
The month starts with a very interesting
aftertaste from the September full moon conjunct Uranus in your 11th house of
group activities shining its light into the 5th house of romance, children and
creativity. With the unexpected changes brought about by Uranus, sudden
revelations might have been brought to light in these areas.
October is always a playful, outgoing and
romantic time of the year for you and when it comes to relationships, early
Taurean Suns or Ascendants (to about 13 degrees) still have the North node in
their 7th house which is joined by Mars from the beginning of October. For the
past 18 months, the North node has been transiting the 7th house and the focus was
on commitment and partnerships. In Vedic astrology, the North node or Rahu is
said to show one’s biggest desires and where one is prepared to take the
biggest risks. There could have been some ‘fated’ or ‘destiny-changing’ kind of
encounters and there could have been beginnings, endings or sudden developments
during the eclipse times. Until January 2013, the North node will still go
through your 7th house and it is now joined by Mars. Be prepared for some
strong, emotional reactions when it comes to partnerships. It’s a time when you’re
not overly patient anymore when it comes to other people’s behaviour when you
feel you’ve been treated unfairly. You’re now less scared of confrontation and
other people’s reaction to your straight talking.
On the other hand, wherever Mars sits, there
is activity. So relationships or cooperative projects might be energized in
some way and start moving. However, remember patience is required and teamwork
might be the key here without rushing into something new head first when you’re
not sure of it. Slow down and try and understand things first – as a Taurus,
this should not be a problem.
Venus moves through the 4th house which might
mean a new look for your house and a redecorating project under way. Venus is
also connected to money so you might want to work from home, feel more at home
or generally withdraw from the world for the next four weeks or so to recharge the
batteries. In a square to Mars in the 7th house for approximately
the first 10 days of the month, this transit reinforces tensions in a
relationship and brings emotional issues to the surface. Emotions and passions
now want to be expressed without hesitation. After mid-month, the intensity should
ease off.
Jupiter is still in your sign until the
summer of 2013, opening doors for you in many ways. After more than two years
of Saturn in your house of fun, you now want to fly high. This is about
personal growth and having the opportunities to achieve what you want to
achieve. But often the effects of this transit are not felt until it’s over and
there has been some time for everything that’s changed to sink in. So it’s
important not to miss - the right – opportunities. There might also be more
contact with foreigners, travel and everything global.
Saturn has moved out of an area where it’s
been since 2009 removing limitations around creativity, children, fun and
self-expression. Your patience was tested during that time in these areas. Now,
Saturn has moved into the 6th house of health, employment, work, fitness. In
any case, Taureans are now learning new skills over the next 2,5 years.
Until the 17th October, the Sun is still in the 5th house where the emphasis is on entertaining activities, fulfilling and could be centre of attention, ego-boosts. After it joined Saturn there for a couple of years every time it entered the 5th house, this time it might feel like sudden breakthroughs in this area are finally happening with Uranus in opposition none of the push and pull energy Saturn caused.

Mercury joins Saturn in the 6th
house early in the month, finally turning your attention to the paperwork
that’s been left unattended for some time. This is also a time to learn new
skills and communicate in a very precise manner, a time to analyse, resolve and
come up with new ideas around work or even health routines.
A busy month for Taureans with a
lot of movement in relationships and some more clarity and structure in the
workplace and around health and fitness.
October 2012 forecast - Aries
I follow the sidereal calendar; this forecast is for birthdays from 14th April to 13th May
The full moon at the end of September brought things
to a conclusion or into the open in your house of work, colleagues, health and
routines. In a wide conjunction to Uranus, there might have been a sudden
change in work or health routine that left you feeling as though a bit of
me-time is required. You then start October with a burst of energy, keen to
implement new routines in your health and / or work before the Sun moves into
your 7th house of partnerships in the middle of the month.
After over two years in the 6th house of health routines and work, Saturn also shifted signs and has now settled firmly in your 7th house for the next 2.5 years. Wherever Saturn is in our chart, there are lessons to be learnt and this area of life is seriously put to the test, so this transit forces you to get rid of old baggage in relationships. You might already have a feeling what this relates to – it might be business partnerships, it might be your personal one-to-one relationships. In any case, in opposition to the Sun, this gives Aries a much more serious outlook on life and relationships. At the moment, things seem to be moving awfully slowly. However, this is not a transit to be worried about - Saturn gives you the opportunity to eventually break free from fears and limited relationships. Mercury joins Saturn in this house on the 1st of the month, allowing you to speak your mind! It allows you to communicate clearly with your partner and get things in the open. Now is the time to get things of your chest. On and around the 11th, Mercury sextiles Pluto, supporting you in your quest for the truth and helping you to dig deep to get to the source of things.
It’s also a good transit to go out and seek advice from a lawyer or doctor – an expert in his field that might be able to shed light on some of the things that are on your mind.
