June 2014 horoscope - Leo

Leo, this one could be a month just as you like it. You're the centre of attention, it's a hugely busy month in terms of parties, anniversaries, celebrations, promotions and generally being involved and being the centre of something. This could be a group, a community, a long-term work or even a fundraising project project where you play the role of the leader or the spokesperson. People want to listen to you this month, meet up and make plans. This is also a high-intensity month for finances - hence the idea of a bonus coning your way. The only slight downside is that Mercury, the planet of communication, is going retrograde from 7th until 30th June in just this area of your chart. During his transit through this area of your chart, Mercury opposes Pluto, the planet of transformation, power and money. So, there may be someone in your circle of friends or business associates who opposes your ideas, plans and hopes for the future, especially those money-related. For others, this you could also be in the final throws of hatching a financial deal where big money is involved. There is something speculative about this 'project' but it's also likely to be something you've been dealing with for some time. In June, you'll discover a few more layers that need to be smoothed out before you'll see progress, or most likely, the full stop to the deal. The new Moon on 27th June helps you to do just that - push things forward, initiate conversations with the right people and introduce a new cycle in your undertakings that involve groups of people.

So then, after a year of connecting, expanding your circle of friends and acquaintances, of making big plans for the future, getting involved with new people and working on some big, long-term project, it's time to relax. Jupiter, the planet that helped expand your world and surroundings over the past year and at times turned it all upside down, changes signs on 19th June and moves into Cancer. Jupiter feels extraordinarily comfortable in this sign and promises a year of abundance, optimism and expansion in the area in the chart it travels trough. Some of the keywords associated for you with this transit are spiritual awakening, intuition, travel to different countries and guidance from your dreams. Leo's are not necessarily known for their healing abilities but over the next months, you may discover this side in you or develop an interest in the art of healing through alternative methods. It's a time of recuperation before you burst out with new energy in a year's time. During this time, it is not only your inner world that changes but externally, there could be positive transformation around the house, initiated or rather accentuated by the full Moon which takes place on 12th June in your house of house and home. Think of what began in mid-December 2012 and you'll see what is being wrapped up and finished now. You may have wanted to move house, go on a big holiday or simply find some inner peace. It may have taken all this time for things to evolve but frankly, you've been busy with other things.

This full Moon is in the nakshatra of Jyestha and is ruled by the planet Mercury. Under the influence of Jyestha, we seek to be the best in whatever we do and we may well achieve this but mainly through our own efforts. This puts you at an advantage in whatever area the full Moon falls and hence, you can reap the rewards for your efforts. However, with the sign of Scorpio involved here others' jealously can be part of the picture with this placement.
