November 2014 horoscope - Aquarius

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the November 2014 horoscope for birthdays from 13th February to 14th March or Aquarius Ascendants and Moons

After a few weeks of everyone going through the eclipse cycle, the next big thing in the sky is that Saturn changes signs on 2nd November and moves from Libra to Scorpio. After two and a half years of working on more balanced relationships or situations where we have Libra in our chart, it’s time for a step change and a refocus to a different part of life where we all now have to learn our biggest lessons. In the sign of Scorpio, this, more generally speaking has to do with intense commitments. The agent of ‘no-change’, conformity, uniformity, very slow movement, freezing up and standstill is now in the sign of sudden changes, transformation, healing, sexual energy and appeal, power, money, psychology and secrets. Saturn in Scorpio resists sudden changes and transformation, making healing processes of all kind not necessarily more difficult but it certainly slows down the process. And where the ‘healing’ process hasn’t even begun yet, Saturn forces us to take a closer look now – and quite possibly develop a thicker skin. This is also a period where we need to learn to deal with others’ controlling and manipulative behaviours and find a way to say ‘stop, no more’. The ‘danger’ with Saturn in Scorpio is that sudden changes, the various emergencies and upheavals are more difficult to deal if we are not able to respond accordingly or swiftly.

For you, the next couple of years (and a bit) and where your biggest learnings, teachings and wisdom will come from, are around career, life direction and where you’re headed next in life including what your goals and ambitions are. Saturn is your ruler and the next two years represent an important peak in your life, not just around your career – although to a large extent – but in terms of your entire life direction. The next couple of years put you in the spotlight. You’re probably not going to turn into a Hollywood film star, unless this is indicated in your chart of course (!), but you will have to take on more responsibility at work, at home and in relationships. These are the areas which are most likely to be ‘tested’ over the coming period. People at work as well as your partner want to look up to you and are looking to you to take the lead.

But with Saturn at the top of your chart, you have to follow the rules and you will have certain obligations to fulfil at work, at home and around your relationships. Once you get used to the heavier workload, you’ll slowly see some fruits of your labour – but only after some old-skin-shedding is done. This can mean you leave an old job or even career behind, you leave a marriage or you move home. Something has to give before you can start building a new foundation. But probably more than during any other time, you will certainly command respect in your career; but not only there, generally in life, people seem to have a lot of respect for you as you go about your way, ‘leading the masses’.

The full Moon on 6th November is in Aries and in the area of your chart to do with new skills, training, communication, your younger siblings and short-distance travels. Either you’re finishing a course or your decide to get away while you can – travelling may not be something that’ll be at the forefront of your mind over the next years as you work towards taking your career to the next level. This full Moon is in the nakshatra of Bharani, ruled by Venus. Bharani ruled by Venus. Bharani is the Bearer. In the nakshatra of Bharani, this Moon position is described as carrying a burden, carry expectations or bearing responsibility, carrying on with duties regardless. In your case, it can relate to some levels of conflict you have to smooth over, either at work or around the home or the family – your diplomatic skills may be required now to even out some arguments and situation or relationships slightly out of balance.

The new Moon on 22nd November in the sign of Scorpio welcomes Saturn in your career zone – each Moon cycles last for just under three years, similar to Saturn’s cycle in a sign, so pay attention to this new Moon and the weeks after as it is an indication of what to expect and develop over the coming months and years. Have a great month, Aquarius!
