Aries, the main areas where you should see progress and forward movement and where you can see possibility instead of obstacles again is around your relationships and career. You’ve had Saturn in your 7^th house of committed relationships for the last nine months or so and in July, as Saturn resumes forward motion, you will recognise how far you’ve come in terms of understanding what you can and will tolerate in relationships and what you have no patience for anymore. Often in Western astrology, Saturn in opposition is considered more of a negative aspect and I tend to agree as you are being asked to peel away a lot of layers you’ve covered yourself with so far and a lot of what you’ve known starts dissolving – if it serves no purpose anymore. Saturn in opposition can feel like one of life’s harshest lessons and for some it may be, however, and this is where Vedic astrology does it better, Saturn is exalted in the sign of Libra and in opposition means he occupies an angle from your own sign – and this brings great results after some time of testing, letting go and realisation. This is an important maturing process for you where good relationships become better and unstable ones go out of the window. While this primarily affects business and personal relationships, it also impacts your friendships – anyone you are in a one-to-one relationship with. You want commitment and loyalty now and you have little patience with those that don’t have the same standards and levels of reliability and fairness as you do these days. Still, you need to be careful not to become too rigid with everyone – people may have good reason for not following your strict agenda always and constantly.

In any case, this is a positive time for relationships whether you are single or coupled – this area in your life is an important focal point this year. Jupiter, the planet of expansion, optimism and opportunity, is now transiting through your 3^rd house of communication also comes to the rescue providing you with a solution to some of the obstacles you may have faced or even tackled head on since Saturn’s arrival in your partnership sector. Jupiter introduces a little bit of ease and optimism which may have been lacking over the past six months. Jupiter is also in your communication sector alongside the Sun, Mercury and Mars so you will not be afraid to speak up and discuss what needs to be discussed with your sweetie. Equally, if you are single, then this is the time to sign up for some online dating, go speed dating or a friend might introduce you to someone you click with. The 3^rd house is also the house of new contacts and with Jupiter here for another year, the chances are that your social life remains red hot for the foreseeable future.

Now, Saturn is also the ruler of your houses of career and profits and so coming out of his retrograde motion also has a really positive impact on these areas. Again, although Saturn is in a square angle (90 degrees) there may be a lot of hard work and patience required in this area too but ultimately, this is a stabilising aspect.

This is a positive placement to obtain a prominent role through diplomatic relationships that serve the needs of all involved. It’s not what you know, it’s who you know these days as you are busy networking to enhance your career prospects or make use of existing ones - think Dawn Draper in Mad Men and you get the idea. Saturn in this position enhances your reputation as someone who works hard and who is keen to build harmonious relationships with co-workers and those in charge. At the same time, you are turning into the top deal-maker, you have enough charm but at the same time, you keep your feet on the ground and don’t promise what you can’t deliver. This is a winning combination and this month, you could become the top sales guy or woman in your organisation and there is no boss in the world who doesn’t like the sound of that.

It’s the new Moon on 7^th July in Gemini that helps unlock all of the potential promised by this month’s stars. The new Moon happens in your house of communication, team meetings and teamwork, short-distance travels, media, writing and publishing so you’ll be busy developing new ideas, networking and making new contacts. It’s the area of your chart to do with boldness and courage, so whatever idea is still brewing in your head, you won’t think twice about taking the opportunity to implement your brainchild when the time is right.

Also, this new Moon is in the nakshatra of Ardra, ruled by Rahu. This is the nakshtra of the wild one and the risk-taker. It is a somewhat shrewd placement where we communicate with wild force to elevate ourselves. The ruler of this nakshatra is currently in your 7^th house, so there may be an element of others presenting themselves in a better light for a couple of weeks or you may suddenly develop the urge to do so in business meetings or your day to day relationships.

Then, for the next year, the square between Uranus and Pluto turns into a T-square as Jupiter is now also part of the picture. For you, Aries, ALL your area of thinking, perceiving, learning, dreaming, the mind, your attitudes and opinions, the way you communicate and write is under some pressure or will change in some profound way. Over this coming year, as your thought processes continue to change, and in particular in July, you may be coming across some ‘Aha, I get it now’ moments. Your thought processes are changing and the consequence of all of this are more wisdom, truth and understanding what the bigger picture in your own life looks like.

Towards the end of the month, the full Moon on 22^nd July 2013 in Capricorn in your house of home introduces a slight shift in focus. Do I stay or do I go will be the important question as July turns into August. The same goes for your job and career at the end of the month – it’s time to make a decision.
