Maria Clara Eimmart, Aspect of Saturn |
Initially, however, Saturn in the 7th house has to overcome some inhibitions when it comes to The Other – not necessarily other people in general such as groups of friends and work colleagues but the other person we interact with on an intimate or simply a one-to-one level. Someone with Saturn in the 7th house needs to trust to open up to the other person. Throughout this time, Saturn in the 7th house ensures that a person is faced with numerous endurance tests of loyalty in relationships!
Once a person with this Saturn placement realises that endurance tests and relationship challenges more often than not have to do with negative expectations rather than reality, a certain kind of wisdom and neutral state of mind, often a change in attitude, or at the very least acceptance sets in. In fact, acceptance is one of the key lessons of Saturn.
So, once married, this Saturn will try and remain married even if the partner is experienced as oppressive. And despite feeling a little under the thumb, this person will do almost anything to fulfil marital duties and responsibilities – after all, a marriage contract is a contract.
Saturn is also known for resisting change and interestingly, in the 7th house although the partner may appear older than his years, as times passes, the same partner appears younger as his look and behaviour tends to remain the same over time!
Depending on the sign and house ruler, someone with Saturn in the 7th house may feel quite uncomfortable in his own skin due to Saturn’s aspect to the 1st house of self and the physical body.
