October 2014 horoscope - Sagittarius

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the October 2014 horoscope for birthdays from 16^th December to 14^th January or Sagittarius Ascendants and Moons

Sagittarius, with you ruler, Jupiter, in the area of your chart to do with other people’s money, secrets, inheritance and rebirth, it’s certainly is a somewhat transformative period for you. Although your money situation doesn’t look bad and you may be in for some extra cash this month, there is something going on underneath the surface that changes your outlook on life, maybe even your status in the world and how you, generally, feel about what’s happening in your world. All of which may take a little while to get used to. The big news of course is that the eclipse cycle hits your 4^th house this month with the lunar eclipse on 8^th October in Pisces. This area of your chart has to do with your inner feelings, emotions, the past, your mother and your home.  This eclipse heralds some sudden changes in this area, somewhat unexpected or with a bit of twist although not entirely unforeseen. The lunar eclipse squares intense Pluto in your sign, so for some, the changes at home and in connection with other people’s money could be enormous. For some Sagittarians, the process and emotional upheaval is more internal followed by a sense of rebirth.

Generally speaking, lunar eclipses are very potent full Moons and because of the opposition of the Sun and Moon, are relationship-oriented. The full Moon brings things to light and with an eclipse, may involve some sort of a crisis. It's a time when a need or want becomes so intense, you can't ignore it. This can come from within yourself or from external sources - most likely a partner. If you are single, then the gap in your life due to a lack of a relationship, makes it presence felt - if a partnership is indeed what you want. Uranus is involved in the eclipse, so things you've been feeling, thoughts you've had come bubbling up to the surface. Thoughts and feelings that you've started to be aware of at the turn of the year and throughout January 2014. This cycle is in the naksahtra of Revati, ruled by Mercury. Some of the meanings of Revati are the Shining One, the Protector of Herds and Wealth and the one descended from a wealthy family. So, Revati is a Shining Light who shows the Path to others. Although part of the eclipse, this full Moon is considered a rather lucky one where we are able to move freely from one mental engagement to the next, like a monkey with long agile arms swinging from one tree branch to the next.

Although clear thought and a witty mind are always an advantage, Mercury is going backwards in the sky from 5^th to 25^th October 2014. This means Mercury makes sure you ask the right questions when it comes to your career and your professional path but also your relationships and you may have to go over things you already went through over the past weeks.

The new Moon on 23^rd October in the area of your chart to do with profits and, again, money as well as friends and group involvements really is a wave goodbye to Saturn. Saturn leaves this area of your chart next month not to return for another 29 - 30 years. While many friends or people you used to spend your time with have left your life over these past two and a half years, you have worked or repaired your reputation, financial position and build a more solid group of friends and acquaintances.
