Mercury retrograde until 18th March 2013

Mercury goes retrograde today until 18th March in the sign of Aquarius. This is one of those times of the year when we have to reassess, rethink, readjust, re-do, repair...or start all over again!

In Aquarius in particular, we have to make sure we back up our data and be aware of gadgets failing, miscommunication on a wide scale – for example via the mass media. This is also the sign of group interactions, community projects and innovation so projects that began or are under way may require a re-assessment.

For this retrograde, Neptune is in the mix too so we have to make sure no one tries to pull the wool over our eyes – don’t believe everything you hear now and equally, make sure you are clear in how you come across. Walk through the world with your eyes open as you don’t want to realise you've overlooked an important detail in the small print.

The full Leo Moon on 25th February literally brings things to light so where information was misleading, this could come to light now or is beginning to emerge. By this point, we know, or rather, understand what we have overlooked up until now. Once Mercury is out of its shadow on 6th April 2013 (the point when it first started going backwards), things will have fallen back into place. Until then, and even though it may feel like a drag, patience is a virtue now and who knows, maybe it’s even for the better as information you have not been privy to before is exposed when Mercury turns direct.

Which areas are affected for each start sign?
Aries
Friends, networks, long-term work and community projects, older siblings, your hopes and dreams, gains from your profession

March 2013 horoscope - Aries

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the monthly solar horoscope for birthdays from 14th April to 15th May or Aries Ascendants or Moons
By Louise Gilbert
Aries, March 2013 begins with you being exceptionally busy. Your 11th house of friends is jam-packed for the first part of the month and invitations and networking opportunities are there for you to take your pick. This is a time when your focus is on your corporate network, your friends and possibly the community in which you live in. Perhaps you are being drawn into working on a project with a large, global community or you are spending a lot of time with your friends these days.  The global market place, your wider circle of friends and acquaintances including your siblings can also be source of financial gain for you this month. Financial gains are particularly well-starred at the moment in any case as Jupiter, the planet of expansion, is still transiting your 2nd house of income until the summer. You should have felt a marked improvement in this area since late January as everything you’ve been working towards is now paying off – in particular if your Ascendant is in Aries. Make use of this energy as long as you can as the same opportunity won’t come around again for another 12 years. If indeed you have felt a boost around your finances, then you should find yourself in a much stronger position money-wise even when Jupiter leaves this house on 31st May. The 2nd house if the house of your own earned income and you are having to put in the effort to reap the rewards but whatever you’ve learnt or initiated over the past year, will stay with you moving forward!

In order to communicate with your growing network of friends and associates, early March may also be time when you decide to invest in some new gadgets, update your online (dating) profile and increasingly communicate via modern means of technology. You’re ‘out there’ at the moment, getting closer to making your dreams come true. The new Moon on 11th March in this area in your chart is a new beginning and if you are about to launch a new campaign or business idea, then this is the time to do it. Both Pluto and Saturn are supporting any new endeavours while Jupiter increases your bank balance…although you may not see the results until September.

The only thing that may be a little irritating is that Mercury is still retrograde until 18th March and in your house of global networking so be careful with what you are about to post on Twitter and Facebook. Equally, your filter when it comes to deciphering what piece of information is real and which isn’t may also not be at its sharpest at the moment with Mercury going backwards AND conjunct Neptune.

So, after a busy time networking in early March, your annual wind-down phase commences. Planet after planet is gathering in your house of behind the scenes and just as well, as you’re building up to the first of the eclipses in April that will hit your relationships axis. But for the time being you’ll simply be recuperating and preparing for the new solar year – preparing for new projects, thinking about the past year and the progress you’ve made, reviewing the choices you’ve made while starting to make new ones that you’ll begin to implement in April. And quite possibly, these have to do with your relationships. Whether you’re single or coupled, the focus on partnerships is a major one in 2013. Some of the questions you may be asking yourself are whether you have put up too many barriers or not enough, has your partner put too many limitations on the relationship or have you limited yourself in getting the relationship you want? Key learnings in this area are in the post for you and as Saturn is going retrograde until early July 2013, you are required to go over some old ground and find out – again - what it is you want from a relationship but also how far the mutual commitment of one particular association stretches. So, from mid-March you’ll have enough time to ponder…

