April 2013 may have been an unusually emotional month for you and it certainly was one of the more intense periods of the year so far with the first of the eclipses affecting us as well as the ongoing square between Pluto and Uranus being exact at the end of April. We still carry over the some of the same themes into May although the square is now waning slightly as Pluto is going retrograde until 20^th September. For you Capricorn, the bulk of this energy is still concentrated around your home, your family life, your emotions and your past. A lot is going on behind the scenes and in your inner life at the moment as you contemplate where you are heading next in your life. The lunar eclipse at the end of April rings in a time of powerful change, transformation and a turning point for many Capricorns when it comes to where you put up tent, with whom and how you will fill your days once you’re there! Added to that is the feeling that something’s boiling away underneath the surface as the way you think and move through your daily life is changing.

So, during the beginning of May, you should certainly get the feeling of new beginnings and progress hovering over the horizon where your living situation as well as your career and profession is concerned. Capricorns, alongside the other cardinal signs, are undergoing some of the more fundamental changes and in your case, these two areas in your life are affected the most – in particular over the months of April and May where the first waves of the Tsunami hit your shores. For the first week in May, the stellium in Aries promises a lot of quick action and reaction, determination and hopefully progress around home and career. Although there may still be some obstacles and a lot of pushing and pulling in this area – perhaps you are still waiting for the signature on a house sale or a new job contract to finally land in your inbox - but as opposed to last month, the epiphany moment has arrived. You now know what needs to be done and what you’re dealing with rather than being faced with further, sudden developments that take you by surprise.

All of this is leading up to the solar eclipse this month which, in addition to another lunar eclipse on 25^th May, takes place on 10^th May and again, hits your axis of house & home and career & life direction. A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon stands between the Sun and Earth. This means that a solar eclipse is always a new Moon, marking new beginnings. However, a new Moon also cuts off the light of the Sun, so whatever is beginning now, may not carry all the details that you need to make informed decisions and really understand what it is that is coming into your life now. As with the lunar eclipse, solar eclipses bring in life’s big events – a marriage or divorce, birth or pregnancy, a house sale or purchase or an important trip. In your case, you may decide to put your house on the market, or refurbish it before you rent it out but in any case, things are progressing swiftly as the planets are intent on pushing you towards your next step. Although this also means that something has to end before something new can come in, the emphasis really is more on the beginning than the finish this time around – you should have already done the clearing up and finishing with the lunar eclipse at the end of April. Whatever is beginning now could be phased in over a period of months and you should expect to reap the rewards of the seeds sown around the time of the next lunar eclipse in October and until February 2014 when you will reach another milestone.

This solar eclipse is in the nakshatra of Bharani, ruled by the Venus, which will be transiting through her own sign of Taurus. The nakshatra of Bharani has an understanding and a sixth sense for the acquisition of accrued wealth but this nakshatra also represents the person who ‘carries and bears’. So, although new opportunities appear, it could at the same time result in more responsibility.

And then it’s time to have fun! You’re in a long(ish) process of getting rid of old emotional baggage and the last weeks may have presented some particular ‘highlights’ in this area. Now, your own personal spring time arrives and you’re in the mood for some fun and romance as Mercury, Venus and Jupiter are all conjunct in this area in your chart. From around mid-month onwards should really be a beautiful time and some quite ‘solid’ could be built now.

The next culmination point of your activated love life is the lunar eclipse on 25^th May. Lunar eclipses are full Moons, so they bring things to an end and a conclusion and all the cards are on the table. But not only that, you can look at the like a switch, something moves from one thing to the next so if you have been looking for some time, you could now find yourself wrapped up in a new romance quite swiftly. Your friends and wider circle of acquaintances could be the key for you finding love this month. However, with Neptune, the planet of illusion, interfering momentarily, you’d do well not to jump head in first and ignore potential warning signs.
