March 2013 horoscope - Aquarius

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the monthly solar horoscope for birthdays from 13^th February to 14^th March or Aquarius Ascendants and Moons

Aquarius, it’s still your birthday month and, boy, do you have charisma at the moment. Especially Aquarians born from around 1^st to 14^th March are feeling the planetary support now which supports your endeavours with that long-awaited boost and the energy. You seem to have the get up and go you need to go after what you want. Your new solar year is well under way now and maybe more so than ever, you now identify quite closely with or you are concerned about your personal goals, any joint resources, ideas, creative projects as well as children.

For the first half of the month, you may also be thinking about far-away places, travel plans and how you can turn this into a reality. Saturn, your ruler, is currently going through your 9^th house of travels, teaching and everything that expands your horizons while the ruler of that house, Venus is in your 1^st house this month. This is a very helpful aspect, especially if you have been thinking about teaching and mentoring or maybe you’ll find yourself in the position of the student. Not only in March – it may be the beginning of a new journey in this area – but for the next 2 years. This transit it opens up your heart to everything that is new and enables you to stretch beyond what you’ve known so far. It reaffirms your beliefs and your faith – in particular in yourself. The new Moon on 11^th March in your sign is your annual re-birth so this is a good time to start planning new ventures and projects.

With the Sun, Venus, Mars, Mercury and Neptune still in your 1^st house of the self and your physical appearance, you may also attract a lot of attention to yourself now. This affects your committed relationships and business partnerships too and you may spend a lot time thinking about how to improve them, what is lacking or how to stabilise one particular relationship if there are some loose ends to be tied up. Aquarians, you do receive a lot of planetary support throughout the year, especially after July time when your ruler Saturn starts moving forward again and Jupiter moves into Gemini, one of the other air signs in the zodiac. But this also means that things won’t stand still for you, especially in March when there is so much focus on yourself, I’d imagine that you already have the feeling things are shifting in quite a few areas in your life. It may even feel as if a knot is beginning to get untangled – slowly but surely. I say slowly but surely as your ruler Saturn is now retrograde until early July asking you to slow down and review your plans.

Perhaps the obstacles and maybe even challenges are related to your finances, gains and projects you work on with other people. As all of us are feeling the mounting pressure of the upcoming Uranus square Pluto and for you, the pressure is on your house of income and how you earn your money. Mars and Venus are also involved in this square in March so it could be a bit of a volatile time in that regards. Keep your money under the mattress this month – it really is the safer place for it this month.

In March, Mercury is still retrograde until the 18^th in your 1^st house and is conjunct Neptune.  While this can be quite a creative and inspired combination, it is also one where we prefer to see what we want to see. So be careful and clear in your communication and get your thoughts in order before committing to something. Mercury rules your 8^th house of transformation and intimacy but this is also the house of tax, insurance, inheritance and other people’s resources. All of these areas can at times be outside of our control, so again, you may be better off looking at the finer details of insurance offer or loan agreements twice as long as Mercury is retrograde and transiting the same house as Neptune. 

The month ends with the full Moon in Virgo in the nakshatra of Hasta, symbolised by the raised hand or the fist which means strength, togetherness and power in its general attributes on 27^th March. Meanwhile, the Sun conjuncts Uranus, Mars and Venus, all of which square up to Pluto. Although squares are productive in the sense that they inject the energy and the focus we need to get things going, they are not very comfortable aspects and we often have to put a lot of effort into solving issues and removing obstacles in the areas touched by the squares. Think about what began in late September 2011 with another milestone at the end of June 2012. For you, Aquarius, this can have to with large co-operations such as banks and insurance companies whose actions have an impact on your income and generally your gains from your (property-related) projects. Alternatively, late March can be a time when your circle of friends is undergoing some transformation.
