Saturn is now in the sign of Scorpio for almost three years with a
short break when he moves on into Sagittarius in early 2017 for a few
months. Many of us would have experienced a shift in energy in November
2014 with the stellium in Scorpio as well as the new Moon in this sign
and then the full Moon in early December that highlighted some of the
issues, challenges and opportunities not only wherever Taurus is in your
chart but also Scorpio. Matter of loyalty, trust, commitment, intimacy,
sharing and providing and for some also jealousy, manipulation, secrecy
and some power struggles were part of the picture. By now, many of us
will have a feeling of what Saturn in Scorpio is about to demand and
teach us over the coming two and a half years.
Saturn is the agent of no-change, conformity, uniformity, lack of or slow movement, slow forward movement, freezing-up, seizing-up and stopping. The sign of Scorpio is about transformation, competition, birth and re-birth, sudden shocks and changes, anxieties, deeper meaning and deeper insights and understandings, mysteries and psychology, the unanticipated and the instinctive. Saturn here, at least initially, resists any forward movement and progress in these areas. Saturn doesn’t want to change the status quo, doesn’t want to be invaded and questioned, however, this is exactly what Scorpio does, so the two don’t make the best of matches and the best of friends. On the upside, Saturn here can prevent any sudden changes, sudden disasters and shocks. What we all need to learn over the next years is to not become defensive or if your barriers have always been very high, not to build an even thicker wall around you. This transit is about changes in behaviour and attitude, it’s about facing your fears and anxieties and accept that life goes on, no matter what. Despite a lot of repetition and stop-and-go-type situations over the coming years, the end result is some sort of reinvention in the area of your chart Saturn is transiting.
Where is Saturn in your chart now?
Aries – after a couple of years of relationship issues coupled with deep inner and psychological changes, it’s time to determine to what extent you want to share your resources, commit to another with everything that you have and more, it’s about shared finances, mortgages and tax, insurance and inheritance and a somewhat slow and difficult ‘birth’ of some sort.
Taurus – it’s either or in relationships. You’ve been patient and understanding, you’ve tried to work with what you have but your patience is spent, you’re done and you’ve had enough and boy, whoever crosses your way or looks at you funny will get to hear all about it. No more pussyfooting around the subject and if your partner is giving you a hard time, eventually, you’ll be able to, finally bite back. Don’t get drawn into power struggles and let others manipulate you in any shape or form.
Gemini – you’ll have to buckle down over the next couple of years, establish a solid routine, watch your health and generally be quite disciplined about what you eat and how you go about your daily routines. To some extent you’ll also have to watch your pennies, although this will be a bit more prominent in a year’s time, as you’ll take on a loan which you’ll then have to pay back. Not so easy with your career in flux but perhaps working for yourself is the way forward…in which case, the focus on work and money explains itself…
Cancer – love, romance and creativity are serious matters for you these days and if you have been single for a while, this is the time to start making some changes in this area. At least until the summer of next year, your confidence is at an all-time high, so great for attracting someone special into your life. Just don’t take the romance thing all too seriously – at least not on the first date. Still, all of this seems to ‘flow’ better than it has done for quite some time.
Leo – the foundations of your life, your emotions, your inner life and your home are up for restoration, inspection and refurbishment. Initially, this is not an easy realisation that you may have to work on yourself, your attitudes or on an external level, move home and in extreme cases, re-build the foundations of your life. But the silver lining, and there always is one, is that you’ll soon realise that actually, getting rid of a lot of the baggage was a long overdue process.
Virgo – you’re already very good at discriminating and paying attention to the details and this will work in your favour over the coming years as you are the one bringing order into meetings, plans and activities in the community, introducing some sort of strategic vision into everything you do. Some of you are embarking on some sort of a course to either change career or add another level of expertise to what you already do. More than most of the other signs, you’ll need to avoid becoming too critical and hermit-like in your approach, way of thinking and how you work with others. Other people should still be able to input, contribute and have their say.
Libra – it’s all about money, possessions and values for you. While you may feel that you have less to spend, it may be that you’re just becoming a little careful with what you are spending your money on. Some Libras have bigger plans involving a house or flat, so setting up a savings plan is a good idea now. With or without a partner’s input, the next few years will see you grow your savings to give your current home an overhaul or move to a new one. If this is not related to an actual home, you’ll be working hard on realising and understanding what you truly value. And that may be a lot more or less or something totally different from what you thought it was only a little while ago.
Scorpio – important times ahead for you Scorpio. You’ve felt it coming for some time, your intuition told you something has to change, you didn’t know what it was but like a bang, it hit you and now you know what needs to change. The realisation can be a little painful and as a result, you become a little withdrawn for some time but only until you figure out how to communicate, behave and act in that new way that you’ve been (and still are) working towards. For some, this can be a load off your shoulders – often quite literally.
Sagittarius – not that you don’t enjoy travelling but over the coming two years or so, you’ll be on a plane more often than you may ever have been but needs must – meaning, this is simply how you’ll be earning your pennies then. Talking about money, unless you absolutely have to, watch what you spend it on and don’t become impulsive with it.
Capricorn – you’ve been working so hard on your career in the last few years and if it wasn’t work, then your life turned around in a major way. Perhaps some of you felt as though you reached a peak of some sort. Now it’s time to adjust to this new ‘environment’, re-build a network of people around you or continue on your journey to weed out the ones that have let you down and disappointed you as you continue on your journey to reach your next set of goals and dreams.
Aquarius – it’s time for a major life overhaul. Your outlook has become softer, more creative and intuitive and perhaps visionary. Now, it’s time to implement that and create the life or business or career path that suits this newly found creativity in you. With your innate eye for innovation, you can become a true innovator now, perhaps go into some sort of a healing profession, research and science or transform your life from the bottom up. Of course not so easy with all those responsibilities and commitments but the coming years will be the more important ones in your life. Stay focused, don’t be scared.
Pisces – dare I say it, Pisces, it’s marriage for you over the coming years. According to Vedic astrology, it’s about making that commitment to another. For others who are not currently on that path (or perhaps those who are as well), it’s about learning something new, adopting a different outlook, study and research and be committed to figuring out the subject at hand.
