Annual solar horoscope 2014 / 2015 - Libra

Happy birthday Libra! Already, the start of your new solar year will feel a lot different compared to the past year as Saturn, the great taskmaster is preparing to leave your sign in November. Who you are now is fundamentally different from who you were and how you appeared to other people only two years ago. Some of you went through relationship break-ups, moved home and asked yourself questions like Who am I, Who do I want to be or What can I not tolerate anymore? As painful as some of those realisations were at the time, a new feeling of ‘centred-ness’ is descending on you, a new sense of self – for some with more responsibility and a sense of ‘maturity’ but with a very solid understanding of who you are. Well done! 

Now that Saturn, who taught you so many lessons in the past two years, is moving on and into the next sign of Scorpio, the focus is all about money. This is a gainful placement for you and for a lot of Libras, it’s connected to house and home. Some may sell, buy, move, renovate or rent out your spare room(s) – you’ll either save for that or you’ll be able to make a few £s, $s or €s from your property! If you are of an age where education plays a role or if you are finishing up a further education course, then the coming years are the ones where you begin to see the fruits of that labour and the hard work you’ve put into learning.

With Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion in the area of your chart to do with your life direction and career, you’ll also want to expand your horizons – quite literally – in your career. Many Libras are likely to travel more than usual for work, meeting new people and making new contacts. That’s great and will certainly help you with Saturn ruling with an iron fist over your finances at times. This is a peak time and a very active period to do with goal setting and achieving as well as you moving into the direction you want to move into – exciting stuff. If you are thinking about moving house, then again, Jupiter will help you out and the turn of the year as well as July and August 2015 look like one of the more active periods to tackle that particular matter.

Once Jupiter moves on in the summer of 2015, you’ll be surrounded by a completely new group of people and relationships take precedence once again.  Not that, as a Libra, you are unpopular anyway, but from next summer, your popularity soars to an almost all-time high – great for meeting a special someone (new). This is an overall very optimistic time with lots of social invites, lots of new and old friends around as well as a partner who proves to be both financially and emotionally supportive. Plus, after a year of travelling and working that little bit harder for your bucks, it’s paybacks time!

Now, underneath it all is Rahu or the North node in an area that has a lot to do with working behind the scenes, being withdrawn, preparing and – quite possibly – spending some time abroad, as the privileged foreigner. As it seems, this has to do with work, you somehow expanding your horizons as you reach for the stars and you learning something  new in the process that you can pass on to others. In other words, you could turn into the teacher or the mentor to others and helping others overcome some their challenges. This stands in slight contrast to all this other stuff going on at work, in your world and around your finances – these areas are very tangible, hands-on and visible to you and others. Something is happening underneath the surface that touches you on a spiritual level and gets under your skin – maybe after all those years of perceived standstill, being pushed back out into the world initially comes as a bit of a shock and it takes time to get used to that and all those new impressions and people on your world travels will be leaving their mark…sounds exciting!
