August 2013 horoscope - Pisces

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the August 2013 horoscope for birthdays from 15^th March to 13^th April or Pisces Ascendants and Moons

Pisces, we head into August with a stellium in Gemini that’s connected to the ongoing Grand Trine in air together with Saturn and Neptune. During these times, we tend to be highly idealistic, we intellectualise situations and issues but we are also more social during this time. We formulate our ideas, develop connections and expanding our mental faculties with greater ease. All of the airy Gemini energy opposes transformative Pluto, who, in your 10^th house of career and life direction has been changing your tracks over the past years including your home life, where you live with and with whom. With Pluto in the mix too, we now have a Kite aspect.

The influence of the Kite pattern is similar to Grand Trines but where a trine is easy and we might not even notice it if we don’t pay attention, the Kite motivates and opens up potential. The vocal point of the Kite is in Gemini, your 4^th house of house and home that comes under the spotlight. This has been ongoing for a number of weeks now and a lot may have changed and opportunities may have opened up since your ruler, Jupiter’s, arrival in this house. While previously, you contemplated your options and the new Moon on July 8^th unlocked the potential, Mars in your 4^th house now really makes things happen. Mars is the ruler of your money house so anything connected to your home life is also connected to your financial situation. This of course means that a house sale or purchase could be on the cards or you simple set up your own little home office to roll in the cash from home. After all, authority figures have been a little testing over the past months for you as you are developing into a more freedom-loving creature. Your creativity and inspiration needs free reign and where better to do it than in your own four walls. 

Things could move quickly now due to square from Uranus in 1^st house but be aware of explosions of anger at home. Mars and Uranus in this aspect don’t necessarily make for a harmonious home life.

Mercury changes signs on 5^th August 2013 and moves into Cancer just before the new Moon in the same sign on 6^th August. It’s all about your creative endeavours now including romance, fun and children. It’s a new cycle in these areas and if you are single, you will want to go out, have a good time and flirt. You are less inhibited now and once Mars moves into the same house on 19^th, there is no holding back. You can now even make some money from your creative pursuits – perhaps based on the ideas that have been brewing and forming in your head during the stellium in Gemini.

What you have to watch out for is a delay in obtaining loans to get your venture off the ground or, if you are partnering up with someone, he may have difficulty coming up with the goods. Ultimately, however, this is a stabilising period once you’ve worked through the issues.

This new Moon is in the nakshatra of Aszlesa, ruled by Mercury. It’s the intimate connection and embrace. It’s where we find emotional strength to defeat your enemies. It’s also a time when we are emotionally needier than at others times and with Mercury, the ruler of this nakshatra in the same sign of Cancer, you or others in life may speak before they think and react to events more emotionally and even harshly with Saturn’s eye on this new Moon. If can, take a step back.

The full Moon on 21^st August is conjunct Neptune in your 12^th house and this is a time when work is getting busy, or generally, every day routines can take their toll. Equally, health matters may need to be looked after so around the 21^st, you may just want to be alone for a few days as you recharge your batteries by withdrawing into your own little world, meditating or even going away on holiday. As a Pisces, you might even enjoy this energy as it gives you free reign to day dream.

The month ends with all planets, not counting Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, spreading out in six subsequent houses. Vedic astrology calls this Kal Sarp Yoga when all the planets are hemmed between Rahu and Ketu or the Moon’s nodes. When you read about this yoga, I’m not surprised that some people get the fear of god when reading about this yoga. However, awareness always goes a long way and with this combination, there is a rather deep and complex compulsion across the axis of the nodes – Aries and Libra.

So, the end of August seems to be a time where we do a lot of subconscious processing of the past, we’re more withdrawn as we work on unresolved emotions. Across the Aries and Libra axis, there is a lot of growing beyond unhealthy relationship patterns and how we communicate in relationships. For you Pisces, this may ring especially true as you end August with Venus in your 7^th house of committed relationships. This will bring issues around communication and misunderstandings, potentially related to joint resources, to the fore.
