June 2014 horoscope - Gemini

Happy birthday Gemini! This year around your birthday, you are most likely looking back onto a year that was like no other of our life. Your relationships, how you interact with others, your career and the people around you all changed shape, size and gained in numbers and in opportunity. As challenging as it was, it is likely that you now acknowledge how rewarding it has been at the same time. This month, you are determined to start the new solar year with a bang as things are about to shift. You begin the month with your ruler, Mercury, in your sign, ensuring you get our point across, that you are heard and even that people follow your lead. When the ruler is in your own sign, the innate qualities of the sign get enhanced and flow the way they should. In your sign, it’s you chatty and light-hearted nature that attracts people to you. With Jupiter still (!) in your sign until mid-month, relationships and in fact, any one-to-ones with other people remain a central part of your focus and bringing someone special into your life remains your heart desire. At the beginning of the month you still have the chance to do so – people are watching you and with all your romance and relationship areas accentuated, you’re spoilt for choice.

Now, in the past, this is what you may have wanted, a bit of distraction here, a new influence there, another person’s admiration over there. However, romance in recent months has turned into serious business and in June, with your ruler, Mercury, going retrograde from 7th until 30th June, you are rethinking your options. You need time to reflect and take a step back and even though you more than most signs value your independence and free-spirited nature, you want to make sure you are making the right choice romantically. Partners have been demanding on you in the past months and now you want a breather and think things through. This is one option that’s happening.

For other Geminis out there, your home may turn into your place of work this month and you either take on a refurbishing project or you make other changes to your home environment. Perhaps people from your past turn up at your doorstep for a get together reminiscing about the good old days.

In any case, this is a busy time for you, a lot of planning, admin and paper work land on your desk that you need to work through. By the end of the month, around the time of the new Moon in your sign on 27^th June you’ll be done with all of that and it’s time to focus on how to best turn your skills into money. A lot of Gemini’s are very creative and the coming twelve months are your once in a twelve year opportunity to hugely increase your bank balance. This ‘gain’ can comes from working with others – also from a marriage! – your creative skills, your writing and communication abilities and your sense for sealing the deal good and proper.

All of this expansive energy comes from Jupiter changing signs on 19^th June when he moves into your house of income. Jupiter feels extraordinarily comfortable in this sign and promises a year of abundance, optimism and expansion in the area in the chart it travels trough. So, yes, this transit is one that has the potential to fill your purse to the prim but it’s also one that turns your relationships upside down. And this of course can mean a marriage from some Gemini’s while others are changing their expectations around partnerships and some are experiencing their current partner undergoing some sort of transformation. In any case, whereas this time last year, you began to see yourself and identify yourself strongly with another person and with being part of a relationship – or having to work things out in certain partnerships – your liaisons are now simply moving on to the next stage.

The full Moon this month takes place on 12^th June in Scorpio in your house of daily routines and health. So if the past few months have taken their toll – and they most likely will have done – then it’s time to distress! Book a spa weekend, try and dig out your gym membership card that in all those ‘action-packed’ first few months of the year you have not had the chance to swipe through once. And do it quick – a few days after, when the Sun is in your sign, you’re your usual busy self again, chatting, brainstorming and running from A-B-C in the speed of light.

This full Moon is in the nakshatra of Jyestha and is ruled by the planet Mercury. Under the influence of Jyestha, we seek to be the best in whatever we do and we may well achieve this but mainly through our own efforts.
