April 2013 horoscope - Aquarius

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the Aquarius monthly horoscope for birthdays from 13^th February to 14^th March or Aquarius Ascendants and Moons

Aquarius, you start off April with an intense last quarter Moon on the 3^rdthat comes arm in arm with Pluto in your house of gains, friends, networks, large groups as well as your hopes and dreams. This can be a time of returns and reviews as well as a time of harvest. So this means that a pay check for a job well done can be in the post to you or a long-term project you've been working on is finally coming to a close. It can also mean that if you are self-employed, your client base maybe expanding - perhaps even globally via the net or connected to technology in some other way. Maybe you have been working on something with your friends, organising a social event, perhaps a wedding, and you are now in the final phase of the process. This is because this Moon phase is also connected to last year’s full Moon in early July 2012 so think about what happened then. It’s typically a very busy time where you finish up things from the past (approximately) two years.

At the same time, it is likely that your friendships and the kind of people you connect undergoing some transformation as it's likely that you are moving towards more profound friendships and associations. This is also quite a powerful time during which you can ultimately benefit enormously from friendships, both spiritually and even financially.

Generally speaking, the first 10 days in April have a big money focus. Your income is in the spotlight and the more I look at your chart, the more I feel that a nice little sum of money should be coming your way. Jupiter, the planet of growth, opportunity and expansion rules the areas in your chart to do with your finances and gains. Currently, this beneficial planet is in your house of home and property – so, the maths are simple, if you are planning to sell or invest in a property take the opportunity while it's so perfectly put under your nose. 

The best time to put your feelers out is around the time of the new Moon on 10^th April. Ruled by the nakshatra of Rivati, this new Moon, on the one hand, has very gentle qualities aimed at spiritual enlightenment and intuitive understanding of how the world works. But on the other hand, this new Moon is also square Pluto, the planet of transformation and Uranus, the planet of all things sudden. While all the opportunities to bolster your income are there, be careful of sudden and unexpected developments around this time - just for a couple of days, don't splash out on the items you later regret buying (so keep the receipts!). It can be a bit of a volatile energy so if you are having to make financial decisions, wait until a few days after the new Moon for more clarity.

April 2013 is also one of the more intense months of the year as we are gearing up to the lunar eclipse on 25^th April – one of 5 eclipses this year hitting your area of thinking, your mind, learning, new ideas, inspiration, short-term travel, short-term projects as well as siblings. The lunar eclipse is a full Moon and as with all full Moons, our emotions are heightened and we react from the heart rather than the head so these times are often also marked with changes in relationships as they affect our emotional affairs. However, tied into an eclipse, this might be a time of powerful change, transformation and a turning point for many Aquarians. In recent years, I started paying very close attention to the eclipses am now convinced that that these times often marks endings or culmination and turning points, they are the wild cards of the transits, the bonus cards or the lottery wins. They shake us up so that we can move from one level of evolution and maturity to another, higher phase, fairly rapidly. While, occasionally, a lunar eclipse can have to do with a change in career or place of work, depending on where it falls in your chart, lunar eclipses tend to bring with them the encounters that change our lives. They bring along those monumental break-ups, make-ups or general changes in status. Whatever it may be, they often signify a point of no return when we are asked to simply move forward in our lives with new insights and intent. These times are often major catalysts in our life that provide the fuel for huge transformations.  For you Aquarius, I think this mainly has to do with the way you think. This eclipse cycle is not a hugely tangible one for you - I feel - but one that breaks up outdated ways of thinking that makes you open to new ideas, plans and projects that in the years to come could prove very fruitful. As an Aquarius, you are quick to make up your mind but over the course of this year, you may have to learn to be more flexible in the way you think and consider what you believe in. This also includes reviewing who and what you believe in.
