Taurus, the big news of course is that the lunar eclipse on
8th October in Pisces hits the area of your chart to do with friends, hopes and
dreams, wishes, profits – so to an extent your finances. At the other end of
this eclipse is the Sun in Virgo in your 5th house of children, romance, fun
and all kinds of creative projects and risky speculations. Over the coming year
and more, this part of your life will be hugely exciting and subject to a
number of changes. Lunar eclipses are very potent full Moons and because of the
opposition of the Sun and Moon, are relationship-oriented. The full Moon brings
things to light and with an eclipse, may involve some sort of a crisis. It's a
time when a need or want becomes so intense, you can't ignore it. This can come
from within yourself or from external sources - most likely a partner. If you
are single, then the gap in your life due to a lack of a relationship, makes it
presence felt - if a partnership is indeed what you want. Uranus is involved in
the eclipse, so things you've been feeling, thoughts you've had come bubbling
up to the surface. Thoughts and feelings that you've started to be aware of at
the turn of the year and throughout January 2014. In your case, the Moon, as
the ruler of the part to do with communication, ideas and your own efforts,
involved in this eclipse, you may suddenly turn into an excellent networker,
who motivates others and almost nurtures them to success. So if you are
involved with group, causes, fundraising activities, then great and you may
come up with the most innovative ideas to raise funds or make a profit. But at
the other end of this eclipse is your ruler Venus, in the house of children and
romance, so certainly this will be a focus and subject to a bit of a shake-up
over the course of October. Added to that is that your relationship zone is
spiced up, energised and activated. If you are single, then this month is huge
for relationships – you’re keen to get out there, mingle and let off some of
that pent up energy. If you are coupled up, then watch your partner become more
amorous by the day or, equally, fly off the handle more easily. It might be
your partner, but it might also be you provoking the heated debates.
This cycle is in the naksahtra of Revati, ruled by Mercury.
Some of the meanings of Revati are the Shining One, the Protector of Herds and
Wealth and the one descended from a wealthy family. So, Revati is a Shining
Light who shows the Path to others. Although part of the eclipse, this full
Moon is considered a rather lucky one where we are able to move freely from one
mental engagement to the next. This is great for all those moments when you
have to give a presentation or present yourself for example during a shop
interview.
One stumbling block is that Mercury is going backwards in
the sky from 5th to 25th October 2014. Mercury makes sure you ask the right
questions when it comes to romance, partners and to do with children, but you
will have to revise certain bits of information again and again before you gain
enough clarity. On the other hand, this lunar eclipse can be a real aha moment
for you – you suddenly see the context and begin to process certain pieces of
information. Mercury also rules your finances, so your money, income and
possessions are also affected.
The new Moon on 23rd October in the area of your chart to
do with health and hard work, daily routines and a certain amount of conflict
really is a wave goodbye to Saturn. Saturn leaves this area of your chart next
month not to return for another 29 - 30 years and taught you how to be more
disciplined in some ways to do with your health and your daily routines. And
just as well, November will be one of the most important relationship months in
years and so will the months after as Saturn enters this sign to teach you
lessons about commitment and compromise. This is great news for singles and
those coupled up alike…you’ll see. Have great month, Taurus!
