February 2014 horoscope - Sagittarius

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the February 2014 horoscope for birthdays from 16^th December to 14^th January or Sagittarius Ascendants and Moons

Sagittarius, perhaps more than anyone – or at least similar to your fellow mutual signs, Gemini, Pisces and Virgo – you’re glad to see the back of January 2014. The Grand Cross aspect which is formed of four squares and two oppositions hit your sign, your area of relationships, work and career direction, your sense of security and your home environment. So pretty fundamental areas in life saw some minor or larger changes, some of them quite sudden, some which have been a long(er) time coming. In any case, the challenges presented to you would have been of the fairly dramatic kind and perhaps even life-changing kind. February 2014 somewhat lets up on this pressure, the month allows for some breathing space and time to put new structures in place.

For some a personal or physical transformation, including perhaps a winter flue, was part of what you’re having to go through while some are still going through the tail end of trying to resolve a conflict situation with another or several others. In February, relationships and their smaller and larger issues are still on your mind and need to be dealt with. However, what’s really occupying your mind and perhaps draining your resources are financial and family matters. If you’ve been stuck for cash, you’ll almost have no choice than to focus on that this month and perhaps your most committed relationship is part of any financial decisions you’re making now which of course also affects your hopes, dreams and wishes and ultimately your future. If a partner, whether personal or professional, is involved in any financial decisions, it may take until early March to cross the T’s and dot the I’s. The obstacles here aren’t major but as with all ‘deals’, good communication is the key to successful negotiations. Mercury is retrograde from 7^th to 28^th February so expects some delays or a bit of toing and froing until early March.

Now, the other thing that might make your life a little easier this month is that Mars, the planet of aggression, war as well as action is moving into the area of your chart to do with friends, groups of people, your hopes and wishes and financial gains. This means your profits may come from foreign sources and deals, international development or international charity work. You’ll be mega-busy and all of this may seem draining to you but come the end of February and early March, you’ll see why you’ve put so much effort into this.

The full Moon on Valentine’s Day on February 14^th falls into your house of travel, education and the higher mind so whatever has been going on in recent weeks might make sense to you now. You’ll be able to see the bigger picture which for some of you can be a transformative experience. For Sagittarius Ascendants, this full Moon can also signify a lucky escape from a hefty tax bill for example. Most and foremost, however, I think that travel plans feature quite strongly either for work or leisure.

This full Moon is ruled by the Nakshatra of Magha and is ruled by Ketu. Magha nakshatra represents the royal palace, the royal throne, a king and a leader. Magha naksahtra feels naturally entitled to being the one who reigns. However, this nakshatra is ruled by Ketu, the point in the chart where we have to let go or where there is naturally less focus. For you, this could mean a welcome and long-needed change in attitude.  

For those Sagittarians that are single and looking, the current constellations look promising so if you have the chance to mingle online or offline, meet friends, network or throw a party, go for it and enjoy.
