April 2013 horoscope - Taurus

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the April 2013 horoscope for birthdays from 16^th May to 15^th June of Taurus Ascendants and Moons

April begins with an intense last quarter Moon that comes arm in arm with Pluto in your house of shared resources, other people’s money, bank loans, inheritance, insurance and tax - wherever we need someone else’s support whether that’s financial or physical. This Moon phase is connected to last year’s full Moon in early July so think about what happened then. It’s typically a very busy time where you finish up things from the past with some returns and reviews as well as a harvest. For you, last year’s July full Moon could have been a time of plenty for your bank balance. As a Taurus, you like your account and purse to be full to the prim and perhaps you have initiated something back then that has been paying off or is starting to pay off handsomely. You still have Jupiter, the ruler of two of your money houses, going over your Ascendant so as you are changing and growing as a person, so are your money spinning ideas. Come the summer, these will well and truly bring a flood of opportunities to you to increase your bank balance. Some you will have to look at carefully and there may also be some letting go involved before the gains will be received but others will be simply yours for the taking. So whatever came to a peak and a conclusion around your finances back in July can bring your some rewards in these early April 2013 days.

Generally speaking, the first 10 days in April are still a time of you redefining your goals and hopes for the future as you are beginning to wind down your solar year. Not only that but it’s also a very social time packed with lots of networking, group activities, hobbies and generally spending some time with your friends. Over the past 9 months or so, your group of friends or business contacts may have expanded and become more international but this month and this month you could see some further, new additions to this group and potentially some from which you can benefit financially. This month in particular, there is a good chance of some extra income coming your way, not only from all your efforts over the past year but from activities, initiations, projects and perhaps simply from how you applied yourself in your job and if you are self-employed, as many Taurean Ascendants are, how you managed to expand your client base over these past weeks.

If you are still in the planning phase, about to launch a new service or product, then the new Moon on 10^th April in Pisces is a good time to start marketing. New Moons are new beginnings and this new Moon is ruled by the nakshatra of Rivati, so on the one hand, it has very gentle qualities aimed at spiritual enlightenment and intuitive understanding of how the world works, on the other hand, this new Moon is also square Pluto in your area of shared resources and finance. I take it this means that any new connections made or initiatives launched at this time, after a period of some temporary challenges, can have magnificent results in terms of your financial situation further down the line. Alternatively, this new Moon can simply be connected to your hope and your dreams so make sure to place your wish out there around the time of the new Moon but be aware of getting caught up in your fears and anxieties around the 10^th.

If you become clearer about your objectives and what you want to achieve over this next year early on in April, you will also understand what’s going later in the month as April 2013 is also one of the more intense months of the year. We are gearing up to the lunar eclipse on 25^th April – one of 5 eclipses this year hitting your area of health, daily routines and work on the one hand and one the other, your area of behind the scenes activities, intuition and everything spiritual. You are now completing a cycle and are asked to let go of outdated behaviour patterns, past hurts and limitations.

Lunar eclipses are full Moons and as with all full Moons, our emotions are heightened and we react from the heart rather than the head so these times are often also marked with changes in relationships as they affect our emotional affairs.  However, tied into an eclipse, it might be time of powerful change, transformation and a turning point for many of us. In recent years, I started paying very close attention to the eclipses am now convinced that that these times often marks endings or culmination and turning points, they are the wild cards of the transits, the bonus cards and the lottery wins. They shake us up so that we can move from one level of evolution and maturity to another, higher phase, fairly rapidly. While, occasionally, a lunar eclipse can have to do with a change in career or place of work, depending on where it falls in your chart, lunar eclipses tend to bring with them the encounters that change our lives. They bring along those monumental break-ups, make-ups or general changes in status. Whatever it may be, they often signify the point of no return when we are asked to simply move forward in our lives. These times are often major catalysts in our life that provide the fuel for huge transformations.  For you, Taurus, as you have grown and expanded (perhaps also physically!) over this past year, experienced so many new things and met so many new people, this eclipse is the end of a cycle and you can step off the pedal for a little while to meditate and explore your unconscious. You may need to spend some time alone now but the realisations you come to now could be remarkable. This can have a very positive impact on your relationships as well as your understanding of yourself.
