However, if you did indeed change job or decide to go it alone, the stellium in Gemini in your house of work – and health amongst other things – want you to keep your head down and concentrate on the task at hand. You may also be busy with property-related issues – and I say issues deliberately, as you may have to watch out for either miscommunication in relation to home and property-related situations or there may be some conflict at home you have to solve. Nothing that’s not manageable but don’t try and simply brush over it. It’s a busy start of the month for you so watch your stress levels!
The ongoing Grand Trine in air together with Saturn and Neptune connects the highest point in your chart with your finances and the area in your chart I just mentioned – your work. During times of Grand (air) Trines, we tend to be highly idealistic, we intellectualise situations and issues but we are also more social during this time. We formulate our ideas, develop connections and expanding on the mental faculties with greater ease. However, all of the airy Gemini energy opposes transformative Pluto, who, in your 12th house of behind the scenes has been changing your tracks over the past years as you digest and transform what, on the surface, has been the status quo. Your self-knowledge is deepening now and with Pluto in the mix too, we now have a Kite aspect. The influence of the Kite pattern is similar to Grand Trines but where a trine is easy and we might not even notice it if we don’t pay attention, the Kite motivates and opens up potential. The vocal point of the Kite is in Gemini, again, your 6th house of work and health. While you may not be able to avoid conflict, you will need to learn to deal with it in a productive way. By being aware of it and finding a solution or by being of service to others – helping those that can’t speak up for themselves. While this may sound abstract, even the smallest change in your routine can have far-reaching and long-lasting effects over time.
Mercury changes signs on 5th August 2013 and moves into Cancer just before the new Moon in the same sign on 6th August. This may be a welcome change from all the daily pressure as the focus shifts to your most committed relationships and your joint resources. A new Moon is a new cycle so this transit can manifest in a number of ways. You have had Jupiter going through the area of your chart to do with love and romance until late May 2013, so if you have met someone new, then this may the time to decide what’s the next stage in the relationship should look like. Whenever, the Moon is involved, it’s all about partnerships for you and the recent eclipses may have done their bit to help you leave the Old behind and look forward to the New. And the New is landing on your doorstep now. This goes for both singles and couples.
Equally, as the main focus for you was on work, work, work for so long where all you saw in front of you was the potential to make a few $s more – or you realised the acute lack of funds -, you may now decide that it’s better to join hands with a trusted friend who you can build your business with. You may now also need to rely on the advice of a lawyer or other mentor to provide some guidance.
Mars moves into the same house on 19th, bringing more stability into the relationship arena on the one hand, on the other, there is always the danger of quick fire reactions that you later regret. Partnerships take on quite an emotional tone now and much of how you handle this transit depends on your levels of maturity.
This new Moon is in the nakshatra of Aszlesa, ruled by Mercury. It’s the intimate connection and embrace. It’s where we find emotional strength to defeat your enemies. It’s also a time when we are emotionally needier than at others times and with Mercury, the ruler of this nakshatra in the same sign of Cancer, you or others in life may speak before they think and react to events more emotionally and even harshly with Saturn’s eye on this new Moon. If can, take a step back – for you Capricorn, this relates specifically to your relationships. I don’t think it’s a make-or-break time necessarily for you but discussions will be had and any sticking points will need to be resolved.
The full Moon on 21st August may help you along with any debates around joint finances, with loan applications and questions around tax. Although there can be some initial confusion around finances – for example, if you’ve got a new job, you are going back and forth negotiating the right pay – you should come to an agreement around this time. In any case, your financial situation, that of your partner or any joint resources may be undergoing some profound changes. For you, this full Moon can also expose some secrets in your existing relationship – only you know what that may be.
The month then ends with all planets, not counting Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, spreading out in six subsequent houses. Vedic astrology calls this Kal Sarp Yoga when all the planets are hemmed between Rahu and Ketu / the North node and the South node of the Moon. With this combination there is a rather deep and complex compulsion across the current axis of the nodes – Aries and Libra. So, the end of August seems to be a time where we do a lot of subconscious processing of the past, we’re more withdrawn as we work on unresolved emotions. Across the Aries and Libra axis, this pattern has the potential to help us grow beyond unhealthy relationship patterns and how we communicate and act in relationships. For you Capricorn, a lot of the focus is once more on your professional life, reputation and overall life direction versus your inner life, emotions, how you really feel as well as your home and your past. In some circumstances, the tensions or the focus rather may also have to do with your mother.
Have a great month, Capricorn!
