July 2014 horoscope - Leo

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the monthly solar horoscope for birthdays from 16^th August to 15^th September or Leo Ascendants and Moons 

Leo, you may or may not be happy to know that the month starts a lot busier than it ends. You’re out and about, connecting, brainstorming and getting involved. It’s been a hectic few weeks but as Mars moves on and out of your money zone, for a brief while, you can simply focus on the fun part of making money, i.e. the networking. I say fun, because you are a Leo after all, so during the first half of July, you’ll be in your element presenting your ideas and making sure as many people as possible hear and know about you. So far so good and if there is something to be sold, you are likely to achieve and the rewards (financial!) are yours. 

 

The other good news is that Saturn, the ruler of your relationship sector, is moving direct again after a few months going backwards. ‘Relationship energy’ was directed inwards and internalised. Perhaps you thought more than usual about what makes your relationships work and what doesn’t and how you communicate with your partner. It may not have been as easy to get your point across over the past few months. Now that Saturn is moving forward again, you’re better able to express your thoughts and ideas again – not just in relationships but generally. 

 

Then, I’ve already mentioned it in June when Jupiter moved into the sign of Cancer and into the area to do with your dream world, behind the scenes activities, foreign places and preparation for what’s to come next year. But the next big push this summer is that Rahu / the North node and Ketu / the South node are changing signs. Rahu and Ketu denote the points of intersection of the paths of the Sun and the Moon as they transit through the sky. Therefore, Rahu and Ketu are respectively called the North and the South nodes of the Moon. The eclipses occur when the Sun and the Moon are at one of these points. Wherever Rahu travels through denotes the area in the chart where the most change, disruption but ultimately growth happens. For the next 18 months, it’s all about money, your possessions, your value system and in a broader sense your family network and any financial matters attached to that. Over this period, you’ll make some and you’ll lose some and the way you earn your money is changing. Some of you will also be more driven to make money and hold on to it, while others are considering entering into a second marriage. The area of the chart where Rahu travels through from mid-July also has to do with the second life partner. It’s also a time for you to ensure you fill in your tax return correctly! 

 

The full Moon on 12^th July together with Pluto is a bit of an intense one and has to do with children and creative performance. It brings things to a close but also to light. It’s a time for you to make an announcement to friends and your ‘followers’ and whatever happens now perhaps happens with a bang. This full Moon concludes what began in January 2013 or moves whatever was initiated then to the next stage.  This full Moon is in the nakshatra of Purvashada and is ruled by Venus. The meaning of this nakshatra is that of Early Victory and the invincible sea; wealth is said to be consistently high and this is generally a generous and positive Moon and gives a natural ability to organise and manage but with a tendency to jump to conclusions. Nevertheless, one that has an element of optimism and a taste of the big wide world.