Then, the full Moon on 27th March in Virgo opposes the Sun, Uranus, Mars and Venus, all of which square up to Pluto. Although squares are productive in the sense that they inject the energy and the focus we need to get things going, they are not very comfortable aspects, especially in the mutable signs, and we often have to put a lot of effort into solving issues and removing obstacles in the areas touched by the squares.  Think about what began in late September 2011 with another milestone at the end of June 2012 and this should give you a clue as to what comes to a conclusion now or moves on to the next level. For you Aries, this puts the spotlight on some niggling health concerns, your daily routine around work and fitness but it can also blow arguments and conflicts that have been unresolved up to now out of proportion, especially with the major squares involved. The best way to master the squares and the full Moon is to be aware. While there may be some challenges involved in this full Moon, you now know where you stand on certain agreements and if you have to give up on some idea or some deal, you know you will be better off without in the long-term.

March 2013 horoscope - Taurus

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the monthly solar horoscope for birthdays from 16th May to 15th June of Taurus Ascendants and Moons

By Louise Gilbert
Taurus, although some health and fitness concerns are on the agenda and you may be required to keep your head down at work for the time being and simply be of service, this also looks like it’s a month when you come unstuck. You are in the process of a major expansion on many levels as Jupiter is now zooming forward through your sign until the summer. Hopefully, since the summer of 2012, you would have felt more outgoing, optimistic about your future and maybe more adventurous than is common for your sign.  Jupiter could have also brought you an expanded network of friends, acquaintances and corporate contacts from which you may have profited. Your friends could have also been a source of happiness for you. However, the past year would have also been a time of personal transformation for you and in March this healing process continues steadily. This could have also had a beneficial impact on your relationships which continue to receive a boost.

Added to all that is the fact that your career may be becoming more international and progress, changes and generally some movement is indicated in this area this month. Neptune, Venus, Mercury, Mars and the Sun all occupy the top of your chart for the first part of March, focusing your energies towards profession and general life direction.  With Saturn in the 6th house of your work – the place rather than the career – you may have been thinking about a change in routine whenever the work load gets too much and coupled with Jupiter in your sign providing the opportunities for you, you may finally decide that the grass might indeed be a little greener elsewhere.  Even though Neptune transiting this area in you chart may have been cause for some confusion in the past and you were unsure of where you’re headed with so much planetary focus supporting your efforts, what you really want from life and your true vocation may become more evident and obvious to you in March. The only thing to remember is that Mercury, the planet of communication, is still going backwards until 18th March and conjunct Neptune, be careful of people in your professional life pulling the wool over your eyes. If you are applying for a new job or get head-hunted, make sure it’s time well spent and the opportunity is what it looks like. You’re in for the money come the summer Taurus but March may be one of the times when you also think that it can’t get any better. But then again, you’re a patient sign so no worries there, I think..!

The new Moon on 11th March in this area in your chart is a new beginning. It’s your annual refresh and review and a good time to start putting your feelers out. At the same time, a job opportunity may also fall into your lap that could have significant ramifications further down the line and develop into something beautiful over the next six months.

After mid month, things get a lot more social and you’ll be networking your little socks off. Your ruler Venus is in its exalted position which means she feels very comfortable there so, if you are single, you could attract a potential mate – perhaps via some online dating, your group of friends or a networking event work. Mars, the planet of your opposite sign, is moving through the same house alongside Venus so the attraction could be instant and mutual. As all the planets move into Pisces and are supported by transiting Jupiter in your sign, it could also be a really romantic time for you. What a lovely way to welcome spring. Alternatively, you could just be spending more time than usual with your friends or even start volunteering for a charity.

As the month progresses and Mercury moves direct again, this could also have a fairly beneficial impact on your finances so if you have been waiting for new contracts to be signed, then this may be the time when dot the Is and cross the Ts including the right pay package.

The full Moon on 27th March in Virgo opposes the Sun, Uranus, Mars and Venus, all of which square up to Pluto. For you Taurus, this could relate to romance, children, your creative projects, self-expression and some kind of a celebrity status and authorship. Whatever you’ve been working towards in these areas could come to fruition now and it’s the time for you to harvest and reap the rewards – perhaps after one final push up the hill.

Have a great month Taurus!

