Libra, the month begins with the full Moon in Cancer on 3rd February which falls into the area of your chart to do
with career, life direction, social standing and finances on the one hand and
what’s developing and happening on the home front on the other hand. Together
with Jupiter at the top of your chart, it could be time to bring something to
light and ‘launch’ a new career path, to the official spokesperson, mediator or
diplomat at least for the time being in your chosen profession. For many
Libras, this is still very much a preparation month on many levels but around
the time of the full Moon, you’ll be making your intentions known, ready to
spread your wings and go into a new direction – soon. So, whatever happened in
August 2013 around is moving to the next level.
This full Moon is in the nakshatra of Aslesha, ruled by Mercury. During
this time, you are thinking about your feelings and it is the nakshatra of the
‘Entwiner’. You may get tangled up and entwined in your own and other people’s
emotional dramas but you may also just ‘get involved’ with other people. Being
‘entwined’ is fine in certain circumstances, for example, when the child needs
a close emotional bond but when the child becomes an adult, the mother needs to
start letting go an ‘untangle’. So during this time, you may be reluctant to
let go as your emotions take precedence over much of the other things in your
life and the area ruled by the Moon, especially with Jupiter nearby, becomes of
great importance.
Then, both Venus and Mars travel hand in hand through Aquarius and then
later on through Pisces from mid-month. While in Aquarius, the pair joins up
with Neptune, putting you into a very romantic mood and after a few years of
Saturn in your sign, you’re ready to have some fun, flirt and enjoy some time
with your lover, children or working on something creative – creative or
futuristic fiction writing seems to be something that caught your eye. Whether
you’re single or not, this is a time to spend more time being out and about
than inside, you never who you’re going to meet. Generally speaking, the
beginning of the month and around the 18th seems to be a better time for romance than Valentine’s day!
The new Moon on 18th February in Aquarius is another planetary configuration
that is conjunct Neptune. It seems as though a lot of what’s happening this
month feels like it is touched by magic, sudden fireworks and intuitive
decision-making. For you, it’s a new start romantically and creatively and
really, this kind of means that whereas before, you had a slight inkling, a
vague idea and nascent emotions about something, no it hits you right in the
face, it’s put at your feet, it knocks at your door – quite suddenly and without
warning…well over the next two weeks or so anyway.
As the month draws to a close,
it’ back to work, it’s busy, busy, lots happening, lots to do and not enough
time to spend what you enjoy doing most at the moment: thinking things through,
developing and expanding your interest in spirituality, foreign places, ashrams
and spending time away from what you know and the people and places you usually
surround yourself with. The work load can cause a bit of stress and conflict
between you and a partner and if, at this time, you are looking for love, you
may be better off waiting until mid-March – much better off. But in any case,
the end of the month is a busy time for you and possibly already points at some
of the themes the eclipses in March will bring: releasing some of the tension
you have felt over the past years, following your instincts and taking time
out. Have a great month, Libra!
