I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the annual solar horoscope for birthdays from 13th February to 14th March or Aquarius Ascendants and Moons
Aquarius, a new solar year begins for you and I’ve already mentioned it in your monthly forecast for February but rarely do so many planets gather in one sign as they do this year in Aquarius. Mercury, Mars, the Sun, Neptune and later in Venus also Venus gather in your sign. This means that you start your new solar year with the spotlight being on yourself. You feel more attractive, outspoken, energetic and determined as well as optimistic. You have a lot of charisma at the moment and if you need to push forward with a project, contract or house move use of the energy before Saturn and Mercury are turning retrograde. All of this makes for a promising start to your personal new year.
There are a few key areas highlighted in your chart this year. First of all, there is the house of the past, your home, your emotional life and possibly your mother that receive a boost from Jupiter, the planet of luck, expansion and opportunity. Jupiter has been travelling through this house of your chart since the summer of 2012. This transit is a very pleasant one that opens your heart and expands your emotions, it makes you more optimistic and confident and can help you put setback to one side more easily. On a material level, it can also mean a house move – maybe even abroad as Jupiter rules the big wide world - for some of you and opportunities or even ease in your property matters. Jupiter also rules your houses of income, gains and your hopes & dreams so there could be money from property coming your way and fulfilment of a wish related to your living situation, at least until the summer of 2013 before Jupiter moves on to the next sign. Questions around your living situation and property could actually be a major focus point for you until the summer as Jupiter in your 4th house is the focal point of an ongoing Yod, or Finger of God. The Yod is said to have the potential to trigger major events in someone’s life and is ongoing until around April time.
The other two planets involved in this configuration are Pluto in your 11th house of gains, hopes and dreams, networks, friends, the wider community and the corporate world and Saturn in your 9th house of the higher mind, publishing, education, your beliefs, your faith and religion. Ready or not, it’s time for change in these areas.
Pluto in your solar 11th house means that you may be involved in a community project that touches you very deeply but which helps transform the lives of many for the better. You may be very passionate about a certain social movement or it could be that your group of friends is slowly changing. You may now form life-changing friendships, perhaps with people from a different cultural or social background. Pluto, as the modern ruler of your 10th house, may also mean that how you earn your money through your job is changing.
The ongoing square with Uranus in your house of income puts additional pressure on cooperating with groups, friends, the wider community or the corporate world. There may a lot of power struggles going on and sudden developments that have an impact on your income – for better or for worse. The squares will be exact towards the end of May and again in the very first days of November 2013. Both days are very close to the eclipses, which means that for all of us, this will be a time of heightened emotions and yet further evolvement.
For you Aquarius, the eclipse points of 2013 and 2014 will stir up your travel and education sectors. With the North node / Rahu and the South node / Ketu across your axis of travel and education, you may travel more at home or you may feel an urge to visit places you have never seen before. This year, it’s all about broadening your mind, expanding your views and re-establishing or restructuring what you believe in. For the time being, keep your passport and suitcase at the ready. In 2013, you are more than ready to leave the comfort of familiar grounds in favour of some adventure. Saturn, your ruler, also supports you in this quest, transiting through exactly the same area in your life. This can also relate to education and learning new skills which you can then use to either add to what you earn or change the way you earn your money. Although Saturn is a productive planet, it is never really a comfortable transit but I feel that for you, in your 9th house, it can actually be quite beneficial. It seems that although you have dreams of exploring the big wide world, you will do so constructively and with a purpose. You may want to study a subject you’re recently become fascinated with but it has to lead to tangible outcomes over these coming 12 months. The eclipses at the end of April, 10th May, 25th May, 18th October and 3rd November will turn out to be opportunities or closure and culminations points in the areas of learning, developing your skills and ideas and making new experiences. Although the effects can relate to tangible outcomes such as publishing your memoirs, buying a car (or having to write it off!) or changes in the lives of your younger siblings but overall, I tend to think of the 3rd and 9th houses as the thinking houses so the effects are felt on a mental level more than have physical outcomes.
While you may have to deal with some upheavals in your sector of income and changes in your group of friends in the first half of 2013, the fun starts from June onwards until the summer of 2014. Jupiter, the planet of opportunities, enters your house of true love, children and creativity, creating a beautiful, supportive trine with your sign, Mars, Saturn, Rahu and Neptune in June and July. This makes you more flirtatious, generous and playful, and therefore more attractive. Jupiter is also the planet of prosperity and in this position, it relates to creativity and entertainment. You may now be able to cash in on your creative talents. The full Moon on 23rd June will help you reap the rewards and pick the fruits of your efforts – this also related to children, perhaps you are now finding out about a pregnancy. It could be a very intense time with Pluto in opposition to the full Moon.
If, during those summer months, you do meet someone new, then August and September will be the best times to make a commitment and decide how you want to move forward with the relationship and how to make the best of any joint resources you may share.
Aquarius, you end the solar year in 2014 with a new mind set and a positive outlook on life. It seems as though you will receive a lot of support this year and although some areas in your life undergo deep transformation, the energy in general appears to be a lot more stabilising for you than in previous years.
Have a great solar year ahead!