March 2013 horoscope - Gemini

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the monthly solar horoscope for birthdays from 16th June to 15th July or Gemini Ascendants and Moons
By Louise Gilbert
Gemini, the initial impression I get when I look at your solar horoscope for March 2013 is that this is shaping up to be a time where your personal freedom and space is on the agenda. This can either manifest in you wanting to go on a big trip and why not, we all want to get away for some winter sun – if you’re in the northern hemisphere – or you are thinking about further education, you busy yourself re-examining your faith or you find some sort of a guru who can answer all of (your) life’s burning questions. But this doesn’t really seem to be all – this month, you are less focused on the smaller details, every day communication and bits of information that your sign is traditionally occupied with. Instead, you want to look at the world from above, you want to rise up a level and gain some new experiences that may end up changing your beliefs, your perspective on life in general, how you view the world and perhaps even where you are headed next in terms of your life direction and your career. This area in your chart may have been a source of instability and transformation for some time already or you simply want to have more freedom to move and choose as you please in your career but whatever you’re experiencing in early March may push you towards making decisions about your profession and life from late March and April.

So, for the first part of March, you’re solar 9th house of the higher mind is host to altogether four planets plus the new Moon on 11th March. I feel like this simply puts you in a good mood although you may have to be a little more thoughtful before you express your thoughts as your ruler Mercury is still going backwards until 18th March. Be careful of a tendency to adopt a teacher / preacher style of communication when talking to other people. Nevertheless, this new Moon in Aquarius is a new beginning and in your case, one that contributes to your newly found perspective and hopefully optimism in life.

Regardless of whether you single or coupled up, there may be an element of intangibility to your relationships at the moment as the ruler of your relationship house is in your behind-the-scenes house. It’s the house of faraway places, our dreams, intuition and imagination. It’s not the house of the material plane, it’s what we feel is there but we’re not sure how and where. So when it comes to relationships, this means that your partner may either be away for the time being and not so readily available for a chat or you are keeping the relationship behind closed doors for the time being. All of this changes in the summer and if you’re single, it’s then less likely again that you to spend your days fantasising and dreaming up images of how your perfect partner should be like – you’ll be more likely to consider the guy next door again who may not be what you’ve been dreaming about but what’s good for you.

What’s adding to this temporary creative blockage is that Saturn is moving through your house of true love, children and creativity. It’s the house where we express ourselves freely, where we flirt and play. Here you are required to bring structure into processes connected to all of these areas so that you end this transit with a strong sense of who you are, how to express yourself (not just via communication) and which love affairs are worth going after and which aren’t. This is also the transit of ‘a serious love affair’ maybe even with someone older, wiser, in some cases, with someone who teaches you some of life’s vital lessons. Until July, Saturn is going retrograde so despite all the progress you’ve made over the months since August, you are required to go over old ground once again in these areas – for good measure and to let it all sink in once and for all.

After the first part of March which perhaps opened your eyes in a few respects, the second half of March brings you back down to earth again but only in the sense that you are required to focus on career, life direction, your goals and even your living situation. You have probably already started making some changes or thought about where you should be heading but the impressions gained and conversations had during early March will have left a lasting impression that helps you with any decisions that now need to be made.

The full Moon on 27th March in Virgo then opposes the Sun, Uranus, Mars and Venus, all of which square up to Pluto. Although squares are productive in the sense that they inject the energy and the focus we need to get things going, they are not very comfortable aspects, especially as this one is also squaring up to your sign. The end of March cold be one of the more intense times of the year as all the four foundation houses in your solar chart are touched. This is your sense of identity or your physical body, your home environment, your one-to-one business and personal relationships as well as your career. A lot to take in! In order to get through the square transits, we often have to put a lot of effort into solving issues and removing obstacles in the areas touched by the squares. But think about what began in late September 2011 with another milestone at the end of June 2012 and this should give you a clue as to what comes to a conclusion now or moves on to the next level. It seems you, Gemini, are in line for some big shake-ups.

March 2013 horoscope - Cancer

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the monthly solar horoscope for birthdays from 16th July to 15th August or Cancer Ascendants and Moons
By Louise Gilbert
Cancer , after a couple of months where relationships were highlighted, you enter March with your mind and energies focused on areas such as joint finances, tax, inheritance – also money you keep hidden from others or vice versa -, bank loans for a mortgage and insurance. This could also relate to property matters including buying, selling, refurbishing, as this part of your life is undergoing some major changes over the next two years too. So, after the past couple of months when you and your partner – business or personal – were discussing the shape, limits and opportunities of your current relationship or, if you were single and you put an end to it, then March and April herald the next step in your partnership.

