July 2014 horoscope - Aries

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the monthly solar horoscope for birthdays from 14th April to 15th May or Aries Ascendants or Moons

Aries, I was going to start by saying that you’ve had a lot of fun in the past few weeks with Venus in your second house of income, possessions and values and with Mercury and the Sun in your house of communication and connecting with others. But of course you’ve also had Saturn in opposition as well as Rahu / the North node who over the past two years or so have certainly not been fun and who, actually, could have made your life a bit of a misery. So, perhaps the fun was more ‘organised’ than usually J. In any case, Saturn is moving forward this month and after such a long time in your relationship zone, hopefully most of you are feeling a sense of relief, achievement and are seeing progress in this area. Your relationships have matured and so have your expectations around partnerships. If your partner has had some issues to deal with and has been feeling down and you had to pick up the pieces, then you should see a change in their attitude this month. Mars in your relationship sector from mid-month is a blessing and a curse. Things can heat up quite easily but if you are single and looking, then it’s full steam ahead. You’re in the mood not just for romance but for long-term commitment and Saturn in your partnership zone helps to balance things out and help you keep everything in perspective - whether coupled up or not. Saturn also prevents you from diving in head first without thinking about the consequences. If your relationship has felt stuck and as tough things aren’t moving forward, this is about to change and Mars actually gets things going now – good stuff.

Then, and I’ve already mentioned it in June when Jupiter moved into the sign of Cancer and into the area to do with your home and family. A move is on the cards for you guys – in theory to place that’s bigger and better than your current one. With Jupiter here, some Aries-natives (especially those with their Ascendant in Aries) might also move abroad for a while. You’re the adventurous type, so why not make the move together with you Sagittarius friend J. But anyway, the next big change this summer is that Rahu / the North node and Ketu / the South node are changing signs. Rahu and Ketu denote the points of intersection of the paths of the Sun and the Moon as they transit through the sky. Therefore, Rahu and Ketu are respectively called the North and the South nodes of the Moon. The eclipses occur when the Sun and the Moon are at one of these points. Wherever Rahu travels through denotes the area in the chart where the most change, disruption but ultimately growth happens. For the past 18 months, Rahu has brought unusual characters into your life, now it’s time to focus on your health and wellbeing. Nothing in your chart currently looks like you’re mega busy, in particular as Mars is moving out of your work zone but Rahu in this area of your chart wants to make sure you look after yourself properly. Ancient astrology considers this to be one of the most beneficial placements of Rahu – eliminating enemies and adverse conditions in this placement. As others around you complain, you are looking for a way forward to see how you can actually benefit from adversity and come out victorious – sneaky, no way, you’ve had your fair deal of challenges, you’ve just figured out ways to get around them.

The full Moon on 12th July together with Pluto is a bit of an intense one and brings things to a close – perhaps with a bang and concludes what began in January 2013 and what continued in October 2013. You’re not one of the signs that feels this full Moon in a negative way. But you may have some aha-moments, realisations and perhaps a bit of news to do with your house and home. This is a big focus for you anyway so it may be long-awaited news. Equally, travel is on the cards – time to get away into the sun!

This full Moon is in the nakshatra of Purvashada and is ruled by Venus. The meaning of this nakshatra is that of Early Victory and the invincible sea; wealth is said to be consistently high and this is generally a generous and positive Moon and gives a natural ability to organise and manage but with a tendency to jump to conclusions. Nevertheless, one that has an element of optimism and in your case for sure, a taste of the big wide world. Enjoy!
