Scorpio, Mars is in your own sign, turning on
your sex appeal and making sure everyone, and I mean everyone gets a taste of
your assertive nature. This can be a busy and even stressful time for you when
you are so much in demand, when your physical presence is required! In any
case, it’s an energetic time and with Jupiter in a good angle to your sign
these days, it’s also an optimistic time and expansive time. For single
Scorpios, this is great time to make connections and let (a lot of) romance
into your life. Especially as the eclipse cycle hits your romance sector this
month.
The lunar eclipse on 8th October in Pisces and the area
of your chart to do with true love, romance, children and fun and brings things
to light here. Lunar eclipses are very potent full Moons and because of the opposition of
the Sun and Moon, are relationship-oriented. The full Moon brings things to
light and with an eclipse, may involve some sort of a crisis. It's a time when
a need or want becomes so intense, you can't ignore it. This can come from
within yourself or from external sources - most likely a partner. If you are
single, then the gap in your life due to a lack of a relationship, makes it
presence felt - if a partnership is indeed what you want. Uranus is involved in
the eclipse, so things you've been feeling, thoughts you've had come bubbling
up to the surface. Thoughts and feelings that you've started to be aware of at
the turn of the year and throughout January 2014. In your case, again, it has
to do with children, creativity and self-expression but also any speculative
ventures that require a certain amount of risk. For some Scorpios, this lunar
eclipse also brings some sudden changes into your work life but more on the positive
side with an award, an accolade or a promotion coming your way. Although Mercury going backwards in the sky from 5th to 25th October 2014 and discussions
about promotions, announcements and long-term projects require some going back
and forth, it’ll be a somewhat frustrating but necessary exercise. You’ll be
going over old ground until the end of October but at the same time, you’ll
discover aspects you hadn’t noticed before. With Uranus in opposition, these
new bits of information and detail could spring out of the ground quite
suddenly – these ‘bits of information’ are around groups of friends, projects,
group involvements, joint finances, profits and for some, discussions about
family money with mostly older siblings.
This cycle is in the naksahtra of Revati, ruled by Mercury.
Some of the meanings of Revati are the Shining One, the Protector of Herds and
Wealth and the one descended from a wealthy family. So, Revati is a Shining
Light who shows the Path to others. Although part of the eclipse, this full
Moon is considered a rather lucky one where we are able to move freely from one
mental engagement to the next, like a monkey with long agile arms swinging from
one tree branch to the next. This is particularly good for all creative things
you want to build, work on, produce and handle, put down on paper or even dream
about.
The new Moon on 23rd October in the area of your
chart to do with intuition, dreams and working behind the scenes really is a
wave goodbye to Saturn and in your case also a final realisation or a final
letting go. Over the past two and half years, you had to learn to let go of
something, someone or certain behaviour patterns but the realisation only crept
up on your slowly. Saturn leaves this area of your chart next month not to return
for another 29 - 30 years and will leave you with just this realisation of what
it is you need to change about yourself, your attitude and expectations – this
will be your job for the next two and a half years from next month onwards
impacting your relationships, yourself and your home life. As unwelcome as it
sounds, it’ll be a necessary experience and ultimately rewarding process. Have a great month, Scorpio!