You and a partner may have been trying to pull a new business off the ground and now is the time to sort out the paperwork around finances and sign on the dotted line. Alternatively, you may receive an insurance pay out or you are informed that you have overpaid some tax. In any, case, I feel that money is more likely to be coming your way than going in the opposite direction and the new Moon on 11th March in this area of your chart is a new beginning. This is the time to start applying for bank loans, if you have not already done so. It may also be your growing network of friends, the wider business community in which you operate or your client base that help move things along to increase your bank balance. In this case, the new Moon is a good time to do some networking and hand out your business cards. You should see the results six months down the line. The only thing is that Mercury is still retrograde until 18th March and in your case, there could be delays with paperwork coming through and communication around deadlines, conditions and the finer details could be a little blurry.

While these are some of the more tangible results, the area in your chart highlighted for the first part of the month also relates to intimacy, fears and anxieties. If some of these now come out of the woodwork, you’ll do best by facing them head on. With Saturn at the bottom of your chart shaking up your emotions, asking you to get rid of outdated emotional patterns, March can feel a little intense. For some of you, March may be the month when you seek some professional help to get rid of ghosts of the past – this, in fact, can be hugely beneficial for you now as you will have to go over some old ground in this area until July.

The second half of the month will put you in a much more optimistic mood and after the intensity of February and early March, the planetary shifts into your 9th house of world travel is a very welcome break. It the time of the year when you are quite keen to get away to a place that’s home from home for a little while. During this time, you are able to take a deep breath and look at the bigger picture rather than being drowned in paperwork or trying to make sense of the shifting foundations of your life (perhaps even literally your home or living situation). You may be keen to start a new course or you may suddenly find yourself pre-occupied with questions around religion and faith – anything that broadens your horizons, expands your knowledge base and increases your awareness what’s going on in the world.

The full Moon on 27th March in Virgo could see you being a little restless and fidgety which may contribute to you wanting to get away for a bit. This full Moon opposes the Sun, Uranus, Mars and Venus, all of which square up to Pluto. Although squares are not very comfortable aspects, especially in the mutable signs, where we often have to put a lot of effort into solving issues and removing obstacles in the areas touched by the squares, I feel that this one is a more productive full Moon for your sign. Yes, of course, while you may finally decide to take on a course to change your job or start writing your memoirs, I feel that this full Moon alongside the squares has more of an impact on your opinions, ideas, beliefs – perhaps also work projects.

Anywhere where you have to communicate, sort out paper work and articulate your thoughts may require some kind of a breakthrough. If you applied for a bank loan earlier on in the month or in February, then this may also be time when a conclusion is reached. Think about what began in late September 2011 with another milestone at the end of June 2012 and this should give you a clue as to what comes to a conclusion now or moves on to the next level.

March 2013 horoscope - Leo

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the monthly solar horoscope for birthdays from 16th August to 15th September or Leo Ascendants and Moons

By Louise Gilbert
Leo, February 2013 was one of your biggest relationship months in a long time and the trend continues in the first half of March. The focus is on your closest relationships, your trade and business partnerships which require some attention now. This is the time of the year when partnerships usually take priority and questions around commitment and whether or not you are with the right partner – professionally or personally – crop up during this time. With so many planets in the sign of Aquarius, it’s likely that nothing will remain the same. Changes that have affected this area in your life may have felt quite sudden but this is only because you have let situations and circumstances become stale and solid for too long. Aquarius and Leo are a fixed signs after all so sudden eruptions may have been felt somewhat disruptive.

What may now be contributing to this feeling of disruption and perhaps even confusion is that Mercury, the planet of communication is retrograde until 18th March and in opposition to your Ascendant, Sun or Moon in Leo AND conjunct Neptune, the planet of illusion. This means that there may be some misunderstandings around the finer details of a partnership, you may not be able to read what’s being said between the lines very well at the moment or, in a worst case scenario, someone could be trying to pull the wool over your eyes. For the first three weeks, it’s best to take eagerly made promises with a pinch of salt in case it turns out to be wishful thinking rather than a heartfelt commitment. The same goes for yourself – although there is a very strong desire there for the next 1 ½ years to from a committed relationship, if you are currently unsure about making a commitment to someone then wait until the storm has passed and you can see more clearly again. This is the case for Leo Ascendants and Moons in particular.

