July 2014 horoscope - Virgo

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the monthly solar horoscope for birthdays from 16th September to 15th October or Virgo Ascendants and Moons

Virgo, you have a big year ahead of you and not just because of Jupiter’s arrival in your friendship and money zone. Jupiter here will rush in a whole range of new people into your life, set up business with your partner or expand your current venture – people will want to know about your product and services. This is also a time to socialise and if you are currently unattached, you’re in a great position to change that over the coming months. Already, the new Moon at the end of the month rushes in invites and opportunities to mingle. Equally, this seems to be a period when job offers could land in your mailbox or you get called into your boss’ office to receive you well-deserved promotion – you certainly seem to be having these types of conversations. Mars is in your income sector, so financially, this can turn into a very rewarding month.

However, the next big push this summer is that Rahu / the North node and Ketu / the South node are changing signs. Rahu is moving into your own sign for the next 18 months. Rahu and Ketu denote the points of intersection of the paths of the Sun and the Moon as they transit through the sky. Therefore, Rahu and Ketu are respectively called the North and the South nodes of the Moon. The eclipses occur when the Sun and the Moon are at one of these points. Wherever Rahu travels through denotes the area in the chart where the most change, disruption but ultimately growth happens. For you, this is a hugely important time. You don’t usually want to be the centre of attention but this changes now. You come across as charismatic and convincing and you are able to highlight the many unique and positive traits that you have. Over the coming months, you seem to produce kind of a vibrant and contagious energy that make you stand out from the crowd. You want to be different now and you want to be recognised and awarded for it. In order for this newly found You to emerge, time needs to pass and the eclipse periods will put the pressure and spotlight on you to break away from old behaviour patterns and childhood habits. Needless to say that at the opposite end, i.e. in your relationship sector, there is much less of an emphasis on sticking together, making it work or even pursuing a partnership. This doesn’t mean you won’t find a mate or you leave your partner that you love very much. There just is much more of a focus on yourself now and how much independence you need from a relationship.

The full Moon on 12th July together with Pluto is a bit of an intense one and brings things at home to a close – perhaps with a bang and concludes what began in January 2013. Some of you may be selling their home at a profit or you are investing in a new home during this period. Equally, this full Moon can have something to do with your mother or your childhood home; something might be unearthed and coming to light. This full Moon is in the nakshatra of Purvashada and is ruled by Venus. The meaning of this nakshatra is that of Early Victory and the invincible sea; wealth is said to be consistently high and this is generally a generous and positive Moon and gives a natural ability to organise and manage but with a tendency to jump to conclusions. Nevertheless, one that has an element of optimism and a taste of the big wide world.

Annual and monthly horoscopes are very general so get in touch if you are interested in an individual chart reading. In readings, I use the Indian Dasha system in individual forecasts which is known for its accuracy. You can also follow me on Facebook, Twitter and Google +, see you there!
