March 2014 horoscope - Taurus

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the monthly solar horoscope for birthdays from 16^th May to 15^th June of Taurus Ascendants and Moons

For many Taureans daily routines and work have become a source of stress and have perhaps also affected your wellbeing over the past year or two. As a result or due to other incidences at and around work, you have been thinking about doing something more creative with your time, something where you can apply your intuitive skills and your counselling abilities (many Taureans are good listeners). Of course the money has to be right too and the good news is that March is a month where you can make some real progress in this area if you wish. A lot is happening in your money houses, around your business associates and acquaintances who these days are more eccentric than they used to be in the past. March is a month where you are very ‘visible’, you get noticed by the right people and if you have been rethinking some business idea or if you have been waiting for investors to come forth and people to couple up with to launch your money spinning ideas, March is a time when things can start falling into place. If you are not so keen on the idea of being self-employed, then this is also a good time to apply for a new position and one where your ability to help others is recognised and required. This is the stuff that makes you feel good these days and the kind of area where you are most suited to. Regardless of your chosen profession though, you certainly have the ability to attract money to you now - in particular as Jupiter, the planet of abundance, is going forward again in the area of your chart to do with income after a five month retrograde period. For some Taureans that have a steady job, additional income sources could also be from family and business or romantic partners. 

 

Generally speaking, from an astrological perspective, March is an exciting month with Jupiter, the planet of luck and abundance moving forward on 7th March, Saturn and Mars going retrograde for quite some time and two new Moons in the same month. The first of the two takes place on 1st March in Aquarius and in the area of your chart to do with career, allowing for a new start in this area or a new cycle, a new layer that’s being added to your life direction. There is a lot of discussion going on not only around creative projects, planning, budgets and financing but also around your role in all of this and your remuneration. Although a lot of Teaureans would rather go on a holiday now, work is busy this month! Taureans that are not working may now focus on their home life more than usual. 

 

As you prepare for one of the most important relationship lessons of your life (probably) which starts later in the year and goes on for 2 ½ years, matters of romance and light-hearted fun become more pressing issues over the next weeks and months. First through the full Moon on 16th March in Virgo that puts the spotlight on this area of your chart. Although there have been and will be full Moon with a lot more impact than this one, of course it puts the focus on a certain point in your chart. So yes, romance is highlighted and things could develop quite suddenly but in particular in your case this full Moon can be a time when you complete a writing or literature project or perhaps a teaching course.

This full Moon is in the nakshatra of Hasta and is ruled by the Moon. According to ancient astrology, this nakshatra has the power to manifest what one seeks and is a placement of healing through the hands but also through the mind, i.e. our intellect. As this nakashatra is ruled by the Moon, we’re also trying to protect what we have and those we love avoiding any unnecessary disruption and risk at all cost. It may be that romantic interests and some light hearted fun are particularly healing at the moment, so enjoy! It’ll all get a lot more serious towards the end of the year and into next.

Secondly, Mars, the planet of action, goes retrograde on 2nd March until 20th May and also enters your house of romance, fun and children. Your partner or the one you enter into a relationship with is now the one that s a source of joy – although a little argumentative at times, he or she is the one distracting you from an increasingly heavy work schedule over the next few weeks.