If you are currently not in a relationships that requires a fairly significant amount of attention, then you may meet someone who is quite a creative, artistic and musical and maybe someone who you would not have considered before. But this is also a combination of planets that means we sometimes prefer to see what we want to see. So be careful and clear in your communication and get your thoughts in order before falling head over heels. The new Moon on 11th March in this area in your chart is a new beginning. It’s your annual refresh and update of your relationships and your opportunity to move forward with a new approach to your existing partnership.

The second half of the month shows a focus on money. Joint finances, property related matters – possibly some transformation in this area -, tax, inheritance and insurance are the focus now. If you and a partner have been trying to pull a new business off the ground, now is the time to sort out the paperwork around finances and sign on the dotted line. You may receive an insurance pay out or you are informed that you have overpaid some tax. In any, case, I feel that money is more likely to be coming your way than going in the opposite direction! There is also a strong link to your current career which has received a boost over the past year. There could be a nice little pay package or a bonus coming your way now. While this all sounds good, there is this undercurrent of transformation accompanying all these transits – and this is connected to your past, home environment, emotional state and your life direction. While your home itself may undergo a refurb or you even decide to sell, I get the impression that any transformation that is happening now has more to do with your emotional life and as a consequence the direction you now decide your life should move into. A possible change in life direction or more opportunities around career and work is nothing new for you as you have had Jupiter at the top of your chart since last summer in a very supportive position. This may make you want to go overboard at times but Jupiter here also protects you and tries to transform your career and the way you earn a living. With Jupiter transits – also with Saturn transits – we often don’t recognise how our life has moved on or changed until well after the transit has passed but if you already have a feeling of what the morning after, the next phase your life or the next chapter of the book shapes up to look like, then this underlying sense of transformation is nothing unsettling for you and instead, simply helps you move forward another step.

The full Moon on 27th March in Virgo opposes the Sun, Uranus, Mars and Venus, all of which square up to Pluto. Again, for you Leo, this is in connection with your money, what you earn and what you need, your partner’s finances or those that you have applied for such as bank loans. Expect something around these areas to come to a conclusion now, it’s out in the open, decisions have been made or you will make them, to move forward.

March 2013 horoscope - Virgo

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the monthly solar horoscope for birthdays from 16th September to 15th October or Virgo Ascendants and Moons

By Louise Gilbert
Virgo, while March is shaping up to be one of the biggest relationship months of the year and maybe one of the most exciting in that respect for a very long time, the month starts off with a big focus in the area of your chart that rules work – the place where you work rather than your career to be more precise – and your health routines. At the beginning of March, there may be developments around your work and co-workers and new structures are put in place or you’ll hear about a colleague who has decided to move on to another job. Alternatively, with so much planetary activity in this area of your chart, you may also decide to change your eating habits or fitness regime – it’s time, quite literally, for a spring clean.

However, the solar 6th house which is so highly activated at the moment also rules conflicts and confrontations. On top of that, your ruler, Mercury, is retrograde until 18th March and in a funny angle to your Ascendant, Sun or Moon in Virgo. This means that there may be some misunderstandings you’ll have to deal with either in the workplace or just as part of your daily routine. Mercury is also conjunct Neptune which contributes to a lack of clarity in conversations and all kinds of communication where you have to get your point across. It may be the case that you are not coming across as your usual clear and straight forward self which may just be a sign of some inner conflict that you currently have to get through.

Mercury also rules your house of life direction and your profession, so a certain level of conflict and the lack of direction may also be connected to you thinking about making changes to your career and how you earn your money. So, this can come from you but it could also come as the result of someone else’s actions in your work place. The new Moon on 11th March in this area in your chart is a new beginning. It’s a fresh start and a good time to launch a new work project, restructure how you go about your daily business and begin something new that takes away some of the pressure or stress if you’re feeling any.

The, the Sun and Venus follow Mars into the house of your committed relationships and now the focus is on your closest partnerships. This can also have to do with business partnerships, your trade in general or even a friend you are very close to – someone who holds up a mirror that reflects who you are.  In the past years, you may have experienced some uncertainty and unpredictability in this area in your life and in March, you are building up to a bit of a showdown when it comes to partnerships with all its commitments and responsibilities. One the one hand, this could mean moving to the next level in your relationship after some discussion around what the relationship should look and feel like or, if it’s a business partnership, it may be connected to your finances. So you could decide to get married or form a new business partnership. One the other hand, these transits in your solar 7th house could also be building up to the complete opposite and you could decide to leave one particular relationship. With Uranus in this area in your chart, it can happen a bit out of the blue or maybe you had the feeling that something is brewing underneath the surface and it’s now coming up for air. In any case, relationships or some crucial aspect of your closest partnership seems to receive a shake-up this month.

