June 2013 horoscope - Libra

I follow the Vedic calendar; this is the monthly solar horoscope for birthdays from 16th October to 15th November or Libra Ascendants and Moons

By Louise Gilbert
Libra, I know you still have Saturn in your sign and especially if your Moon is in Libra, you will feel the pressure, emotional upheaval and a little bit of uncertainty around and within you. Saturn is the ruler of your 4th house of your home, house and emotions as well as your 5th house of creative self-expression, romance and children. You identify strongly with these areas at the moment and both of these are currently connected to how you view yourself and the world. To put it more simply, your focus is on your home and your house as well as children, fun and romance. In both areas you would have faced some challenges over these past months but at the same time, you would have also seen some major progress and milestones in these areas that pushed your self-development a good bit forward – the eclipses in April and May would have done the rest to get you going. I am emphasising this for you as although Saturn on the Ascendant, Sun or Moon is not easy, it is in one of your four ‘kendra’ or pillar houses which form the basis of our lives. In Vedic astrology, this is a good placement that gives you positive results in these areas although slowly. I felt it’s important for you to know if you feel that things are still not shifting quickly enough!

Having said that, I think June will be a really nice month for you with a lot of planetary support and a shift from you focusing so much on finances, pensions, insurance and inheritance matters on the one hand and intimacy and your deepest fears on the other. The big news this month is that Jupiter changes signs and for you this shifts some of the good fortune, opportunities and general ‘grandness’ into the area in your chart to do with travelling, higher education, religion, mentoring and what it is you belief in. Generally in June, these areas are key for you but for the next 12 months, what you belief in may take on a broader and more generous and tolerant feel. You may become more ideological and philosophical over this time and depending on other factors in your chart, the way you communicate may also take on a more ‘preaching’ style. You may also become more involved in teaching and education – perhaps globally or with an international perspective.

If you are still dealing with financial matters as a hangover from May, then the new Moon on the 8th June in Taurus is a good time to start looking into financial planning and initiate conversations with people that are in a position to help you out financially. Equally, it may also be that an inheritance can help you along with your plans as well as your partners’ resources – which is actually quite strongly indicated. If there has been any lack of transparency in relationships or financial dealings with others, then this should clear up towards the end of the month.

But what I like most about this month is the grand air trine which is formed by Neptune, Saturn, Venus, Mercury, the Sun and the Moon. This is a beautiful and welcome respite, introducing a little bit of ease and ensuring our ideals are high and our ideas far reaching. Just as the summer begins in the Northern hemisphere, we are ready to socialise and interact with others a lot more than usual. From the interaction with others, new ideas and concepts are formed, new associations developed, new facts picked up and experiences made. For you, as an air sign, this trine focuses on yourself, your area of self-express and true love as well as your beliefs and sense of optimism. This mix put together in one bag, stirred and shaken, produces a great deal of creativity and the stamina and focus to deliver concrete results. This has to do with creative projects that allow you to show a bit more of who you really are; it includes children, your own, the ones that are planned and, if factors in your chart support this, then the ones you look after on behalf of other people including step-children!

Many Libras are undertaking some kind of new learning, developing new skills and working on (smaller) projects at the moment and the full Moon on 23rd June in Sagittarius may bring a course or project to a finish. Whatever it is you finish up now started in around December 2011 and in all likelihood has to do with your career - whenever the Moon is involved, the areas of career and life direction are affected and this time through developing new skills or finishing up some sort of paper work.

All that’s left to say, Libra, is have productive month!
