Leo, money, loans, inheritance, tax and your partner’s
resources may have been on your mind over these past weeks and the trend
continues for just a little longer before you can let out a sigh of relief. The
full Moon at the end of March may have brought a (financial) situation to a
close – perhaps you or your partner have been applying for a loan and now know
where you stand. Alternatively, you may have felt a little anxious at times,
perhaps even restless and questions around what it is you are actually worried
about could have played on your mind. Intimacy and getting closer to the one
your love could also have feature and still be on your mind now. This trend
continues just that little bit longer but what’s added to the planetary
movements now is that we start off April with an intense last quarter Moon that
comes arm in arm with Pluto, the planet of transformation. For you, this is in
your house of creativity, children, fun and romance and it is connected to last
year’s full Moon in early July 2012. This about what happened then as the
current time period can be one of returns and reviews but also a time of
harvest. So think about what happened then as this Moon phase is typically a
very busy time where you finish up things from the past.
Especially for Leo Ascendants, this could be
connected, one the one hand, to your responsibilities towards your children,
your creative projects, love interests and whatever else it is that allows you
to express yourself freely and without any limits. It could be connected to
your hobbies and what you do in your spare time. One the other end of scale is
what you do out there, in the world – it is connected to your friends,
acquaintances, business contacts and networks as well as your gains and profits
from your profession and other undertakings. It could have been that a
long-term project you had been working on had reached an important milestone in
July 2012, a romance could have started or moved on to another level, perhaps
you received a bonus then or something shifted within your group of friends. In
any case, I feel that finances and money are part of the picture now in early
April, including your responsibility towards children if you have any, or projects
that require some funding. There may be a sense of urgency attached to these
early April 2013 days to cross the t’s and dot the i’s but there is also a
sense of pride or perhaps even relief that you are able to move forward or
complete this particular task or project.
So, the first 10 days in April are still a more
introspective period where you try and strengthen or sort out your finances. If
you do need to apply for a loan then the new Moon on 10th April
in this area of your chart promises a new start. It is ruled by the nakshatra
of Rivati, and on the one hand, this new Moon has very gentle qualities aimed
at spiritual enlightenment and intuitive understanding of how the world works but
on the other hand, this new Moon is also square Pluto. In a square aspect, this
time period may also pose some temporary challenges but Pluto transforms
whatever he touches, so if you do apply for funding, it may prove to bring with
is some fairly substantial transformation into your life. Equally, if you do
have children, then it may be them that cause the transformation in this area
in your life.
Having said all that, at the same time, there is also
a bigger focus on the deeper level of your personality at the moment. With
Pluto in a square with Uranus, the planet of suddenness, movement can be unexpected
and swift but fears and anxieties can also erupt seemingly out of nowhere. Some
Leo’s may decide that the unsettling feeling they have been carrying around
with them for some time now should be discussed openly with friends or by
seeking professional help. This is a cycle of death and re-birth and is
connected to you deepest inner world, your feelings on one level but on another
also to your financial stability as well as that of your partner.
Then, one by one, planets move into a more outgoing and
somewhat carefree area in your chart connected to travelling, higher education,
religion, spirituality and teaching. This is an area that remains under the
spotlight for you for the next 1 ½ years as you decide that what you’ve learnt
and experienced so far is all very well but there is a lot more to learn and
see than that. The world is a big place and as we are gearing up to the first
of five lunar eclipses this year on 25th April, the world seems to be your oyster and perhaps
you decide to pack your suitcase, get on that place, meet some new people or
sign up for a new course.
Generally speaking, lunar eclipses are full Moons and
as with all full Moons, our emotions are heightened and we react from the heart
rather than the head. So these times are often also marked with changes in
relationships as they affect our emotional affairs and it can be a time of
powerful change, transformation and a turning point by the areas touched by the
North and South nodes or Rahu and Ketu. In recent years, I started paying very
close attention to the eclipses am now convinced that that these times often
marks endings or culmination and turning points, they are the wild cards of the
transits, the bonus cards and the lottery wins. They shake us up so that we can
move from one level of evolution and maturity to another, higher phase, fairly
rapidly. While, occasionally, a lunar eclipse can have to do with a change in
career or place of work, depending on where it falls in your chart, lunar
eclipses tend to bring with them the encounters that change our lives. They
bring along those monumental break-ups, make-ups or general changes
in status. Whatever it may be, they often signify
the point of no return when we are asked to simply move forward in our lives.
These times are often major catalysts in our life that provide the fuel for
huge transformations. For many of Leos this is a busy time both spiritually and
on a day to day level as you seek to expand what you currently know about the
world and integrate this into your daily life. Increased levels of
communication, with siblings, colleagues, neighbours and other people you bump
into on a daily basis and perhaps with people from a different background or
general internationally, are also part of this process. For some of you,
activities connected to writing, media communication, advertising, sales and
publishing can feature strongly. All of this over these coming months affects
the way you think and what you were always sure of is the status quo may soon
not be the case anymore.
