I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the monthly solar horoscope for birthdays from 16th May to 15th June
November continues to be a big relationship month for Taureans as your 7th house of committed one-to-one relationships has Mercury, Mars and from 17th November also the Sun passing through AND with the North node keeping the spotlight on this area only for another few weeks until it changes sign in mid-January 2013. This emphasis on the 7th house has been felt since October so maybe you just met someone new and you’re still getting to know each other. Venus is also in your 5th house of love affairs until 17th November so I see a lot of discussion, communication and progress in your relationships. It’s such a very romantic time of the year for you, however, with Mars and Mercury in deep, contemplative but also argumentative Scorpio, there may also be a little bit of tension in existing relationships. Things may get a bit fiery and disagreements may come to the surface. But despite the heated debates, it’s also a passionate time with a lot of physical communication! Debates may evolve around the future of your relationship and perhaps also children with your ruler Venus in the house of (pro-) creativity. Ultimately, a pregnancy could be on the cards with so much physical energy and focus on relationships around.
If you are single, it feels like November is certainly the month when you decide to put the energy into meeting someone new. You have every opportunity to do so, just keep an open mind. Autumn is always the time of the year for Taureans when their attention turns more outwards towards one-tone relationships. The full moon at the end of the month puts the spotlight on your relationship axis and is a represents a point of culmination. Things come out in the open and find its natural conclusion. In practice, this means that you finally decide to commit to one particular relationship or someone special enters your life.
However, if anything does indeed need to be discussed in your one-to-one relationships, do it before Mercury goes retrograde from 7th November for three weeks. Mercury retrograde causes delays but it’s also a time to rethink, redo, remake, rebuilt and reassess. Mercury is where we focus our thoughts and mind, so in the 7th house, it’s a good time to make sure what you agree and plan with your partner – the personal or professional kind – is solid and realistic. Mercury then moves into the 6th house of work and health routines. This is a good time for all kind of mental work. Attention to detail and a higher level of perfection now come easier. It’s also a good time to discuss issues at work or communicate better with colleagues and to take another look at details at work or any kind of information you receive or disseminate. Once Mercury goes direct on 27th November and with the full Moon a couple of days later things in all this area becomes much clearer again and things can start moving forward from them on.
November is also a big month for another reason Taurus; it’s eclipse month and this time, the solar eclipse is happening on 13th November at about 10pm GMT just at the end of Libra conjuncting the North node in Scorpio. This is a hugely exciting month, sparking a lot of changes in all our lives. New moons are new beginnings – sometimes the ones we can’t see immediately – but tied into the eclipse, it’s might be time of powerful change, transformation and a turning point for many of us. For you Taurus, it’s happening in your 6th house of work, health and day-today routines. If you are now applying yourself to your work and maybe also physically, it will have many benefits for you in the long-term. As soon as you apply yourself to the task at hand, you will see major progress. With Venus transiting the 6th house from 18th, it’s also an excellent time to build and foster relationships at work which ultimately might help enhance your overall status. Looking at Vedic astrology, this solar eclipse is in the nakshatra of Vishakha, ruled by Jupiter. Jupiter gives strength, faith and optimism while Vishakha Moons are said to reap the fruits of their labour eventually but only after some time and some effort.
With Saturn in the same sign as the eclipse, delays may well occur and some effort and discipline is required to reap the benefits. Saturn is now transiting the 6th house for the next two years or so and wherever Saturn transits, we need to overcome a challenge to move forward with bags of wisdom (sometimes also more responsibility). In the 6th house and in Libra, Saturn actually feels quite comfortable. Although it’s in a slightly awkward angle to your Taurus Sun, Moon or Ascendant that will sometimes feel like an irritating wasp that won’t go away or keeps coming back, Saturn here just makes sure you keep your nose down and focussed on your work. Saturn is also the ruler of your solar 10th house of profession and life direction, so many Taureans might come through to the end of this transit changing jobs or profession altogether. In the meantime, just try and avoid falling into the workaholic trap if you can help it. Taureans are known for just getting on with it so I don’t see major hick-ups unless your work situation is so dire that it is becoming unbearable. In this case, this transit will make sure you get out of there as quickly as you can. One word of caution – this transit can also affect your health. If you have had any worries around your health, these might now also come to a head.
Mercury then moves over the eclipse point on 18th and 19th November, so your mind might then be firmly focused on the issues, news or emerging circumstances which came to light around the eclipse. Watch out for further clues and progress when the North node passes the eclipse point on 15th January, hovering between the area of your day-to-day routines and relationships and pay attention to what’s going on around the lunar eclipse in May 2013. I will talk more about the North node in your solar 6th house next month before it moves into this area for 18 months in mid-January 2013.
November is actually quite a nice month for Taureans, so enjoy!
