I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the monthly solar horoscope for
birthdays from 16th November to 15th December
Happy birthday Scorpio, it’s your birthday month and what an exciting and
eventful one it is going to be. It’s eclipse month and the solar eclipse is
happening on 13th November at about 10pm GMT just at the end of
Libra conjuncting the North node in Scorpio. This is a hugely exciting month,
sparking a lot of changes in all our lives. Particularly as the eclipse take
place in one of your angular houses, it can sparks changes in your professional
life, the home life, it can impact relationships – simply put, it might impact
Scorpios’ entire life direction. Angular houses in the horoscope are dynamic
and planets in the 1st, 4th, 7th or 10th
houses express the most action and have the strongest impact. Same with the
rulers of these houses. However, in the 1st house and around the
Ascendant in particular, the focus is on your personal identity, self-development,
-recognition and -esteem. Part of this process is also acknowledging your
weaknesses and a certain lack of strength in some areas. You might doubt your
life direction and perhaps feel a little insecure and isolated at this time. But
think about where you can enrich yourself and where you have not stood up for
yourself, where you did not stand up for your own goals and express your
desires?
Although the eclipse happens just at the end of your solar 12th
house, I am looking at it as though it is in your 1st house already.
With Mars, and more recently the Sun and Mercury transiting your 12th
house of endings, you would have already had a couple of months of letting go,
working behind the scenes and internal
refurbishment. Saturn has also been transiting this house since the summer
and for the next two or so years so you will still be confronted with this ‘end
of an era’ feeling for some time. As with all slow moving, outer planets,
Saturn transiting into a new house takes some time to get used to. In the 12th
house, it might have been a little confusing and disorientating but this
transit will ultimately feel like a spring clean and will help you get rid of
some out of date and unnecessary attachments.
After the 17th, Venus the ruler of your 7th house
is also in your 12th house where it meets Saturn. It’s a sober time
for relationships and although it could bring someone from your past back into
your life, it can also herald the end of one particular relationship. When a
planet conjuncts Saturn, it become clear very quickly what has and hasn’t
worked and what or who needs to go. You have also had Jupiter in the 7th
house of one-to-one relationships since the summer and is in retrograde motion
until 31st January 2013. Read my blog post on what this means in
general. I don’t see Jupite r retrograde as a big issue but for you, this means
that your one-to-one relationships will have received a boost over the past
months; maybe you have opened up to the possibility of meeting someone new
while established relationships have been more expansive in some way. In retrograde motion, we are internalising, stabilising
and strengthening everything that has been put in front of us.
If that’s not enough, Mercury is also going retrograde in your 1st
house and back into your solar 12th house on 19th
November for the rest of the month. So there seems to be a lot of
renegotiating, re-thinking and adjustment going on before you can move forward again
with a much clearer perspective. And think about it, there may be a reason for
the delays.
Although your solar 12th house is packed for you this month, overall,
I feel November is a time of new beginnings in some way for Scorpios. This is
not a short-term process but a longer-term process and perhaps in a few months’
time, when you look back, you’ll only realise then that something has changed. This
can relate to how you view the world and how others view you but it can also
affect your intimate partnerships.
Scorpios that have been single for a while are opening up to someone new
and this might be the time when that special someone can enter your life.
Something should shift next month as you become even clearer about what you are
looking for and how to attract it.
Established relationships might see progress and forward movement. There
is a gear change in the air and some Scorpios that have been dating for some
time might end up engaged before the year is out. Those already married might
finally face up to what needs to change, ready for a new course in the relationship.
Remember that although Jupiter in the 7th house is not a bad thing,
it expands everything it touches, same as the North node, which is still in
your first house until mid-January 2013. So, if there are existing issues
they’ll easily get out of hand now. Keep a cool head and consider all
possibilities. This, of course, also goes for business partnerships. Where have
you been treated unfairly? Have you been carrying most of the responsibility?
Or, think about where the relationship can be improved to further expand the
business? Especially when Mercury goes direct again on 27th November
and moves back into your 1st house on 7th December, it’s
time for some straight talking.
Looking at Vedic astrology, this solar eclipse is in the nakshatra of
Vishakha, ruled by Jupiter. Jupiter gives strength, faith and optimism while
Vishakha Moons are said to reap the fruits of their labour only after some time
and some effort. With Saturn in the same sign as the eclipse, some delays may
well occur and some effort and discipline may be required.
Watch out for further clues and progress when the North node passes the
eclipse point on 15th January 2013 and for the lunar eclipse in May
2013.
Mars rules your sign and is transiting the 2nd house together
with Pluto. This is a powerful combo and speaks for turbulent but
transformative times when it comes to your finances and self-worth. Sounds
scary but it also makes you more powerful than you think you are.
To sum it up, the emphasis is now on letting go to make room for
something new, to seize the right opportunities that are put in front of your
feet while taking your time to rethink, adjust and grow.