The day to mark in your calendar is the full Moon on 27th March in your own sign which opposes the Sun, Uranus, Mars and Venus, all of which square up to Pluto. This is not such an easy transit and things can change quite suddenly. Although squares are productive in the sense that they inject the energy and the focus we need to get things going, they are not very comfortable aspects and we often have to put a lot of effort into solving issues and removing obstacles in the areas touched by the squares.  Think about what began in late September 2011 with another milestone at the end of June 2012 and this should give you a clue as to what comes to a conclusion now or moves on to the next level. If you want, let me know how you’re getting on!

There are some unusual constellations in the Sky at the moment and the month then ends with another Yod configuration, or Finger of God, with the Moon, Saturn and Rahu as the focal points in your 2nd house of earned income. The focal point is also the pressure point in this constellation. So, after all the emphasis on your place or work earlier on – and maybe as a hangover from February - the month ends with a focus on the way you earn your money or the need to save more. You are restructuring your finances at the moment, which is a longer term process and you may feel somewhat limited in this area but the kind of pressure you may be experiencing at the end of March should only last for a few days.

Monthly forecasts are very broad, so get in touch if you are interested in an individual chart reading. In readings, I use the Indian Dasha system in individual forecasts which is known for its accuracy. You can also follow me on Facebook, see you there!

March 2013 horoscope - Libra

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the monthly solar horoscope for birthdays from 16th October to 15th November or Libra Ascendants and Moons

By Louise Gilbert
Libra, you may not feel it but you are going through an important cycle of change at the moment and for the next 2 years where you enter a new phase in your life. This never happens overnight and never happens with getting rid of the attitudes, perception and even people you can no longer associate with. It not an easy process and for the less aware you are of what is happening in your life, the more painful it is. The end result of Saturn’s transit through your sign is a more mature you – maturity is the key to this transit as you kind of leave behind and grow out of what you’ve experienced over the past 29 years. If you are around 28-30 years old or around 56-60 years old, you are going through your Saturn return now which will give you a double-dose of this Saturnian energy.

Saturn is in retrograde motion now until early July which actually gives you a bit of a breather and you can take a step back and look at what you’ve learned about yourself since last year and where you are heading. However, Saturn retrograde not only relieves some of the pressure, it also puts some things on hold. In your case, this mainly concerns the areas in life to do with your home environment, property matters and your mother. If you were planning to move, buy, sell or refurbish, you may experience some delays now – all for the best, who knows, you might end up in a place that is exactly what you wanted rather than the one you saw last week but which would have been a bit of a compromise.

What’s good news for you this month is that you have a new Moon on 11th March in your house of true love, romance, affairs of the heart and children. New Moons are fresh starts and with a lot of energy focused on this area in your chart at the moment (since February already), you may begin a little spring romance. You may have been a little more outgoing of late and in the mood to flirt and have some fun. This also concerns creative projects so this is a good time to be creative, join an acting class or drawing course – anything where you can express yourself freely.

Mercury is still retrograde until 18th March in your house of creativity AND in conjunction with Neptune. Now, generally speaking, this combination is not the best for clear and structured communication but it can be helpful combination for all things creative as your imagination and intuition is higher than usual. If you are so inclined, use it to your advantage and go and create!

After mid-month, Venus and the Sun follow Mars into the area of your chart that has to do with work, daily routines and your health. Although your ruler Venus is exalted here, she doesn’t feel too comfortable in this house and close to Mars, the soldier, you may have to deal with some irritating situations at work, with co-workers or smaller health issues. Now is a good time to make changes to your fitness routine or the way you work to avoid stress, irritations and maybe even some level of conflict around your work and not let it affect your health and wellbeing.

In some extreme cases, with Saturn going over your Ascendant too, all these transits in your 6th house can also indicate that you decide to call it a day when it comes to one particular relationship – either a business partnership or marriage. The full Moon on 27th March in Virgo opposes the Sun, Uranus, Mars and Venus, all of which square up to Pluto. This is not such an easy transit and things can change quite suddenly. Mars rules your house of relationships and Venus is the ruler of your own sign so with both of them tangled up in a stressful square, tensions may get to some of you. Although squares are productive in the sense that they inject the energy and the focus we need to get things going, they are not very comfortable aspects and we often have to put a lot of effort into solving issues and removing obstacles in the areas touched by the squares.

