Sagittarius, the emphasis on
your 8th and 11th houses in your chart this month carries with it themes of sudden changes
in your financial status, personal outlook and personal transformation. The
combined energies in your 8th house of unanticipated change, unplanned upheavals and
surprising revelations is a somewhat alien occurrence for you – the carefree
globetrotter. So while some changes look negative on the surface, you will soon realise that space is opening up in your life for
something new to come to the surface. Before then, this month, you may have to
go through some abrupt, sudden and unforeseen situations to do with your finances, your
partner’s money, loans, tax matters and general family money.
The full Moon on 10th August in Capricorn is a time
of completion around a certain financial situation. Cast your thoughts back to
what happened or what you wished for in November and February 2013 – now this
particular situation is being closed off, you’re done with it and you can move
on. In particular as Saturn, the ruler of your money house is moving forward
again, you should be getting closer and closer to what you had hoped to initiate
or progress in your life last year around these times. This full Moon is in the nakshatra of Uttara Ashada, ruled
by the Sun. Under this nakshatra, we are calm in the eye of the storm, we are
able to detach ourselves and therefore maintain a sense of independence that ensures we don’t let things
get to us. Full Moons can always feel a little intense – Mars is squaring the
full Moon, putting us in danger or overacting (again, sigh!!). Luckily enough
that this nakshatra is a dignified one and although the stellium in Cancer can
make us a little needy, the emotional side seems to be more grounded. But
again, you may have to go through a bit of turmoil before the storm settles.
Ahead of the first eclipse in
September following the move into the Pisces / Virgo axis, Rahu / the North
node now opposes Uranus in Pisces. Eclipses alone introduce big changes but
with Uranus, the planet of sudden change involved in this particular eclipse
cycle, events over the coming weeks and months could be indeed life changing. Be prepared for the unpredictable, life can now take an unexpected turn and you discover where you truly belong. Generally speaking, this could involve meeting new groups of people, an exciting
new relationship, a change of career or developing a new interest. It could also involve metaphysics, science,
environmental interests or technology.
It’s a breakthrough time for sure and in your case, in your career, social
position, reputation and future life direction. You’re on a mission to break
the glass (or class?) ceiling, you want to lead but in your own way, you want
to be the authority according to your own way of thinking and way of life. This
new attitude can make you want to break free from your current role and rise to
the top – for some Sagittarians, this can also mean a change in location.
Mercury in its own sign at the end of the month and in your career sector means
you’ll initiate the necessary discussion to introduce the changes you want to
see happening.
The new Moon in Leo on 24th August is then a time when
things get a bit more lighthearted. You’re less focused on what’s going on deep
down inside you and instead you concentrate on what you do and love best. It’s
all about travelling, discovering the world, talking about your world view and
exchanging ideas with others. This focus together with your ruler, Jupiter, in
the house of transformation, can quite easily bring with it a change of belief,
religious affiliation, a change in the relationship to your father and your
