April 2013 horoscope - Libra

April begins with an intense last quarter Moon that comes arm in arm with Pluto in your house of short-distance travel, communication, short-term projects, younger siblings and your immediate environment. So, these early April 2013 days can be a time of returns and reviews as well as a time of harvest. This means that you could bring a certain work project to an end or if you have undertaken a course to further your skills, you could now put the final full stop to your course work. With Pluto in the mix, the end result could be quite transformative in some way. Despite the numerous meanings and levels represented by the area Pluto is transiting, I feel that this probably primarily has to do with your work or a project at work. Even if you have undertaken a course to strengthen certain skills, it is likely to benefit you in your area of work. This Moon phase is connected to last year’s full Moon in early July so think about what happened then. It’s typically a very busy time where you finish up things from the past.

 

Generally, the first 10 days in April show a focus on your work, what's going on there and among your colleagues. It may be quite a busy period for you with a lot of hustle and bustle. During this time it's important to keep up with your fitness regime and keep an eye on your health and make sure you don't get stressed unnecessarily, so take regular breaks and don't let temporary demands of the job get to you. The new Moon on 10^th April is then a new beginning in this area of your chart. Ruled by the nakshatra of Rivati, this new Moon, on the one hand, has very gentle qualities aimed at spiritual enlightenment and intuitive understanding of how the world works. But on the other hand, this new Moon is also square Pluto so be careful of overly dominant work colleagues or manipulation in the work place - the same, of course, goes for you, watch out not to come across as too imposing on others during this time. 

 

Having said all that, after mid-month, you'll know what April 2013 is really about. Whatever demands you're boss or your health have put on you fade into the background as we are gearing up to the lunar eclipse on 25^th April. This month is one of the more intense months of 2013 and the April full Moon is one of 5 eclipses this year hitting your axis of self and committed relationships. As Libras are undergoing one of more significant - and in all likelihood also one of the more difficult times - of their lives, this lunar eclipse as well as those that follow later on in the year, could turn out to be one of those periods in time you will always remember. As with all full Moons, our emotions are heightened and we react from the heart rather than the head so these times are often also marked with changes in relationships as they affect our emotional affairs. However, tied into an eclipse, it might be time of powerful change, transformation and a turning point for many Libras. In recent years, I started paying very close attention to the eclipses am now convinced that that these times often marks endings or culmination and turning points, they are the wild cards of the transits, the bonus cards and the lottery wins. They shake us up so that we can move from one level of evolution and maturity to another, higher phase, fairly rapidly. While, occasionally, a lunar eclipse can have to do with a change in career or place of work, depending on where it falls in your chart, lunar eclipses tend to bring with them the encounters that change our lives. They bring along those monumental break-ups, make-ups or general changes in status. Whatever it may be, they often signify the point of no return when we are asked to simply move forward in our lives. These times are often major catalysts in our life that provide the fuel for huge transformations. For you Libra, the focus is on you and your relationships and the questions you'll be asking yourself will be around how the new and evolving you still fits into existing relationships and to what extent and in what shape your most committed partnerships still match your current needs and aspirations. This is particularly the case if your Ascendant or Moon is at around 12 degrees of Libra or if you were born at the end of October or early November. Who you are and what you want from a relationship is changing and this lunar eclipse can mark the next significant step in your partnership - and this also includes potential break-ups. Emotions are running high at this time and with Mars, the planet of aggression in the mix, you are quick to react - and so is you partner. You have been warned, so make sure to take you time when it comes to making important partnership decisions! Equally, if you have been dating or are on the look-out, then the end of April can signify a change in status and you finally decide to commit to one particular person and a love affair can turn into one of the more significant relationships now. Also, the more important encounters can take place now. 

 

If your Moon is in Libra, this year and especially the times around the eclipses, can be emotionally charged and whenever the Moon is involved, there may be levels of insecurity and fear involved. Libra Moons are undergoing an emotional maturing process where you get rid of outdated feelings such as guilt and unnecessary anxieties and this could come to a peak now. One of the manifestations could potentially be a house move to a place that better suits your needs and which, over time, can make you feel more secure again. In some cases, this transit can also bring up questions of nurturing, how you were looked after, how you nurture others and yourself today and this, on a different level, can involve questions about the relationship you have with your mother. 

 

Libra, as you continue moving through the 2 ½ years of Saturn transiting over your Sun, Moon or Ascendant, April 2013 is one of the more important months where you can make significant progress and reach important milestones. These may initially cause some upheaval but are all part of a hugely important time in your life.