During this full Moon, you may also feel the need to be alone more than usual – maybe because of some tensions you’ve been experiencing or a busy work schedule. Think about what began in late September 2011 with another milestone at the end of June 2012 and this should give you a clue as to what comes to a conclusion now or moves on to the next level. Again, this can relate to work projects, health matters or for some also relationships.

March 2013 horoscope - Scorpio

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the monthly solar horoscope for birthdays from 16th November to 15th December or Scorpio Ascendants and Moons

By Louise Gilbert
Scorpio, you’re currently going through a time of change where you’re ending one cycle and beginning a new one. Over the next 2 years or so, you are digesting what happened in the past 29 years before you start a new phase in your life. It’s a maturing process and one that takes a little bit of time for the new you to ‘ripen’. In March, at least initially, there may be a lot of thinking, internalising and feeling going on. Your house of the past and your emotions is activated by an unusually large number of planets while Saturn is in your house of endings and loss and is now going backwards until early July 2013. You are now internalising and beginning to make some sense of what’s been going on since August last year in particular.

Emotionally, you may have felt some confusion and this may still be ongoing for a little while as Saturn is now retrograde but with all the focus and the new Moon on the 11th March in this area of your life, there will be a little more clarity around your feelings, especially towards the end of the month.

This also applies if you want to move house, are thinking about selling or even just refurbishing. The opportunities and the focus is there but until the end of March in particular, there may be some delays around finding a buyer or the place that’s right for you. Alternatively, the current combinations in your solar chart also point to some delays around inheriting property, bank loans or insurance pay-outs may not be as forthcoming as you had hoped or your partner’s financial resources are somewhat restricted or not so readily available for the time being. This is because Mercury, the planet of communication and rational thinking is still in your 4th house but, like Saturn, he is going retrograde AND in conjunction with Neptune.  Mercury doesn’t mind being in the sign of Aquarius but he doesn’t like being in contact with Neptune – a combination which tends to make the task of rational thinking more difficult. Although it can be a creative combination, it can be a confusing one if we want to disseminate our emotions and make sense of them. On a more mundane level, it just means that you are better off checking the facts and figures again and again until the 18th March.

After mid-month, the energy shift and that stellium of planets is moving from the bottom of your chart into your 5th house of fun, creativity, true love children and self-expression. This is a much more amenable place for Scorpios and you should feel a little more outgoing than you did in February and earlier on in March. The ruler of your house of committed relationships is exalted in this house of true love and some Scorpios may now open up to finding someone. Perhaps even quite suddenly and it may be someone from abroad, from a different cultural background or with someone who lives at a distance. The next two to three months or so are your big relationship months of the year and while something new may start with a bit of a bang, there are also some challenges involved. All of the planets transiting your 5th house conjuncts Uranus and all square up to Pluto. These two planets in aspect mean sudden and transformation! This also applies to pregnancies, creative projects and self-expression, all of which you are identifying yourself with more than usual this month. Although squares are productive in the sense that they inject the energy and the focus we need to get things going, they are not very comfortable aspects and we often have to put a lot of effort into solving issues and removing obstacles in the areas touched by the squares.

The full Moon in Virgo in the nakshatra of Hasta, symbolised by the raised hand or the fist which means strength, togetherness and power in its general attributes is on 27th March. The full Moon is also involved in the square to Pluto and in opposition to Uranus. Think about what began in late September 2011 with another milestone at the end of June 2012. For you Scorpio, this could also have to do with your finances – maybe your children (even more than usual!) are costing you an arm and leg in March! But, there may be a partner, significant other, or someone you are quite close to who seems to be in a position to provide some support. Jupiter in your house of committed relationships shows that there is someone to guide you, support you and be there for you.

There are some unusual constellations in the Sky at the moment and the month then ends with another Yod configuration, or Finger of God, with the Moon, Saturn and Rahu as the focal points in your 12th house. The focal point is also the pressure point in this constellation. Again, on the one hand, the month ends with the focus attached to your home life and a sense of letting go. It may feel like something you can’t quite grasp the meaning of just yet but don’t let the sense of restriction or not knowing what is happening get to you too much, it’s only last a few days. Nevertheless, I thought it’s worth mentioning because of the unusually high number of planets involved. If you want, do let me know how you’re getting on!
