However, during the first few days in December, you’ll still feel the effects of the full Moon across your 5th and 11th house axis. The month starts off a lot more social and you’re in the mood for romance and a bit of fun. It’s the party season after all so make the most of it. If you are single, then the effects of the full Moon at the end of November which was connected to the North node / Rahu in your 5th house of true love, could bring someone new into your life and it might feel quite fated. Events connected to whichever house the north node travels through, always feel fated and can be felt up to three months before the eclipse and for quite some time after. The North node still remains in your 5th house until mid-January before it moves into your 4th house shaking up many areas of your life over the next 18 months. As the month goes on, more and more planets are gathering in your 5th house – a great time not only for romance, but also for you to enjoy yourself and be creative. This may sound a bit airy fairy but with Saturn, the taskmaster, at the bottom of your chart, having the focus shift from your internal life to something a bit more outgoing and social may be a welcome respite. Over the next two years, you’ll be doing a lot more internal work so enjoy the time off in December.
Early
December also has Mars in your 6th house of daily work and health routines.
Mars rules your 10th house of career, so as a Cancer you naturally want to put
a lot of energy into your job. This month could really see you move up the
career ladder as Mars connect to powerful Pluto. Mars and Pluto are in a good
angle to your 10th house, so while some of your colleagues may feel a little
jealous, this should not affect you too much. You have all the tools available
not to make a huge impact in this area. I’m not quite convinced that these
transits will make you look for another job entirely but you may make some
significant changes to your routine, how you work and how you relate to your
colleagues. As the month progresses, all of this will become even more of a
focus as the Sun and Mercury move through the 6th house too. If you are indeed looking
for a new job then the time around April next year and October will be more
significant and impactful for that. It may even be that you’ll be moving home
and therefore, your place of work.
Overall,
December will feel quite different compared to November and a lot of things
that have been on hold, or felt as though they were, are beginning to move
forward again with a number of planets moving forward again after a time of
going backwards. Retrograde periods are necessary to keep us on the right track!
Uranus
in your 9th house of the long-distance travels, higher learning and philosophy
is going direct on 13th December and connects to your 5th house. A sudden
creative idea can turn out to be stroke of genius or, again, it can be
connected to romance so someone new can very suddenly enter your life. December
2012 and January 2013 generally will see you focus on your one-to-one
relationships a lot more and will offer an opportunity to deepen the bond with
whoever you meet at this time – if you want it to, that is!
As
every month, there is also a new Moon on 13th December. Again, for you, this is
in your 5th house and heralds a new beginning. It’s a new beginning that you
may not fully recognise at this time but it connects to Jupiter that transits
your house of friends and networks. Over that past year, this network of
friends and acquaintances could have expanded significantly so maybe new
romance or your creative ideas and inspirations will come via this newly found
circle of people you’ve began to surround yourself with.
In
Indian astrology, this December 2012 new Moon happens in the nakshatra (the
chart is divided into 27 sections or nakshatras) of Jyestha. This nakshatra is
said to be an independent and ambitious one but also one where we have to do
things by ourselves. In this nakshatra, we can’t and don’t want to rely on
others but have to take the position of leader. It’s also the nakshatra of the
creative eccentric so in your 5th house, it may turn out to be a great time to
follow your ideas, hopes and dreams without paying too much attention of what
other people think. As a Cancer, you can sometimes be a little bit touchy,
however, always ambitious so don’t be worried about going after what you want
instead of taking care or other people’s needs for fear they will reject you in
some way.
The
month then ends with the powerful full Moon across your 6th and 12th house
axis. This time will bring things to a close and a peak, so have a think about
what happened around the July 3rd full Moon as well as first quarter Moon on
March 30th 2012. Anything that shifted then will be part of the story now. After
a very social month for Cancarians, December draws to a close putting you in a
dreamy mood. Follow your intuition at time and think about what you have
achieved over the course of the year and what needs to be eliminated.
