July 2013 horoscope - Virgo

Virgo, the past few months have been some of soul-searching and you trying to figure out what it’s all about. You may have felt a little but more withdrawn and at times even secretive about yourself as you evaluated your emotions and feelings that are undergoing such profound changes. On an external level, this could have resulted in a house move or refurbishment or a fresh approach to the relationship with your parents and in particular your mother. However, some of what you wanted to achieve may have been held back by a lack of funds as they too are being restructured. So, all in all, you may have felt as though your life is on hold a little bit but already at the end of June and especially in July, you’re making big strides into a new direction and the speed with which this is happening is picking up by the day.

First of all, your 10^th house of life direction is jam-packed with the Sun, Mars, Jupiter and your ruler Mercury transiting through this area together for the most of July. Although Mercury is still retrograde until 20^th July and, yes, you should double-check the details and read the small print, Mercury’s energy is, in fact, a lot stronger in retrograde motion and while there is some reviewing, re-thinking opportunities and redoing previously started or even finished tasks, you now physically and socially identify with your profession and your career. You are highly visible this month and perhaps even recognised for your dedication to your job. You will find that you are respected by both peers and those higher up the food chain. This not only has a beneficial impact on your career or the whole new path that you’ve finally decided to turn onto. Jupiter is a very beneficial planet for your sign, so over these coming 12 months and especially in July, you will find your public reputation moving up by a few notches and you will have that certain bird’s eye view that allows you look at your life from a broader perspective – if you choose to. With so much emphasis on the sign of Gemini, and your ruler retrograde, you could easily fall back into your default mode and criticise others and offers that land on your desk a little too readily.

Secondly, Saturn, the taskmaster, is moving direct again from 9^th July, lifting some of the pressure on your finances. You have had to tighten your belt over the past months as you may have felt the pinch or you decided to save for a deposit on a house. While you may still be saving now or you still don’t feel as though you have a penny to spare, you should be able to put thing into perspective now and realise that whatever has had an impact on your finances now, it would have been for the better as you for the calculator out and made a plan for a more solid financial future. After all, Saturn is exalted in Libra, so for some, there may also be a new job offering coming your way with a nice little pay package. You may also be travelling a little more now in your job or the one that lands on your desk – in any case, July won’t be a quite month for you. Jupiter is also at hand to support these kind of developments and adds to the busyness and the opportunities on offer, so you have plenty of reason to be optimistic.

In terms of romance and if you are single, over the next 12 months, you have the chance to meet a significant other at work. Equally, existing partnerships may take on a more stable note now.

The new Moon on 7^th July in Gemini is the best time of the month to start turning plans into reality or at the very least put pen to paper and start thinking about the changes you’d like to introduce and turn into reality before the full Moon in Gemini in six months’ time. These are mainly of a professional nature and ‘where you see yourself in five years’ time’. Also, this new Moon is in the nakshatra of Ardra, ruled by Rahu. This is the nakshtra of the wild one and the risk-taker. It is a somewhat shrewd placement where we communicate with wild force to elevate ourselves. The ruler of this nakshatra is currently in your 2^nd house of income together with Saturn, so you may be more inclined or you feel the urge more than usually to talk the talk, ensuring that the pay package you’ve been manifesting is yours and yours alone. 

While some of what you want to achieve or integrate into your life will also feel like a lot of hard work, there is a lot of planetary support around. For the next year, the square between Uranus and Pluto turns into a T-square as Jupiter is now also part of the picture. So, although there will also be some challenges or external pressures involved around house purchases and refurbishment, emotions, your past and career moves, this is nevertheless a very productive time. Perhaps there is a sense that almost nothing can now stop you from reaching your goals, if only you put your mind to it. A lot of the most successful people in the world have T-squares in their chart natally as this combination focuses their energies into a certain areas of life and although these aspects can be stressful, ultimately, they push you to bigger and better things. The only thing you need to do is make a decision – and for a mutable sign, this may exactly be where the challenge lies!

Towards the end of the month, the full Moon on 22^nd July 2013 in Capricorn in your house of fun, romances and children introduces a slight shift in focus and some of the pressure you’ve been feeling evaporates. Time to let your hair down a little, flirt and for some, quite literally, reap the rewards of all the hard work and excitement the month of July introduced.
