Leo, during the first two weeks of the month, so much is
happening in your house behind the scenes, foreign places, retreat and
mediation that it might be difficult for you to concentrate, get your thoughts
straight to express yourself in your usual outgoing manner. Unusually for you,
you may even let others be the centre of attention for a change – if you are in
the Northern hemisphere, it seems like the heat is getting to you, ha! So that
to do when daydreaming becomes your favourite pastime? Exactly, take a
well-deserved holiday before the Sun enters your sign in mid-August. Take a
break, relax, be by the sea and enjoy what really is your time of the year.
Now, in reality, this of course doesn’t work for everyone
and with Mars in your third house of communication, short-distance travel,
marketing, sales, business, planning and scheduling, this looks to be a busy
time nonetheless. The emphasis on this area in your chart as well as the sign
of Cancer promises a lot of ‘movement’, a lot of travelling from A to B, a lot
of communicating with people from afar, at a distance and in or from foreign
countries. Some of you may be planning a trip, planning a work project –
perhaps your own little sideline business – and at the same time, you are
working on your marketing plans. Once the Sun is in your sign alongside the other
planets Mercury and Venus, you’re ready to launch, talk about your ideas and
reel in the first profits.
In romance, this can play out in a similar way. Leos these
days are in a romantic mood and where in the past weeks, perhaps you haven’t
been able to figure out what it is you are looking for, what the issue is in
one particular relationship or whether or not you have an issue with your
partner, things are becoming a bit clearer. Although Neptune, the planet that
pulls the wool over our eyes is still in opposition to your sign, at least you
are better able or willing to see things as they are and address anything
that’s not clear to you. If you are single, this can indeed be a very romantic
time for you. Mars in your communication sector ensure you find a way to put
yourself out there and connect with that handsome stranger you wouldn’t have
dared speak to before. The drive to join up is certainly there now – you are
indeed quite brave these days.
The full Moon on 10th August in Capricorn is a time
of completion. Cast your thoughts back to what happened or what you wished for
in November and February 2013 – now this particular situation is being closed
off, you’re done with it and you can move on. For some Leos, this time period
can, momentarily exaggerate the feelings of confusion and ambiguity that
Neptune in opposition to your sign and a full house of behind the scenes
activities can introduce. So, this time is best used to focus on your health
and how to avoid conflict at work, over finances, with family and generally
with those around you in your daily life.
This full Moon is in the
nakshatra of Uttara Ashada, ruled by the Sun. Under this nakshatra, we are calm
in the eye of the storm, we are able to detach ourselves and therefore maintain
a sense of independence that ensures we don’t let things get to us. Full Moons can always feel a
little intense – Mars is squaring the full Moon, putting us in danger or
overacting (again, sigh!!). Luckily enough that this nakshatra is a dignified
one and although the stellium in Cancer can make us a little needy, the
emotional side seems to be more grounded.
Ahead of the first eclipse in
September following the move into the Pisces / Virgo axis, Rahu / the North
node now opposes Uranus in Pisces. Eclipses alone introduce big changes but
with Uranus, the planet of sudden change involved in this particular eclipse
cycle, events over the coming weeks and months could be indeed life changing.
Be prepared for the unpredictable, life can now take an unexpected turn and you
discover where you truly belong. Generally speaking, this could involve meeting
new groups of people, an exciting new relationship, a change of career or
developing a new interest. It could also involve metaphysics, science,
environmental interests or technology. It’s a breakthrough time for sure and in
your case, it’s about money. Over the next
18 months, it’s your turn to get your finances in order and to work on a plan
to diversify and increase your earnings. Over the coming weeks, that particular
boat might start rocking slightly but only to put your focus onto what you’ve
probably ignored for some time.
The new Moon in Leo on 24th August is in your own sign and
will feel quite different from the weeks before then. It’s your annual new
beginning, it’s a fresh start where you’ll feel your usual outgoing self,
confident and full of energy. Money will be on the agenda, sure, but perhaps
this at the moment, more in the sense of you spoiling yourself a little on your
