June 2014 horoscope - Virgo

Virgo, it kind of feels like you're at the top of your game this month. Even though your ruler, Mercury, is going retrograde from 7th until 30th June, he is in the sign of Gemini, the other sign he rules and with the new Moon in the same area this month,  I feel this is rather a time of pressing ahead than stagnation or you waiting for things to happen further down the line. Yes, you may still need to wait to discover some additional news or layers to a contract, promotion or work project, it will only serve in your best interest. As a Virgo, you like to mull things over anyway so this retrograde period won't feel as frustrating as other may have done. After all, you still have Mars, the planet of action in your sign, rapidly moving forward again, so taking action and making decisions won't be a problem for you this month. In fact, you'll be very busy this month with things like signing contacts, emailing, phoning, texting, meetings, general life admin, planning, schedules and for some of you also some sort of skills training that will enable you to make the desired career changes that so many of you have been working towards. This transit can manifest on a number of levels such as you increasing your sources of income, expanding your circle of friends, travelling more for work, having confidence in meeting your objectives,being a source of wisdom to friends and children, perhaps those you teach. This is an uplifting time for you after the frustrating 'grind' of having had Mars in your sign and going backwards for so long - since November of last year. If you have been waiting for a promotion, well, here it is!

Now, for those Virgos looking for love, Jupiter's move into Cancer is fabulous news. The energies flow a lot easier and whereas before you where so distracted with work, your climb up the career ladder or finding a way out of the rat race, you can now enjoy the fruits of your labour and have a bit of fun. And who knows, a potential suitor might be waiting in the wings, among your new friends, that sports club you'll join or that work project you'll be put on. In any case, you're less distracted with other things now and you are free to look at what life and love have to offer outside of the office.

The full Moon this month takes place on 12th June in Scorpio in your house of siblings, short-distance travel, skills, your own effort, courage and new learning. Some of you are wrapping up a course, a project or putting the full stop on a an essay. Think of what began in mid-December 2012 and you'll get the gist. This full Moon is in the nakshatra of Jyestha and is ruled by the planet Mercury. Under the influence of Jyestha, we seek to be the best in whatever we do and we may well achieve this but mainly through our own efforts. This puts you at an advantage in whatever area the full Moon falls and hence, you can reap the rewards for your efforts. However, with the sign of Scorpio involved here others' jealously can be part of the picture with this placement. You've worked hard on whatever it is and just as Jupiter leaves your career sector, the new Moon in Gemini on 27th June and introduces a new cycle in exactly this part of life. A promotion of new job offer could follow soon after! I don't want to keep going on about your finances but needless to say a new job and a promotion will help these matters too.