Meanwhile, Mars transits the 8th house of good loving, so it might get hot under the sheets for some Aries, renewing the sparks that disappeared under the surface. This might also be the better option than quarrelling about joint finances which might be the downside of this transit. Avoid the ego-clashes and unnecessary arguments with your loved one and you should get around conflicts when it comes to finances. Mars also makes impulsive and with Jupiter going retrograde in the 2nd house of income, maybe leave the credit card at home once in a while. Other areas of focus with this transit might be around your pension, insurance, tax, inheritance or bank loans - expect a burst of energy there if you've been waiting for things to move.
Jupiter going retrograde on 4th October for four months signifies a more introspective time. In Vedic astrology, retrograde motion is considered to make a planet stronger unless it is in its exaltation sign in which case it acts like a debilitated planet. In the 2nd house, you might be re-evaluating or maybe restoring your beliefs, perhaps your self-worth and what you truly value.
Pluto still squares Uranus, so for some Aries there might have been some limitations on what you want to do and how to express your individuality - this transit will still go on for a number of year (until 2015) so ensure you find creative ways to express your individuality. It is important now for Aries to do what they want to do and even start a new business.
The month ends with a full moon on 29th October, again putting the spotlight on close relationships. Full moons bring something out in the open and it feels like all those the conversations you’ll be having in October around the future of your relationship and joint-finances will reach a peak then.

Here is the general solar chart (sidereal) for Libra Suns and Ascendants for the birthday year October 2012 - October 2013. According to the sidereal calendar, the Sun is in Libra from 17th October to 15th November.
Libras just entered a
phase of complete restructuring that affects all areas of life. Saturn entered
Libra for the first time in 28 years in November 2011 before its retrograde
phase and then settled there for the next 2.5 years this summer.
When Saturn moves
over the Ascendant or the Sun, the time of letting go of the old and
eliminating what is not needed anymore has come. This can be a painful process
but it is often not unexpected. Saturn has travelled through Virgo, the solar
12th house for Libras, since late 2009 and the years since then would have been
a time of building pressure and discontent. Now that Saturn hits the Sun and /
or Ascendant, issues are out in the open and it becomes more and more obvious
what needs to change and what the solution is. While Saturn is still in the
‘hidden’ 12th house, it would have been easier to ignore the rising
temperature.
For the next 2 years,
Libras will get rid of aspects in life that no longer play a vital part and are
no longer needed for their growth process. This can concern relationships, the
living situation or the professional life of the person. Most importantly, this
is a time of internal and personal growth with Saturn in the first (solar)
house. Ultimately, is it a time of great maturing and personal achievement
after the hard work is done. As a lot of people, I used to fear Saturn transits
until I began to understand them better. Now, the attitude is ‘Bring It On!’.
All the delays and responsibilities felt under a Saturn transit will be worth
it in the end.
Saturn is exalted in
the sign of Libra and will make Libras turn their attention to one-to-one
relationships. Especially Libra Suns and Ascendants will not be willing to
accepts imbalances in relationships (business and personal) and will be looking
to set firmer boundaries to achieve more equality.
For those with Moon
in Libra, the coming 2 years signify the peak of what vedic astrologers call
the 7.5 year Sade Sati period. Sade Sati starts when Saturn enters the zodiac
sign immediately before the Moon sign and ends when it exits the sign after the
moon sign. During this time, emotional maturity takes place which is why it is
often one of the most painful periods in life (depending on the age of a
person). For Libra-Moons, this is a time where changes in the home can take
place, perhaps even a long awaited move that will feel like a fresh start but
which might still take some time to actually happen. For others, the
relationship with their mother or other females might undergo profound changes.
With the North node /
Rahu changing signs in January 2013 (according to the sidereal calendar) from
Scorpio to Libra, it truly is a time for personal expansion and growth. It is a
time to look after one’s own best interests. This is a time for Libra’s to put
themselves out there to get what they want.
Jupiter, the great
beneficiary, is in the 8th solar house before it moves to the 9th house Gemini
in June 2013. Until then, other people’s resources and values can help Libras
advance and get closer to their goals. Now is a good time to apply for that loan
and speak to the bank manager.
As Jupiter rules
Libras’ 6th solar house of health, sickness, employment, co-workers and small
pets, all these areas may undergo long-lasting and profound transformation with
the ruler of this house in the Taurus-ruled 8th. The 6th house is also the
house of divorce (the 12th house from the 7th; the dissolution of marriage
contracts) so with Saturn and the North node going over the Ascendant and / or
the Sun and disruptive Uranus sitting in the 6th house for some years to come,
some Libras may decide to call it quits when it comes to their partnership.
Once Jupiter moves into the 9th house, many Libras may (perhaps literally)
thank the good Lord. It’s a time of expanding one’s perspective through
travels, philosophy, spirituality, religion, maybe even further education. At
this time, Jupiter will be in trine to the Libra Sun - focusing on any of these
areas might provide some relief to ongoing pressures and lighten the mood.
Then, Uranus, the planet of sudden change sits in the house of employment,
shining a friendly light onto the MC, which may make some Libras return to the
classroom and finally get out of that dead-end job with its endless routine.
A hugely important
year for Libras that is set to change the way they think about themselves and,
although only after some spring cleaning, alter their routines. Maybe some will
find themselves in a different country altogether by the time their next
birthday comes around.
