Happy birthday Capricorn! The New Year begins with the planets slowly but
surely moving into your sign, giving you a fresh boost of energy which perhaps
you haven’t felt in a long time. Perhaps things feel a little lighter than they
have done for a while and you are actually able to enjoy what happening around
you and to you. Needless to say that this has a positive impact on your
relationships and although Jupiter, the planet of expansion is retrograde now
in your partnership zone, you may be glad for things in that department to be
slowing down a little. Some of you may have had plenty of opportunities in the
past months but either you were busy with work or your partner was somehow
unavailable, not present or distant. While not much moves forward during the
retrograde, it’s a time to reflect and review and gather your thoughts again
and think about what you truly want from a relationship – if you want one in
the first place. I say this because all of your travel zones are activated at
the moment, so it’s looking like you can’t stay in one place for too long
anyway! Of course this does not apply to all Capricorn, you oh so responsible
creatures, but something in your chart demands your focus at the moment and
whether that simply has to do with you evolving the way you think, learning
something new, making new experiences and therefore growing psychologically, it
simply take away some of the attention a new relationship needs. Just as well,
you are allowed a breather in this area now. Again, for other Capricorns who
are in an established relationship, travelling together with your partner now
broadens both of your horizons.
The full Moon on 5th January in Gemini is a time for you to reflect on your
health, stress levels and to soothe any issues around relationships and shared
finances.
In Vedic astrology, this full
Moon is in the nakshatra of Purnavasu, ruled by Jupiter, the planet of luck and
expansion. This is the nakshatra of the excellent, the good and the ‘blessed’
and the bright one. With Jupiter being the ruler of this nakshatra, it
indicates wealth, goods, riches and property; it is ruled by the god of capital
wealth or the god of life. It gives the ability to ‘create’ - in form and in
structure – hinting at success in everything they undertaken now. This is the
nakshatra of the natural educator with a love for world travel and a pronounced
interest in religious belief systems, ritual traditions with a love for
children.
With Mercury in your sign, you’ll also have a very clear idea and ability
to express your thoughts, reason with others and equally, convince others –
although not an overly emotional placement, at least, you’ll be able to reason
rationally. At least until 21st January, this is a nice placement if you wanted to debate relationship
and money matters, which, as the month goes on become a more prominent source
of either worry or ‘only’ demand your attention.
Mercury then goes retrograde on
21st January and until 12th February 2015. The consequences or hiccups of this
retrograde period can be felt until 4th March 2015 – after this time, things to do with education, travel,
children and creative projects, teaching and mentoring will ‘flow’ a little
more easily again.
The new Moon on 20th January in your sign again highlights relationship matters
and any issues associated with that – only this time round, it’s personal and
really demand your focus and attention. With Jupiter in opposition this year,
things get magnified, for good or bad. At that point Mercury is also about to
go retrograde so it’s not a time to start initiating but a major time to
review, renegotiate and eventually restart – watch things unfold in your
relationships, intimacy and shared finances over the next six to nine months.
Have a great month, Capricorn!
