I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the monthly solar horoscope for
birthdays from 16th December to 14th January
November is a big month for all of us – it’s eclipse month and big
changes are at our door step. The solar eclipse on 13th November at
about 10pm GMT takes place just at the end of Libra conjuncting the North node
in Scorpio. This is a hugely exciting month, sparking a lot of changes in all
our lives as new moons are new beginnings – sometimes the ones we can’t see
immediately.
Tied into the eclipse, it might be time of powerful change,
transformation and a turning point for many Sagittarians. The eclipse happens
in the solar 11th house of friends,
community, socialising, clubs, associates, hopes and wishes and the global,
corporate marketplace. It’s been a busy time for Sagittarians in this area;
many would have already been out and about perhaps more than usual and put
their energies into expanding their social network with Mercury having
travelled through this house last month and the Sun still there until 15th
November. The Sun meets Saturn in this house this month and Mercury also goes retrograde
on 6th November. Overall feelings may be a bit muted and there may
be some miscommunication around friendships or within social groups. Things put
out there into the www. might not be what they seem to be at this time. The 11th
house is also the house of your future,
gains, acquisitions and obtainment,
so plans, projects and goals may receive a shake-up. Alternatively, you may
also see some friendships come to an end around the 13th. With Saturn
in 11th house over the next two or so years you will make sure you
choose very carefully who you give your friendship to in any case.
With the eclipse and Saturn in the 11th house, there may also
be issues or changes connected to your partner’s children (those from a
previous marriage or relationship, not your own). For the next six months until
the lunar eclipse occurs in the opposite sign of Aries, the focus will be on
these areas. Watch out for further clues and progress in these matters when the
North node passes the eclipse point on 15th January and for the
lunar eclipse in May 2013.
Looking at Vedic astrology, this solar eclipse is in the nakshatra of
Vishakha, ruled by Jupiter. Jupiter gives strength, faith and optimism while
Vishakha Moons are said to reap the fruits of their labour only after some time
and some effort. With Saturn in the same sign as the eclipse, some delays may
well occur and some effort and discipline may be required.
The Mercury retrograde in November slows things down but it is also a
time to rethink, redo, remake, rebuild and reassess. In the 12th
house, this may mean that your thoughts are not very clear at this time and
information is not so readily available and out in the open. Mercury also rules
your solar 7th house of partnerships and your 10th house
of career; this may also be where your mind is focused and where some things
need re-doing. Once Mercury goes direct on 27th November and things
in all these areas become much clearer again and can start moving forward from
them on – perhaps you will then even reconnect with an old friend and
communication with your social group will flow a bit better again.
Venus opposes Uranus in the 4th house this month and squares
Pluto in the 1st house. A property situation can change quickly and then
change again – keep a cool head. Venus is only tied into the T-square for the
first week of November.
The great news is that Mars moves into Sag on 10th November,
combining with Pluto. This will give you great determination, willpower and
strength. After it’s been in the 12th house of hidden agendas where
everything was a bit blurry and all your efforts seemed to disappear in a black
whole, November sees a resurgence of your energies and focus. You active,
energetic and enterprising again – as the ruler of your solar 5th
house, it may be a great time to kick-start a creative project. Just be
careful, Pluto in conjunction is a great tool to transform yourself but if you try and force things, this can be
counterproductive.
When I looked at your chart, Sag, the overall energy seemed to be one of
self- development. A time when you let go of old ways of thinking and feeling,
outdated ideas and may be even groups and friends you can no longer associate
with…and why not!
