December 2012 horoscope - Taurus

As we enter December, you are still under the influence of the lunar eclipse at the end of November which put the spotlight on your 7th house of relationships. Autumn is always the time of the year for Taureans when their attention turns more outwards towards one-to-one relationships and this year, with the lunar eclipse finishing an 18 month cycle of fated encounters and expansion in this area, you may have experienced one particular relationship go to the next level. In any case, a relationship situation would have reached a peak or found its natural conclusion. In practice, this means that you finally decided to commit to one particular relationship or someone special could have entered your life. In December, you will also have plenty of opportunity to deepen this relationship and have some fun together. Alternatively, you may have been feeling a little restless around one particular relationship that has not been going too well and you may now, in the early days of December, if it has not already happened, decide to call it a day and move on. Again, if this is the case, then December offers opportunities for Taureans to think about what they really want from their closest relationships moving forward. However, be careful not to keep looking at the negative side of your situation or to criticise people too readily. Give people some credit, be generous, tolerant and don’t expect too much of others - you’re very good at that as a Taurus. 

Mercury, the planet of communication, will lend you a helping hand when he moves into your area of relating on 7th December followed by Venus on 12th. It will then be easier for you to not only address any issues in relationships – whether these are personal or business related – you will also be able to find the right words to express what’s on your mind. If you have been putting up with a relationship situation for some time, the moment has now come to address that.

Despite the potential for some disagreements, there is still a great sense of optimism around you. You still have Jupiter in your 1st house until next summer and although it is in retrograde motion, there will still be plenty of expansion and opportunity around your relationships in December. Jupiter rules your 8th house of joint finance and intimacy as well as your 11th house of gains, so while there is some readjustment to be done for the time being, these areas could also be a focus in your relationships in December, especially in the latter part of the month as planets start gathering in your 8th house. This is all about joint resources, so maybe you’ve just started living with a partner or are thinking about setting up a business with someone. Questions around joint bank accounts, taxes, loans and shared responsibilities will be on your mind and you will be confronted with that.

In the meantime, single Taureans have lots of opportunity lots of opportunity to get to know new people. The majority of planets are on the side of the chart that looks at other people. You are very outgoing at this time and everyone around you can see that and the good vibes come back to you. Not only do you have Mercury, Venus, Rahu / North node and the Sun travelling through your 7th house for most of the month, the new Moon also falls in this house on 13th. New Moons are new beginnings and often, this signifies a change in status – in your solar 7th house, it may well be that you now decide that you’ll quit the dating scene to commit to that special someone. This aspect particularly favours those Taureans with their Ascendants at around 25 – 30 degrees of Taurus. If you birthday falls from 10th – 15th June, then it may still affect your partnerships but there is also a chance that is can affect your position at work!

In Indian astrology, this December 2012 new Moon happens in the nakshatra (the chart is divided into 27 sections or nakshatras) of Jyestha. This nakshatra is said to be an independent and ambitious one but also one where we have to do things by ourselves. In this nakshatra, we can’t and don’t want to rely on others but have to take the position of leader. It’s also the nakshatra of the creative eccentric so in your 7th house, again, it may turn out to be a great time to start afresh in committed relationships where you may be reclaiming some of your independence.

This new Moon is also accompanied by a forward moving Uranus in the house of independence, friends, hopes, dreams and gains. Uranus can bring sudden developments into your life and with all planets bar Jupiter moving forward again in December, expect things in many areas of life to get moving again. Uranus aspects all transiting planets in your 7th house favourably, so once more, the spotlight in on your relationships and what you hope to gain from them. If you are single and looking, then your group and friends and associates can hold the key to end that status this month.

In any case, a lot of progress and development can now be expected in the area of friends and acquaintances.

The month then ends with the powerful full Moon across your 2nd and 8th house axis. This time will bring things to a close and a peak, so have a think about what happened around the July 3rd full Moon as well as first quarter Moon on March 30th 2012. Again, this may have to do with joint financed of committed relationships, whether they are personal or business related. It may be an intense time as you take a good look at long-term finances.
