For birthdays from 17th August to 16th
September
This is a very active month for Leos with all four angles in the chart
being activated. Until the 23rd, Venus is transiting through Leo’s
first house of the self, their physical appearance and how others see you. The
planet of attraction here means that you will indeed feel more attractive,
magnetic and with a greater desire to relate to others. However, as Neptune
sits in the 7th house of partnerships, Mars squares Leos from the 4th
house and Jupiter from the 10th, emotions might be running high when
it comes to relationships, the work place and the home environment. While there
is a lot of potential for movement and progress, keeping a cool head until the
transit has passed around mid month is the key.
After the 23rd, Venus moves into the 2nd house of self-worth
and income. With the Sun in this house too until the 17th, there is
a stronger drive and awareness around your earning potential. There might be
the opportunity to attract more money or increase your self-worth. The 2nd
house is also the house of talents so with the ruling planet here, Leos will have
the opportunity to expand in this area. The new moon on 15th October in
favourable aspect to Jupiter in the house of profession and vocation might
introduce new ways of earning – more progress should be expected in July next year,
so pay attention around that time.
Jupiter, which has provided Leos with a feeling of expansion in the
professional arena, goes retrograde in Taurus in the 10th house of
life direction and vocation. would have been more opportunity in the past months.
Jupiter at the top of the chart often points to some sort
of a peak in life when someone’s life direction can change, ones outlook
expands and rewards are received. However, often the effects of this transit
are not felt until it’s over and there has been some time for everything that’s
changed to sink in. So it’s important not to miss - the right – opportunities.
There might also be more contact with foreigners, travel and everything global.
Jupiter now going retrograde means what was experienced so far, new lessons learnt or new opportunities
if not taken at least spotted, are now being integrated, seriously considered
or new knowledge is taken on board and applied.
Saturn is now in the 3rd house of siblings, writing, short-distance
travel and communication for the next 2,5 years. All these areas are about to
undergo a period where more structure is required. And in the sign of Libra,
should hopefully happen in a fair and balanced way. What doesn’t kill you makes
you stronger is the keyword here and as a stronger person, we are required to
take on more responsibility. With Saturn in the 3rd house, this
might have to do with siblings, neighbours, Leos might have to change the way
they communicate or short-distance travel puts an initial burden on daily
routines. As challenges, limitations and frustrations in this area crop up,
some letting go of old methods is necessary to only focus on what truly needs
focus. This will ultimately help Leos mature and structure your immediate
environment.
Saturn is joined by Mercury on the 1st, so your mind and
communication is focused on all these things. A lot of thinking and learning is going on
now. The North node will follow Saturn into the 3rd
house in January 2013 to stay there for 18 months. In Vedic astrology, the
North node or Rahu is said to show one’s deepest desires and where one is
prepared to take the biggest risks – so the spotlight truly remains on the 3rd
house for quite a while. At the same time, this transit shines it’s light onto
the 9th house of higher learning and global travel so many Leos
might now pack their suitcases to expand their horizons. Some maybe by learning
new skills or taking a further education course that really requires some
attention and hard work. After mid-month, the Sun also joins Saturn and Mercury
in this house putting the focus on selling, transaction, travel. The 25th
is an interesting day as Saturn and your ruler the Sun are conjunct and Mercury is
conjunct the North node in the 4th house – pay attention to developments around
agreements your career or home. Whatever is discussed and agreed then is likely
to have long-term value.
In October, Saturn also trines Neptune in the 7th house and
helps to get rid of some illusions around relationships.
This month brings a lot of focus on your immediate environment, the home
and the work place but the month ends with a full moon in the 9th
house of long-distance travel and higher learning. With the North node still
transiting the 4th house of house and home, this might be a time
when Leos truly take that step to get out into the world, expand their
knowledge for a change of scenery.
