During Jupiter retrograde everything that we have learnt is now internalised
and taken on board. It’s a good time to take a step back and review, rearrange,
reassess and re-do. With Jupiter involved, this might not be a bad thing as it
prevents us from exaggeration, extravagance, laziness and overconfidence. In
retrograde, Jupiter slows down and it’s a good time to clarify where we stand
on any particular issue before making a decision and move forward again. It’s a
time to work on our confidence and what we belief in. Jupiter retrograde in
Taurus allows us to take the grand ideas we have and work on a solid plan to
turn them into reality when Jupiter moves forward again in January. In Taurus,
this may well be a project that enhances financial security.
It’s also a good time to recharge the batteries by spending more time outdoors – Taurus is synonymous with the countryside, so it’s time to get out there and enjoy some autumn sun.
In Vedic astrology, Jupiter goes retrograde in Rohini nakshatra at 22 degrees of Taurus. Rohini promises growth, expansion, fertility, art and creation. In its retrograde motion, these areas can now be stabilised and internalised.
Jupiter goes over the same degree span three times before it finally moves past 22 degrees of Taurus at the end of April 2013. This is a time to develop more stamina and perfect our actions in whichever house Jupiter sits through practice and repeat, repeat, repeat.
